        <description><![CDATA[<p>So, towards the end of the double AP event I requested assistance on getting an apex replaced because of a glitch pulling a second one out of my inventory and giving me the time for one. Fast forward to the issue "being resolved."</p><p>August 15th, I get a DM from a friend and asks if I deleted my account. I said no and went to log in. I see a message about my item being returned, then the app force closed. Put in the credentials in the sign I'm process, then a screen popped up about agreeing to the terms and conditions. I read them and agreed, clicked on, then an error screen. I uninstalled and reinstalled and the same pop ups happened. I reached out to a few other agents and they asked if my account was terminated, I said I didn't request it. So I put in as many things as I could to try and figure out what happened. Was I banned without notice? And for what? I don't spoof, don't bot, etc. Did Ingress terminate my account? If so, why? I was and had a core subscription active and nearing the next month's payment. </p><p>So, after all that and no immediate answer I waited. All things I had done: resos, mods, links all had been removed from the game, and wasn't able to be pinged. Me also knowing I was the only fighting to keep links up so Machina couldn't cross certain areas, knew everything was in serious and quick trouble. </p><p>The responses start coming in like, do you remember your name? Your sign in info? Etc. Yes. Can you reproduce this bug? Yes, every time. After those waves of responses over the first day or so, everything gets escalated to research/care teams, etc. So they can figure out what happened. Several more days go by with no answers, no successful log in, nothing. The day of my subscription renewal is here, no account to use. So I cancel. A couple more days of silence, I said whatever you've done is probably irreversible to fix at this point. </p><p>(8/26) I get an email saying my account is back up, and am excited to see if everything has been returned to what it was. </p><p>What I get (see attached images of gear and level). All resos and links not restored, my lockers emptied and gone, my capsules all missing including the items inside them, all my gear, my AP is in the negatives, my level is incorrect. Oh, but I now have 2000 bursters.... <p>Update: a few days later my account gets "fixed" one empty key locker is added, a few caps and k caps are present, but also empty, I still have 2000 bursters, my level and AP have been fixed. </p><p>Still no answer as to what they did, still no full recovery of my account, still no restoration of resos, mods, and links before this happened. I feel like this isn't "fair" or "fun" experience violating their own model. I refuse to do anything in game until this is resolved, and also feel I should be compensated for this monumental **** up. Am I wrong?</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I had an issue with an apex well over a month ago, and the "fix" was to give me the apex back, but my account was compromised. The account was taken down for several days without explanation. When it was return as "fixed" my account AP was in the negatives, my level was incorrect all the keys were gone, all the lockers and caps were gone, all the premium items and other gear was gone. When I reported that my account was screwed up, they fixed the AP and level but never fixed the rest of the account. </p><p>I've had 5 tickets about this issue out and about since this whole debacle started and still haven't had progress since my account was "fixed". All reps have been silent and no higher ups have contacted me. I'm frankly beyond angry at this point, and so is the community. If you aren't going to fix my account I'd like my money back or the means to fix the account on my own. </p><p>To see how my account has been compromised and not fixed: I reinstall the game and log in, see the 2000 bursters and missing gear/keys. Then check all communication avenues to see if anyone from Ingress or Niantic has responded. </p><p>What I expected to happen: add apex and then remove 2000 or so AP from the account or "use" some free items to "gain" the offset AP. </p><p>What I got: 2000 bursters in place of thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars of keys and gear removed from my account. </p><p>Samsung A23 Android 5G most recent ingress update, as I recently redownload it after weeks of not playing.</p>]]>

