So... I'm still stuck on dealing with the image (Ctrl - did nothing for me, I have a partial passcode but no knowledge of the field so don't know how to proceed) so if anyone would like to hit me up on telegram (@walch12) with some hints that would be amazing.
Happy to show my working out if needed.
Thanks in advance :)
edit: well it looks like I found a different ugly robot, but stumbled across another that was much more helpful
Can somebody help me? I've been seeing how to get something from step 3 for a long time but I don't get anything just a "ch" and the rest I can't understand
For me, this was the most frustrating challenge and the one I enjoyed least so far...
It started with some theme, but then during some steps it completely thrown that away, and used some completely unrelated random encryption and hiding methods (looking at you, metals and step 4), with completely no hint to them whatsoever ("hint" found using contrast/brightness at step 4 could mean a million things) - and those didn't even fit the theme of the puzzle at all.
Don't know how step 3 (the "encryption") and 4 (the method) could be solved logically, maybe I don't get the hints to them? Can't see how the last step relates to the title... Um...
For step 3 if you get the order of metals correct, the code will also be (somehow) in order. That's how you know how it could be split.
To delve deeper, you want to delve to 1 bit depth. There are many ways to do it and I gave up finding one, I just build my own instead.
About step 3, I am sure that I have the order correct and split them up the correct way, but I seem not to get any further anymore.
It was mentioned that we should convert the inputs 1-7 into something which can be understood by the cipher. But, I do not know what we are expected to do in here.
You have quoted something that is the right direction in your previous comment, although that doesn't seems to be related to coding at all (actually it does).
Someone mentioned a website that could help in decoding, may be you want to check what the website offer.
I believe I found the same tool you used, but for whatever reason it doesn't appear to work for me. Decoding returns rubbish and multiple attempts to decode the exact same image returned different rubbish, no idea why.
I ended up using a different tool and that did the trick, so to anyone who's stuck at this step: If one tool doesn't work, try looking for different online tools that do the same task.
yea. I have the seven metals being 6 solid and 1 liquid (maybe the separator). I have even organized it by the periodic table, I took the initial letters, numbered, ordered and until now I have not found any possibility according to the tips written here. voluntarily, even through trial and error, they are not taking me anywhere.

just because you didn't see a hint it doesn't mean it's not there.

:') I know everyone here is done with this challenge and I'm late to the party but I just cleared the second code and I'm feeling positive

I think I know encryption but I get nothing
I count 8 elements, not 7 elements?
Edit: was splitting an element by mistake. Now I have seven.
You are doing it right for the first two. Continue this method to get 13 characters including a word and two numbers.
If one doesn't make sense, try taking one step forward. I did this by trial-and-error so that's about the best I can advise.
I am stuck in step 4.
I read the message "Del ..." by changing the brightness and contrast of the png file.
I can't see the road ahead. I need help.
EDIT: I got the media
"Steganography"
I know, I only say that Niantic should put some guidelines to make the puzzles, as much as they do it, dont know 😅
But when my smartphone reboots 10 times trying to do something, i fell upset a little bit.
At least someone gave me a good url and 👍 😉
Greetings
I'm stuck here as well... I don't know what to do with all the arrangements I've got. Also I read that this code was 13 characters... why?
For me, this was the most frustrating challenge and the one I enjoyed least so far...

Still at step 3. Got things sorted out and, based on the hints, came to the same idea here. But, is it a rabbit hole or not?
How do you get to "c" and "h" with the help of the first two? Any hints without spoilers what I might be missing in here?
Don't know how step 3 (the "encryption") and 4 (the method) could be solved logically, maybe I don't get the hints to them? Can't see how the last step relates to the title... Um...

Thanks for the help. I think I found what I have been missing so far. This puzzle is quite a tricky one.
Edit: Got the media. In my opinion, this was the most difficult challenge so far.

I thoroughly enjoyed this puzzle. The cipher for the third step was
a bitreally obscure, but I can definitely add that to my knowledge arsenal now :DIf anybody would be able to teach me any sort of "manual" method for Step 4 via telegram, that would be greatly appreciated. Telegram name: teresakh.
I'm stuck on Step 4. I found an ugly robot but it just spits out the same image. What am I doing wrong?
@Pasmore scroll down further.
Some tips about this really obscure cipher method?
scroll down or zoom out on the desktop screen 😁
There's 7 different metals.
*Face palm* Thank you!

I have already tested several tools on the dcode.fr website *including all with the number 7*
You need to group them first before entering them there.
Yeah finally found it. Step 3 took me too long. After taking a break suddenly saw it.
I'm not getting, but thanks
one day I will probably be able to decipher it and possibly find myself a donkey. 😔
