How Pokemon go updates come out. We rolled out the update xxx.0 on time. Someone got out a bug - immediately the xxx.1 update comes out. New glitch - here is version xxx.2. Again a glitch - here xxx.3 and xxx.4.
How are updates coming ingress. Update is coming on time. A bug got out - ok, wait 2 weeks. Two weeks pass: "Well, here we decided to skip the version, wait again."
Out of curiosity, are there any bugs that is affecting your gameplay badly enough that you need an update ASAP?
I'm asking because I generally do not like updates just for the sake of an update. I don't expect new features from Niantic every 2 weeks, and while there are certainly plenty of bugs in the game, none of them are crippling for me right now, and I'd rather they don't introduce more. I would welcome a new stable version with bug fixes, of course, but if things are stable enough, I'd rather they just let it be.
Last update is from Ofer on the 17th, but nothing further. I'm going to guess that they aren't quite done with it yet based on the lack of a follow up post.
New content or updates, or heck, even some actual communication would be great. There are plenty of bugs out there yet to squash. And new features might help retain active agents, or even grow them, or better yet, bring in a new channel of revenue.
Hey, we ran into some problems during the server move which made us have to move more of it over at a time rather than incrementally. This is what I was referring to when I mentioned that I will update later with when we will continue our tests. Intel ran into some problems when moving over by itself, so we decided to hold off until we could move over more of the rest of the server. The server team is still working through this process, and we hope to finish with it soon. I apologize for any issues that pop up as a result of this move and please let me know if you see any. As for the client, the team is still working hard to make sure that the prime client is a worthy replacement for redacted, but at the same time is also working on delivering new things for players.
If it works better to just schedule an actual outage for the server move and move it over in one s-h-o-t, vs in chunks/pieces, please escalate a request this action. I'm sure most, if not all of us would rather have it fully functional than half broken for extended period of time.
Since the December update I have had minimal problems with forced reboot, freezes etc. Thank you. Only once in a while it glitches. Instead of what was normal for 2019: 30-45 minutes of play followed by freeze/forced reboot.
No support for Hebrew or any other RTL and not keeping the promise to add that support before redact is gone. 90% of the local players gone away as you simply can't read portal names.
Indeed, it is about time that Niantic finally honor its long overdue commitment to feature-parity with Redacted — at least with regard to proper support for bidirectional (BiDi) text that includes Right-to-Left (RTL) languages such as Hebrew, Arabic, and Persian. This is not merely a "cosmetic" issue, but a serious functional limitation that affects the entire Middle East!

The said they planned releases every two weeks.
Be an adult and accept that plans aren't promises.
Also, holiday season is just over...
Don't be so impatient
Most of their staff had a 1-2 week holiday, so this week is about when there should be a new release.
They also spent a week or so working on the Intel map server move. I'm sure that took up some client development time.

Exactly this!
They plan to have frequent plans but that doesn't mean that you have to freak out if they miss a day or a week.
Relax, hack some portals and field away. :)
They did quote 2 weeks (but 7th to 17th isn't quite 2 weeks) for the Intel map move/updates.

Actually, it's 10 business days, which, if you tack on 2 weekends, is 2 weeks. ;-)
So based on this, we are going to charge you for 10 vacation days off for the 7th to the 17th.
Cool. 👍️
Pshhh, I was calculating 7 to 17 as 10. Calendars are hard man.
I remind you that the last time the game was updated in the past decade.)))))))

*edit due to the silly censorship on this forum
That depends if that option is available for them. It's probably like a Frankenstein of code that needs to be online somewhat for functionality.
Thanks for the update, @NianticOfer . It is appreciated!
I dont pay attention to the timeframe but as long as delays is understandable like prioritizng Intel map repairs, thats fine. Be patient people :)

This action range circle reduced while using new arrows skin is stupid it shouldn't even have happen. New feature unusable.
It just appears reduced, the actual interaction distance is not affected by the skin.
it’s still embarrassing and I wouldn’t use it but it isn’t “unusable”.

This is a huge issue. Ingress in Israel is basically dead because of this. There certainly aren't any active players left in Jerusalem.
