        <title>Kinetic Capsule Ready Messing With Inventory</title>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, today when my Kinetic Capsules were ready to claim and I got the notification in game in the bottom right corner I noticed something strange. When I click the message it takes me into the inventory carousel to claim the capsules but if I back out it will display that the submenu I am in is whatever previous submenu I was in before clicking the message (resonators, weapons, etc) instead of being in the "Capsules" submenu.         <description><![CDATA[<p>One of the newest features on the Ingress Intel Map (<a href="https://community.ingress.com/en/home/leaving?allowTrusted=1&amp;target=https%3A%2F%2Fintel.ingress.com%2Fintel" rel="nofollow noopener ugc">https://intel.ingress.com/intel</a>) that I've really enjoyed is the "Layers" filter. One quality of life improvement that would really improve this feature would be an option to add multiple layers.</p><p>For example I'd love to be able to see all the portals that I have visited, but not captured without having to flip back and forth between the 2 filters. You could use a different colour circle whenever multiple filters are used (like an orange, black or white circle).</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>So it’s less than 24 hours into the Chronos global challenge. I’m currently on about 1670 - so about a third of the way to 5000.</p><p>To start with, it’s great to see Global Challenges back. They are one of my most favourite parts of the game - taking this sandbox game and tweaking the rules to turn gameplay upside down.</p><p>It’s unfortunate that there are only two tiers, the past few years have set a precedence for three. A tier that everyone can attain, one for most people and a challenging tier for those who work for it. In future, it would be nice to see a return to 3 tears.</p><p>The artwork isn’t particularly special. It looks like something you will see in an FS media, just a generic blend of green and blue. A stack isn’t really going to make me think of this event, unlike the characters from the Nemesis series: (Aurora, Didact, Optima etc.) </p><p>I like how there are multiple ways to earn points, than the event based on one specific metric. This helps people play the event in a way that suits them and their resources.</p><p>This event also gives a very long time window, rather than the conventional 10 days. This will help more people find the time to play.</p><p>Now for the main part, Overclocking.</p><p>if I was to summarise, I would say that the network is not ready.</p><p>We’ve recently had a wave of android devices no longer being compatible with scanning, so there is a large chunk of the community feeling disgruntled. I’m fortunate enough to have a high-end iPhone so these changes don’t directly affect me, I have to acknowledge that this event is significantly harder for others.</p><p>Many portals need more scans. Put simply. I live in a medium city that has had a lot of scans, people scanning for Battle Beacons, many people scanning portals for their scout controller, (uniques scout controlled) and at the start of this event, only a very small minority were actually eligible for overclocking.</p><p>I’ve had to spend my time trying to scan different portals to make more eligible for overclocking, but as familiar with the rules know, scanning, does not earn points for the event metric. Immediate feedback I would give to the team is to include a successful portal scan upload to count for a Chronos Point, it is contributing to the event, the network and is a necessity for a number of people.</p><p>The actual process of making a portal eligible for overclocking is extremely convoluted. Members of the community must scan the candidate, successfully upload the scans, then access the Wayfarer App (still in beta), create a lightship dev account to be able to see how many scans are needed and then request VPS activation.</p><p>I’ve found, and this is in my experience of about 15,000 scans, that probably between 50 and 80% of my slow, good scans are actually accepted by the database. so this would require between 15 and 20 scans to be uploaded, to meet the minimum requirement of 10 accepted scans to request VPS activation.</p><p>Even then, I have found in the field that just because a portal lets you overclock, it is not necessarily a good experience. Some simply do not want to calibrate or it can take multiple attempts.</p><p>The only reliable way I have found is to try and overclock portals I know have got upwards of 100 scans, that myself and my teammates have done.</p><p>There are wayspots that I know have been tasks in Pokémon GO, requesting scans for premium items that have 50+ scans uploaded on the wayfarer app, but then cannot be VPS activated because of the poor quality scanning.</p><p>Pokémon GO players are not scanning to build the network, they are doing it, begrudgingly for free premium items. As Ingress does not have incentives like that, only badges. Most Ingress players are scanning because they want to scan, and the quality seems to be better.