I really don't like the appearance of prime. so i Guess when redacted dies, so does my interrest in the game. I Will however give prime a chance - Mayby i can get used to it. But for now im not Looking forward to it.
The scanner is just a tool we use. The real game is about our community, our friends, our frenemies. We can make the tools work for us. Nothing could ever replace the real game.
I mainly use Prime now but there are still plenty of things missing in Prime - Agent Stats and Photos are the main two I frequently switch to Redacted for. Portal submissions in Redacted allow for poor-signal submissions which Prime is still incapable of.
Continue. A lot of issues with Prime have been or are actively being worked on. It hasn't been a perfect rollout and it's a shame the app launched in the initial state it was in but Prime is at a point where I seldomly open redacted. YMMV on device specific issues.
I don't know yet, but I'm willing to try. I'm emotionally atached to redacted and it's still difficult for me with prime, but I'll try for sure. Triangles are too important to just give up without a fight:)
My personal method of transitioning was to find a point where my principal Redacted activities were supported well by Prime - for me it was recharging & glyphing. Glyphing was a big problem in Prime for some months (inputting the glyphs was horrendously lagged but I actually missed the increase in display speed). I kept trying the recharging, so I was slowly exposed to the inventory changes over months (I'm still not very comfortable with it & occasionally accidentally hit recycle on entire Quantums!!). Once the glyphing was on par with redacted, I started using Prime much more and now favour it.
Sadly no. Phone doesn't work well with Prime. SO can't even load Prime in his. It is not really a priority nor affordable to buy new phones for both of us for now.
Guess we just make every moment counts while we can.
I play Prime since beta. It is still far from perfect but getting better. In many things it is better than redacted. At least in my opinion.
The scanner is a “medium”. The real game is interacting in real life. Interact with locations and people. This did not change by any means because of Prime.
It would not be very satisfying to abandon a game with this huge amount of memories, which were build with it, just because of a changed UI
playing [redacted] since closed beta and have no intention of moving to a completely different looking game. the small changes they made to the old scanner (resonator carousel, mods, new items, balancing) were just fine, but i can't stand the prime look&feel.
I probably won't stop completely playing Ingress, but until Niantic doesn't reaches full parity in features and performance, I'll be one of them who will always remember "the good old days".
These days...
...when the scanner and the portals turned up 2 minutes faster after an app reboot.
...when it was possible to submit portal edits and portal pictures
...when the review of a new portal picture didn't took 6 months or longer but just several days
...when the Scanner wasn't a memory hog as the Prime scanner and wasn't kicked out of RAM just because you checked an incoming email or Google Maps.
...when the UI was a lot snappier while playing train/bike/car-gress in a portal dense area.
I hope that they really have a lot of gameplay improvements in their product backlog, that are solely prevented because they have to support the legacy scanner. This could maybe make up for the points above. But if not, I think that I'll rather spend more time as a locals guide at Google Maps than being an Ingress Agent.
I hope Prime will get some green colours for Enl,and also will be more battery-traffic friendly. It's okay for me to use Prime sometimes to be ready when time "X" will be.And also i hope start-up time will be a bit faster,i have no chance to defend Portal if i use Prime even if it focuses location faster from buildings.
will try to adapt. but the real question is weather or not Niantic will distribute meaningful update and further gameplay system after the full rollout of Prime as they promised. Without that it's just a degenerated version of scanner redacted and I don't see any reason to throw more passion on it.
I am opting to stop if only prime is available and spending my time on other things. Prime does not provide what I as software developer expect from it.

Yes
Mostly moved to Prime why stop? More fun playing!
Redacted wasn't the greatest back on version 1.22
Imagine what the phones were like 7 yrs ago
It'll get better.
I'm getting more and more comfortable with Prime and it is less buggy. I'll continue unless it is something fairly drastic.
I continue. Now i only use Prime on my Samsung Galaxy S10+

enl forever. just because access changes, does not mean the fight for humanity is any less at hand.
Continue. I am interested in the future of Ingress. If Niantic gives us new Calvinball I want to be around to participate.

Definitely 👍
Absolutely.

I started after PrimeDay - can’t run redacted. And I know there are quite a few others like me.
So the question should have been for me: would you even start.
answer: I did and liked it. So I will keep playing.
Did i miss the greatest scanner ever? I can’t tell as I never tried.

I've been playing on Prime since I was given the option to do so.
I would clearly continue for several reasons:
Still playing.
The redacted we all love took years to mold.
I've been playing this game since 2013 and I can't imagine me not playing this game.
Play on.
Continue. It's the same game(goal wise), just rearranged differently and with a few bugs that are being dealt with over time....
I will move to Prime 100% only when I have to. It's going to take a while to retrain the muscle memory.

As I've uninstalled redacted I'm going to go continue
Edit: Note i've been playing since the the start of the original beta

I’m almost exclusively playing on Prime now. It works fine for my area and play style. And it should only get better from here.
In a telegram channel I was reading about a rework in the Prime UI, Ingress is part of my daily activity and so it will continue :D
