<p>A popup with "ingress is not supported on this device configuration" appears. I can understand if Ingress don't like my custom Android 13 on my Samsung S8,but i also got Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 on stock Android 9 with closed bootloader and it also tells the same.</p><p>Can i have some clarification about what's going on?</p><p>NB PokemonGo works well,even GooglePay works,but not Ingress.</p>]]>

Sometimes it's the first time you load the client that day, sometimes you just closed the client due to the lagg issue, and you have to log in again.         <title>Upcoming Changes to the Ingress Community Forum</title>

On Monday, 15 April 2024, the Ingress forum will be shut down and we will encourage Agents to use the <a href="https://community.ingress.com/en/home/leaving?allowTrusted=1&amp;target=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.reddit.com%2Fr%2FIngress%2F" rel="nofollow noopener ugc">r/Ingress/</a> subreddit as a place to share their stories and victories with other Agents.</p><p>This was a tough decision to make but we feel this will be better in the long run.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Why the change?</strong></p><p>As we reflect on the last four and a half years with the forum, there were a lot of positive and exciting moments–from media drops and puzzles to the introduction of the XMAs and discussions around live events. There were a handful of factors but despite all of its benefits, the forum has been unsuccessful in replacing Google+ in providing a shared space for Agents to gather and connect. There are many existing, thriving communities such as the r/Ingress subreddit which we feel serve the Ingress community just as well, if not better. </p><p>With this change, we will be able to spend our energy fostering existing communities, and focusing on improving and growing the game. Agents are encouraged to continue to reach out to Niantic with feedback via Support and social media.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Here is what to expect in the upcoming weeks:</strong></p><ul><li>community.ingress.com will become read-only on Monday, 1 April 2024.</li><li>community.ingress.com will close on Monday, 15 April 2024.</li><li>References to community.ingress.com will be removed from Scanner targeted Wednesday, 10 April 2024.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>What will happen to my forum content?</strong> </p><p>All of the content on community.ingress.com will be deleted after the forum closes on Monday, 15 April 2024. We encourage Agents to please make sure to screenshot your favorite content or use tools such as the Wayback Machine to save and access content in the future.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>How can I share my feedback with Niantic?</strong></p><p>The team actively monitors various Agent communities across platforms including, but not limited to in-App support, /r/Ingress, X, and numerous Telegram communities.  The Ingress team is also looking at ways it can engage with the community regularly such as hosting AMAs on reddit, Dev Diaries, and more.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>What about the Vanguard and XMA programs?</strong></p><p>Both the Vanguards and XMAs have been wonderful and helpful contributors to the Ingress team and we are so grateful for their contributions. However, as we look forward, it is becoming clear that these programs are in need of a revamping. Effective 15 April 2024, both the Vanguard and XMA programs will be retired in their current form and we will relaunch a new, unified Player Ambassador program before the end of 2024. </p><p>A number of Vanguards have opted-in to staying on until the new program is launched and will be available for player inquiries as well as providing feedback and advice to Niantic on updates being made to support as a result of the forum shutdown.         <description><![CDATA[<p>I have been playing for a few weeks and my trekker medal is at 0. My weekly report came out today  it showed 48km yet My trekker medal at 0. Haven’t captured any metal progress dispute being very active the past few weeks.  Also, I tried deleting and reinstalling the app turning on and off adventure sync no luck.   I have not had this issue in other Niantic games.</p>]]>