</p><p>I’ve also noticed that VPS enabled portals on the lightship app I’m not showing as overclock eligible in Ingress, still wanting to receive more scans. I went to a park where the Wayfarer app said the majority of wayspots would be VPS enabled, to find only a pitiful, minority or actually overclock eligible. So instead of earning points for the event, hacking the portals with overclock. I found myself scanning.</p><p>As for the actual hacking process.</p><p>When it comes to citing the glyphs, not all glyphs are built equal. Some are exactly how they appear in 2D, but just rotated - these include: ‘civilisation’ and ‘shapers’.</p><p>Others are not clear representations of their 2-D counterparts, these include - Potential, Pure, Capture and Chaos, for example.</p><p>It is also not clear what orientation and agent should be facing to see the glyph clearly. Many people in my groups have sent videos of them frantically circling around, trying to get some resemblance of a glyph. Even for experienced glyphers, this is not interesting, fun or engaging. </p><p>Some kind of indicator of what angle you should be facing the box for the cliff to correctly resemble needs to be added to overclocking. </p><p>The box does not seem to be stationary, in my experience, and from videos, other people have shared people are trying to circle the box to see the pattern from a different orientation, and the box is rotating with them. This does not help some glyphs that have a mirror image like ‘Create’ and ‘Destroy’ or ‘Simple’, ‘Gain’ and ‘Lose’.</p><p>I have also seen a bug where the glyph appears as very thin lines and is not clearly visible.</p><p>One thing Niantic has taken on board is the timing. It is much better and actually gives agents enough time to recite the pattern. I think this is finally at a happy medium. So one thing I will say thank you for is that</p><p><br /></p><p>This is my feedback from day one, I’m happy to have a global challenge back, but these are a combination of my thoughts and what others have shared in my communities.         <description><![CDATA[<p>My stats show:</p><p>Portal Scans Uploaded = 100</p><p>Unique Scout Controlled = 121</p><p>These numbers are reversed. How can you have more unique portals scanned than you have uploaded portal scans of? </p><p>It should show that I have uploaded 121 portal scans for 100 unique portals since for some larger portals I have uploaded multiple scans to cover the entire object. </p><p>I tried attaching the required screen shot but the dumb post ui says I can't post links.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>If a portal is completely inaccessible, shouldn’t it be removed, especially if no one has been able to access it after many years?  If that portal is located in a county that is closed to the public by state law, shouldn’t it be removed?  If it is against the law to access any part of that county, by boat, by tour, by fly-overs, by any means whatsoever, shouldn’t it be removed? The Kalaupapa Lighthouse is in Kalawao County, which is closed to the general public and commercial tours (per authority under HRS 326) in alignment with CDC and Hawaii State Department of Health guidance, and it has been for YEARS now. <a href="https://community.ingress.com/en/home/leaving?allowTrusted=1&amp;target=https%3A%2F%2Fintel.ingress.com%2Fintel%3Fpll%3D21.209539%2C-156.969691%26z%3D17" rel="nofollow noopener ugc">https://intel.ingress.com/intel?pll=21.209539,-156.969691&amp;z=17</a></p><p>The county is a CLOSED COUNTY per State Law. Enough is Enough. There needs to be a rule regarding this. “Trespassers will be arrested and fined”. The county is closed and the path to access it is also closed. You can not fly over it due to its proximity to the Restricted airfield, closed to the public and tours, and boats are not allowed anywhere near that county due to it still being a leper colony. WHICH IS CLOSED TO ALL OUTSIDERS, visitors, tours, the public, etc.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I've traveled far and wide and come to some Major flaws in the Database Niantic uses.  </p><p>Firstly, "US Post Office".  Really Which one... That one... the one with the picture of the carport on the side... no not that one, The other one.  Ok *link thrown*</p><p>Next link "US Post Office".  Again... This one don't have a picture.  I have 3 that will throw.  Grrrr... Wrong one. *drops FLIPCARD and rethrows"</p><p>You see where I'm Going with this.... </p><p>The Simple Solution is to take all the US Post Office portals and NIANTIC run them thru a Zip Code search, and add " - XXXXX" Where XXXXX is the Zip code that the search comes up with. </p><p>Another one with the Same issue:  "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints", and "Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses"  Do the Same search and (Outside if Utah) Most of those should show with New and Improved names to designate one from another.... </p><p><br /></p><p>Thank-you!