After that he played in nearby area for some time. </p><p><br /></p><p>Then he again played on 5 January 2024 in Muscat and played for some time there. Later he captured some portals in sinaw linked multiple portals in Muscat from there. After that he stopped playing and later on 6 January 2024 he neutralized 'Al Ayjah Lighthouse' (<a href="https://community.ingress.com/en/home/leaving?allowTrusted=1&amp;target=https%3A%2F%2Fintel.ingress.com%2F%3Fll%3D22.568995%2C59.539722%26z%3D15%26pll%3D22.568995%2C59.539722%29" rel="nofollow noopener ugc">https://intel.ingress.com/?ll=22.568995,59.539722&amp;z=15&amp;pll=22.568995,59.539722)</a> at 14:38 IST after a gap of 14 hours resulting destroying over 100 fields providing billions of MU. </p><p><br /></p><p>Our points are why did a new player start playing early in morning and play for many hours on a different city to level up and immediately move to a city 500+ km away.</p><p><br /></p><p>I believe he might have accessed the lighthouse in the same day too but that isn't showing in the recorded history. But due to CAL he was unsuccessful. </p><p><br /></p><p>After taking down those BAFs, he/she deployed beacon on the portal and vanished. No activities after that. So, the motive was clear to level up and take down that anchor portal. </p><p><br /></p><p>We have reported this account, however no actions taken so far. Account is still active and is demoralizing our agents involved in that BAFs and many others too.         <description><![CDATA[<p>Dear Niantic Team,</p><p>My name is Gina, and I am reaching out with the intention of becoming a Vanguard for Ingress Prime in Switzerland. As a long-standing member of the Ingress community in Switzerland, a passionate supporter of augmented reality games, and an active member of the Ingress XF Switzerland Association, I wish to use my passion and commitment to further strengthen the presence and player experience of Ingress in our region.</p><p>I would like to emphasize that the history of Ingress has a special connection to Switzerland, as it originated here. This historical significance, combined with our active and growing community, provides an excellent foundation for hosting more events. As part of my involvement in the Ingress XF Switzerland Association, we regularly exchange ideas about events and organize a First Saturday (FS) event in Switzerland every month.         <description><![CDATA[<p>If a portal is completely inaccessible, shouldn’t it be removed, especially if no one has been able to access it after many years?  If that portal is located in a county that is closed to the public by state law, shouldn’t it be removed?  If it is against the law to access any part of that county, by boat, by tour, by fly-overs, by any means whatsoever, shouldn’t it be removed? The Kalaupapa Lighthouse is in Kalawao County, which is closed to the general public and commercial tours (per authority under HRS 326) in alignment with CDC and Hawaii State Department of Health guidance, and it has been for YEARS now. <a href="https://community.ingress.com/en/home/leaving?allowTrusted=1&amp;target=https%3A%2F%2Fintel.ingress.com%2Fintel%3Fpll%3D21.209539%2C-156.969691%26z%3D17" rel="nofollow noopener ugc">https://intel.ingress.com/intel?pll=21.209539,-156.969691&amp;z=17</a></p><p>The county is a CLOSED COUNTY per State Law. Enough is Enough. There needs to be a rule regarding this. “Trespassers will be arrested and fined”. The county is closed and the path to access it is also closed. You can not fly over it due to its proximity to the Restricted airfield, closed to the public and tours, and boats are not allowed anywhere near that county due to it still being a leper colony. WHICH IS CLOSED TO ALL OUTSIDERS, visitors, tours, the public, etc.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I've bought 3 NL-1331 SXSW kits but didn't get the email containing the ticket receipts. I've checked the Spam &amp; Deleted folder but still can't find it. So I reported the issue using the chatbot. </p><p><br /></p><p>After I reported the issue using the chatbot, it directed me to Niantic Support. ... The situation soon devolved into a Hell loop in which Niantic Support asked me to use the chatbot, and the chatbot again asked me to reach out to Niantic Support... Both then closed the issue ticket as if the issue was resolved and asked me to rate the help! 🙄 As if anything better than zero stars is warranted so far. </p><p><br /></p><p>The event is days away. Is all hope lost?</p>]]>

<p>Dear Agents, I know this isn't a real issue, but since I noticed it I would like to find a solution. I obtained the two Solstice Medals without considering the correct display order in the scanner. Since the Sun enters the Stonehenge from right to left, the correct order would be obtained with the in-store Medal on the right. I noticed that lots of other Agent accounts in the community have the same display. If somebody would like to re-order the Medals, maybe we could ask together support to Niantic?</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I started playing Ingress two months ago and love the game. I’m at level 11 currently. However, I experienced very toxic gaming dynamics in the community and wondering if this is consistent in every Ingress community or a unique problem in my community.  Here are the issues:</p><p>1) From day one of playing the game, i was being tailed by another player1 who wore a hoodie to prevent showing his face at night, and eventually got out of his car and try to approach me with face still covered. I made a comment on COMS that I find that unacceptable and asked that it be stopped. Well it didn’t, that player kept distance but still followed me around.