<p>I tried to report the CAL error via support but my in-game support was stuck on a ticket I reported in August  about Adventure Sync, which was fixed in a later update. It turns out the ticket was never cleared. <p>My wife and son were also there. My wife had not played ingress in more than a month. She may have opened the scanner and hacked a portal earlier in the day but that was about it.</p><p> When she attacked the CAL restricted portal it was fine. No CAL message. She destroyed the portal and I could then capture the portal without a CAL issue.</p><p><strong>Issues</strong></p><ol><li> Why could I attack a portal 50m away from the CAL portal and still get a CAL block?</li><li>What does an agent do if they already have an uncleared  ticket (like me) and hit the CAL issue?</li><li>Why are old tickets not getting cleared? Is there anything agents can do this clear resolved tickets?</li><li>Why do I, who has played almost everyday for the past few months get a CAL block while my wife who has not played for the last few months may except may be an odd hack not get a CAL issue?</li></ol><p><strong>Possible Solution</strong></p><p>Niantic has a lot of information about me. Recursed twice, 167M lifetime AP, 60 (real) mission days, 42 (real) NL events, 16 anomalies on the ground (excluding BB only anomalies) among others.  These stats, should be enough to confirm I am a real agent. The fact that I regularly play all around the world (having completed a MD in each continent) should be obvious if CAL is based on historical agent data.</p><p>Even if this was not the case I had been peeling the BAF inside out for a good 15+ layers without a problem. The last portal only ~50 meters away from the second last portal should not be a problem. If I was doing this by myself it would have been a 4+ hour drive (one way) wasted.</p><p>This is no more frustrating than driving 4+ hours to put up a field only have it killed by a fake agent.   In my experience majority of BAFs were not spoofed down.  But from my sample of one, evey/most legitimate attackers are getting hit wit a CAL block.  </p><p>It seems the CAL approach has just shifted the frustration from builders to attackers.  More than that an occasional frustration for builders have turned in to a guaranteed frustration to attackers.  </p><p>I suggest Niantic establish some sort of hard-to-achieve, secret (if do desired) base line profile (eg. recursed, X in-person events, over a 100M+ AP etc) where the CAL restriction does not apply.  Otherwise you are going to end up with lots of very frustrated agents.</p><p>  I am happy to provide additional detail if needed.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Since mid-day Sept 10th I have been unable to login into Ingress.</p><p>I'm running Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, Android 13 with all the latest available updates. Ingress 2.124.2</p><p>I have this problem when I'm on gigabit WiFi, LTE or 5G(speed test shows 500mbit down/180mbit up, 0 packet loss).</p><p>The last time I was able to use Ingress on this phone was shortly after 12am on Sept 10th.</p><p>Later the same night at around 2am I got OS security update from Samsung. It installed without any problems or errors. I haven't tried Ingress after that until 12pm the same day and that's when I couldn't login and performed all the troubleshooting steps below.</p><p>To troubleshoot this issue I have rebooted my phone multiple times, deleted app cache, deleted app data, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, formatted cache partition.</p><p>None of this helped. Campfire works fine too. Other apps and websites which use the same Google account for authentication work fine too.</p><p>In addition to that Pokemon GO also gets stuck after the account selection, until it times out. Pikmon Bloom doesn't even get to the login screen, it's just spinning forever. But my primary concern is Ingress.</p><p>None of the other apps or websites that I use on this phone have any problems connecting to the internet and working properly. Only Niantic's apps can't login.</p><p><br /></p><p>I also have old LG V30 and on it Ingress works fine, so it seems like it's something between Ingress(and other Niantic apps) and Samsung's update.</p><p><br /></p><p>Please assist.</p>]]>

<p>We’re releasing Dronenet now in Ingress 2.48 as a “Mark I” so we can hear early feedback from Agents to help us shape the direction of how the feature may evolve over time. We’ll launch and iterate. In the next Ingress update, we have the first Dronenet improvements already scheduled, like a visible cooldown timer to make it easier to see the time remaining before your Drone is ready to move. We're especially eager to experiment with different ways to play using Dronenet to explore an area, from Portal to Portal. </p><p>Dronenet allows Agents to deploy Drone Mark I to any neutral, friendly, or enemy Portal within view on the map screen. Agents can hack a Target Portal for items once per Drone flight, and the Drone can move once every 60 minutes. It can’t be used to retrieve a Portal Key or take any other action. We haven’t yet identified what’s causing these intermittent hangs, and we’re investigating possible causes to find the root cause. Because the root cause is still unknown, we don’t have an estimated timeframe to share right now.</span></p><p>The team is continuing to investigate latency experienced when deploying/recharging portals. We looked to see if our auto-scaling was a cause and found that it was not. We are instrumenting other parts of the system as well to collect more data and narrow down the search but have not found any new clues yet.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Missing POIs, Edits, Etc | Status: Under Investigation [12 Nov 2021]</strong></p><p><span style="text-decoration: line-through;">The team is also still investigating why some Wayspots are not yet appearing in Ingress as Portals. This is another situation where the cause has not been identified and both the Wayfarer and Ingress teams are trying to find where the issue lies in order to resolve it. Because the cause of the issue is still unknown, we don’t have an estimated timeframe to share right now.</span></p><p>I do not have an update at this time. Both the Wayfarer and Ingress teams continue to work on this.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Roadmap</strong></p><p>With all of that being said, I want to share some insight into how the team is finishing 2021 and getting ready to take on 2022. I have switched over all 3 of my accounts over to the new email (Apple ID, Facebook, and Gmail) and the emails are still being sent to my old email. I am even able to sign onto the Intel map using my new email (the old email doesn’t work on the Intel map anymore) and I still get emails to my old one. The issue remains regardless of whether I’m signed in on my Android or iPhone.</p>]]>

Any other threads related to spoofing will be closed and directed here. Continuing to create new threads after we’ve directed you here will result in warnings and if it continues, possible forum suspension/bans.</li><li><strong>The Ingress Community Forum is not Support</strong>. The folks helping with the community are not equipped to provide support assistance and we cannot discuss account-related details in public (forums, social media, Telegram, etc).</li><li><strong>This thread is not an escalation path</strong> and while it will be monitored and feedback shared internally where appropriate, it is unlikely that you will get a response from the team monitoring the forum. Why have the thread then? Because I want you to have a place where you can share your frustrations, because we are listening, and because I want to make sure we preserve the rest of the forum for other conversations.</li><li>Posts containing information beyond support ticket numbers will be edited (possibly deleted) and will be issued warnings. If they continue, we’ll evaluate whether banning from the forum is appropriate. <strong>The posting of Agent Codenames with accusations of cheating is against the </strong><a href="https://community.ingress.com/en/discussion/10/community-guidelines" rel="nofollow noopener ugc"><strong>Ingress Community Guidelines</strong></a>. I’m not expecting rainbows and sunshine, but I’m expecting better.