</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Alright, with the newest update going for the removal of QC(which I don't really care that much as long as they make the kinetic system better) we've got yet another gameplay affecting item coming to the shop. On one hand, they're going to remove one way of infi farms but on the other a lot of folks who have enough money to spend can just buy a ton of all that stuff in anyway. Which is a lovely pay-to-win dillema. I get that there's a need for funds that they need for running servers etc., But there is a lot of stuff that the community has been asking for, for a looong while now, that could be added.</p><p>Instead of having a ton of gameplay items ready to buy in shops they could easily go for the cosmetics, with so many options, give people more customisation of things like UI and sound effects. And all of these things are client sided too, so none of it would add more stress on the server side of things. </p><p>From previous versions themes, sound effects to choosing different colors to specific UI aspects, XM colors, portals, fields, links, different map layout themes, so forth.         <description><![CDATA[<p>This is a suggestion that could make money for Ingress.  </p><p>When I travel, I pick up keys that have sentimental value but I will never use the key again.  They take up valuable inventory space in the key lockers (which are usually full).  Niantic could charge for a souvenir key locker that would allow you to save keys from trips that would never be used again. The difference between key lockers and the Souvenir locker is that you would be able to put the keys in the locker to keep and view but you can never take them out again, the only way to remove them is to delete them .  The keys would not count against your inventory so you could have as many as you want.  </p><p>Each Souvenir key locker could hold 100 or whatever (which Niantic could charge for).</p><p>I have so many keys that I just don't want to get rid of but will never use again and this would solve that problem.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>A Simple way to detect a spoofer account, a pattern that all spoofers have in common, all have private statistics.  Why?  Because the modified software does not register the cellphone's motion sensor, this means that it records the kilometers it moves, so it is easy to detect an account, just counting the approximate kilometers to obtain an lvl 8 account, in a future Update it would be great that  statistics stop being private, and will detect all high-level spoofers accounts with a few kilometers, or that that information you see internally, but here we are already tired of fighting with spoofers, it is literally a lack of respect and consideration  for your loyal players.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I'd like to request that revisions to Niantic's Terms of Service or Privacy Policy are published in advance of their effective date, with some form of user notification ahead of that date so that they've got the opportunity to review them -- this could be an email (in which case it may be preferable to make it opt-in), or just adding a skip button to the confirmation screen that becomes unavailable after a few days.</p><p>On more than one occasion, I've arrived at a non-local location ready to participate in an event, only to find the scanner requiring a policy change acceptance on the spot. I am to assume that, without any prior warning that a policy change is coming, they're published only shortly before bumping the scanner to require their acceptance.</p><p>I like to do a brief review of such changes before accepting them (a diff against the previous version can be quite enlightening -- pun not intended), particularly when sensitive data is involved, such as with Niantic's games that constantly capture the user's current location. Doing that from a mobile device, when you're itching to get started in-game after a long drive, is far from ideal.</p><p>A summary of the changes being made would also be welcome.         <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello everyone!</p><p>The main purpose of this is for those missions which don't exist anymore.</p><p>The most probable way to do it would be by requesting it to Niantic Support in order to avoid an abuse by agents.</p><p>I know a few agents who have their profiles "incomplete" because of missions / banners that aren't complete and the authors either don't play or have not paid more attention to it.</p><p>So it'd be great if Niantic could give us an option to do this and Agents indicating the mission(s) to be removed from their profiles.</p><p>Of course there might be a decrease on the mission badge since it's removed but not necessarily.</p><p>It's just an idea, but what do you agents think about this?</p><p><br /></p><p>Thanks for your attention.</p><p>Greetings!.</p>]]>