</p><p>2) Two weeks went by and I made scoreboard. This is when the harassment increased. As soon as I would go out to play, player2 that a few people warned me about started stalking me. I was wondering how this person respond so fast and seems to be there when go out to play;  I have been told he lives approximately 15 minutes drive away. Three days later I found him parked in an unauthorized parking space of my residence, lights out, waiting (I have pictures and footage of it). This is how he is able to respond so fast. I sent him a DM on Niantic’s Social Platform asking him to stop the stalking and for us to meet in a public space to talk so I can get his side and an explanation for motive. He never responded back. He drives Uber too, and harasses players during his shifts and in between. I know he works for Uber because he told the community this. It’s been reported with a witness involved that this same player went to another player’s home shouting insults, including “…your dead father would be ashamed of you.” I was told by the local community that this kind of harassment has been going on since 2015, and a lot of players stopped playing Ingress for fear of being followed around to work, family events, etc, and didn’t want to jeopardize the safety of their lives and  safety of their family/friends network. He did this and still does to other players. After messaging him, I did not see him stalking my residence, but came out the following day and tailed me everywhere I went in my neighbourhood and around the city, and a few days after that.</p><p>3) I was invited into a group first week of playing, which l discovered this week that the owner (player3) of the server is friends with the bunch that is harassing the community. They identity themselves as “Leaders” for RES and ENL team. I left that ENL group because the owner of that discord sever kept defending the playing style and the players involved, and shuts down any conversation in defence. Few other players left the group that same day also.</p><p>4) After leaving that group, I was playing yesterday and parked at the entrance of a public park where there were two Bylaw Officers stationed at the entrance of the closed park during the day. The 3 players that consider themselves leaders of the local ingress community showed up and looped in circles twice  (the same cars that were tailing me from the start (i have pictures of the plates as proof). They drove off after  circling again (twice), one lopped 3 times. The Bylaw Officers noticed the commotion came over to my car and asked if i’m ok twice. </p><p>5) Another tactic of harassing other players is moving home portals from correct location to out of range. I have been told by the community that this tactic is used to “mess” with other players.</p><p>It seems like the older players in my community are trying to dominate the playing space for themselves and discouraging new players with harassment and bulling (which is a criminal offence in Canada). Scoreboard is a big part of it, as they want to dominate every aspect of the game. </p><p>**Question for Niantic**</p><p>1) Is this acceptable playing behaviour when your games are being played in communities?  </p><p>2) </p><p>a. If not, what can be done or should be done?</p><p>b.         <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi.</p><p>I've tried to open the Agent Chat(next to the Map) in the Niantic Social Menu. If i do, it opens the usual Terms of Service which i have to Agree. But i can not scoll down to the accept Button.         <description><![CDATA[<p>So I was in discussion with my local Ingress community regarding application for this event. Seems like players don’t want to commit to organizing this and the feedback was that it involves a lot of work to be a point of contact, and there is no support from Niantic to cover cost. </p><p>What I see so far for the short time that I played is that all events is about battle beckons and battle beckons sale packed as different events. Nothing different in terms of graphic in the game. Is there any event that looks different and not a repackage of the same idea over and over? The only thing that looks different is the badge. </p><p>Why does it have to be a sponsor event? What’s so special about it?</p>]]>

<p>We are requesting that Niantic take immediate action and prevent Resistance Agent bluedjude from continuing to impersonate Enlightened agent Nysyr on Niantic Social. This is directly against the Rules of Niantic Social (see screenshots).</p><p>  Bluedjude was banned from in games comms for insulting and unpleasant behaviour and then immediately started using Niantic Social to communicate directly with agents. As his display name is set to Nysyr, agents initially thought that the messages came from the real Nysyr. </p><p>We  don’t know who else he has messaged on other teams or in other games pretending to be someone he isn’t. </p><p>He has been impersonating Nysyr for months (see screenshots for December). We have already reported the impersonation account multiple times, but the account is still active and so we decided to post on the forums in hopes that Niantic will enforce their own rules against such a flagrant and obvious violation.</p>]]>
