Any hits on how to get from 315 characters of letters that make up words to the 315 characters of 8 letters which make up the 5 symbols?
Have you solved A?
If you’re talking about B, and you have the right 315 letters (starts with kh) no cipher is needed. If you’ve done the Alchemy challenge, you did something similar then.
Is A just wiki or something more? Does B contain the last part of A?
I have the words that match the wiki from A
As someone who hasn't solved A yet (but has solved C), could you give any hints as to the phrase neeeded to decode A? I got a 5-letter name from C, but using that as the phrase doesn't output anything of use.
EDIT: I brute-forced the beginning of it, and then I realized what the phrase was. IDK if it's a good thing that I would never have thought to use that as the phrase (I'm used to discarding things that appear used up), but that's clever.
A by itself is not the wiki article. You already did something to it. And maybe there is more in that article that can help you further.
Are you saying that A is just to know that to decoy B we need something there?
Is the catalyst the same for both A and B?
no, it isn't
Figures. Any hints regarding finding the new catalyst? (I don't even know enough to try bruteforcing)
if you want to figure out how A works, you can use the A answer you assumed and the A cipher text provided to generate the full A key (but you’d have to code it yourself ... I couldn’t find a tool to do this so I made my own in Excel). Once you see that key, you’ll know exactly what you were expected to do.
To decode b(e), or not to decode b(e), that is the question.
The way won't change much, but the outcome will be phenomenal.
heheh love the nod to Shakespeare! (not relevant to the solve, just in case anybody gets confused!)
There is only one catalyst. The wiki explains how the catalyst works (pay attention to the part with X,Y,C)
Who else is raring to go but completely stumped at the very beginning by C? I have slept on it but another day and I'm still at the beginning. The key for A can't have . or / or - or chemical nomenclature like upper minus in it and I can't understand what I'm meant to do. I have read this is an enjoyable solve and I so want to get stuck in it but I haven't made the slightest scratch. I'm embarrassed. (I know where to go with A, since I have been reading trying to find out about C)
I know what C means, but I don't know how to decode A or B.
I found some metal elements in A (6?) and B(5?). Is it a right path?
Should I use any web tools to decode A or B?
The theming here was simply excellent! Even the part where you had to reverse the alphabet a few times (i.e., the other cipher) fits in nicely in hindsight, though it stopped me for way longer than it should have. :)
Finally solved it. Thanks for all the hints and nudges.
Simply apply the catalyst to start the chain reaction. It came from a reputable vendor, no need to poke around with it. :)
“The key for A can't have . or / or - or chemical nomenclature like upper minus”
Then maybe you’re overthinking what you need to do,
OK, I'm fairly certain I've done this right based on the comments above. The timing comment even makes sense to me. I've got:
But for whatever reason, I'm still getting invalid passcode when I try to input....what am I missing here?
try listening to the song 🎶
yes 5 chemical metals from 8 letters are correct. 😁
The 100 strings start with BH...?
Man. Wild stuff in this one. Cool deal. Don't be afraid to break what you think might be normal rules with that final keyword. Just put in what it sounds like it ought to be and that will do it.
I initially tried various combinations from the first song of the album that the puzzle seemed to point me to. Perhaps you're doing the same? The puzzle is referring to a particular song, instead.
I did the exact same thing... it turns out I had two digits back-to-front! simple transcription error lol
