Like Pogo's freebies, reducing the distance required to hatch eggs, etc.. And wizard game made some changes too.
So... was hoping something similar ad for Ingress as well.

yeah seems we ingress players gets nothing time like this :(
I guess that kids these days just don't understand how forums work?
Why the need for the billionth version of the same topic?
They got freebies because last week event was cancelled.
The upcoming FS and Optima Global Challenge were cancelled as well....
It seems that NIA is simply not going to care much about us unless ingress becomes a profitable investment for them.
Unfortunately, Ingress's player base works directly against that.
Well, how do a cancelled upcoming event next month are affecting you right now?
Its terrible!
I cannot eat, I cannot sleep, I constantly feel myself anxious and depressed. No sense to live any longer!!!
=)))
Didn't see any similar thread on the first page.
p.s: callings people "kids" on forum just auto adds the tag on you as well.
Let's see daily passcodes with XM and cubes!
Want to get indirectly depressed? Take a wild guess what's happening to Pokemon revenue right now. Y'know, the stuff that pays Niantic's cloud bill.
The spoofers stopped playing?
Better/Worse. Niantic suspended them and apple give them back their money 🤣
Possibly I spoke out of ignorance for what's happening over in pogo, since I don't play it. Apparently Niantic rolled out pogo changes to make it more viable to play without leaving the house or clustering in one spot, and added some situationally-appropriate paid items which actually generate revenue. Doesn't mean they aren't taking a revenue hit, but it might be a sign that pogo's product managers are at least somewhat in touch with how their players relate to the game.
They also made it so eggs complete faster, which means that as long as you're trading gifts (which are far easier to get) you will be burning through incubators by walking around the house. Which means you have to buy more, and thus more revenue.
They'll take something of a hit, but don't think they haven't factored things like higher incubator sales into it.