<p><strong>Another ideas:</strong></p><p><em>Badges ordering- </em>sticklers like me would like to have possibility of badges ordering (date or acquiring, by the type - anomalies badges , useless cosmetic badges , game action progress badges /linker, destroyer, engineer , etc/) , or even the manual order designed by the player</p><p>Definitely, this should be possible even for a missions badges with higher priority-  especilaly due the mosaics  </p><p>That reminds me, there is NO official portal for mosaics missions or any option, how to track set of the missions as a mosaic</p><p><em>Compact design of keys recycle manager</em>- similarly, as mentioned at the linking suggestion, have some more compact view  </p><p><em>item hack blacklist</em>- temporary blacklist for items which can be acquired by hack (or automated recycle) - this could apply for each resonators , each level of XMP bursters, or whatever </p><p><em>Popup window for faction change improvement / double confirmation / more secure way confirm</em></p><p>- once you reach level 4 or 5 , there is popup window for final faction choosing, this is quite dangerous, because popup usually appears in the most un-needed situation,  That happened to many players they changed faction by accident... so there should be some double confirmation, maybe even some kind of captcha / slider, but simply confirm button is simply NOT sufficient and leads to the unwanted incidents </p><p><em>Moving of bonus code field </em> - currently, probabl from obvious reasons, field for entering the passcode is at the bottom of the store page, simply this sucks , please consider moving on top or possibly to some other in-app location </p><p><br /></p><p>Thank you</p>]]>

Seems like players don’t want to commit to organizing this and the feedback was that it involves a lot of work to be a point of contact, and there is no support from Niantic to cover cost. </p><p>What I see so far for the short time that I played is that all events is about battle beckons and battle beckons sale packed as different events. Nothing different in terms of graphic in the game. Is there any event that looks different and not a repackage of the same idea over and over? The only thing that looks different is the badge. </p><p>Why does it have to be a sponsor event? What’s so special about it?</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Agents,</p><p>It’s time for UI Update 2! Our continued efforts to enhance Prime have been ongoing, and in 2.31.2, we focused on delivering a more advanced scanner and improved play experience for all. Agent feedback is invaluable, and plays a critical role in the decisions we make for the future of Prime. With UI Update 2, we continued to improve UI and UX interactions, and put in place key parity features. There are also some new additions agents should find effective in the field.</p><p>Starting on the map, we made adjustments to the hack output item animations and windows. Moving animations to the left side of the screen and windows above the action circle opens up important map real estate for continued play. Additionally, tapping a portal now opens the portal detail view directly, even if there are hack output windows open on the map.</p><p>A key parity feature that aids in on-the-move gameplay is long-press hacking on the map. Agents can now long-press a portal and swipe to hack with or without a key. No need to enter the portal detail view if you want to grab some gear on the go.</p><p>We have also added animations to better explain swipe actions one can make on the main menu button. A long-press on the main menu button expands to three primary buttons usually seen inside the main menu. This allows for quick swipe gestures without having to leave the map. Swipe up for the attack carousel, left for inventory, or right for comm.</p><p>Protip: The small dots on the main menu button indicate that long-press actions are available. On the portal detail view, agents can also long-press the swipe the Deploy, Hack, and Charge buttons.</p><p>Moving on to the inventory carousel, it appears as though Ingress items may have been affected by dark matter or some as-yet undiscovered ordered data. The base color of inventory items or “XM objects” has shifted to mirror the XM hue, and item level and rarity colors should now be more visible for most items. This should help agents more easily identify items at a glance.</p><p>Additionally, we have added multi-item recycling and agents can now swipe to different categories within item detail view. This allows players to add specific quantities of items from each item category to their recycle total, helping to speed up inventory management.</p><p>Accompanying the modifications above, glyph hacking has been refined to address readability issues, along with timing adjustments that really make this interaction snappy. The agent header has been updated to more accurately reflect progress on your current AP, which is now horizontally displayed at the top of your device. Mission UI has been polished for improved clarity, and list sorting has been fixed. The key icon within portal interaction now acts as a shortcut to key detail allowing faster key management.
