i think that's a feature not a bug
On Private Stats:
Does not sound like Feature Parity is fulfilled here at all.
Hopefully Niantic fixes this soon as this feels like quite a big feature gap.
Alternatively there may be a new settings: "Make agent mission images private":
Off: Shows all mission images
On: Hide all mission images
It is also number 14 on the big list of bugs...
Glad other agents do find it a problem.
I can confirm this problem. Why 10?
People have complained for years that missions completed can't be hidden on the user profile. Ten is an odd choice but seems like a compromise.
I think it is a nice penalty for agents that want to hide their stats. Don't want to
I think its Just a bug. When jou visite a profile of a user without blocked status, or your own. First view the 'Now' section. Than load the mission. It wil also stop at ten mission badges. It will load all mission when you have viewed them allready.
So the 10 mission badges limit is a bug and it worked in Redacted so they should fix it.
This is an intentional change, that we got told about during the Beta.
The idea is that people use missions to work out where someone is "from". Hiding your stats while leaving all but the last missions visible doesn't really protect you.
The REAL bug is that they reveal 10 missions not 6 or 12.
I did thousands of missions - everywhere I went - before I realised my privacy had been compromised.
I like that most agent's achievements are now hidden and missions have been undermined. Maybe one day we can get our Highlighted Achievements hidden as well. 👏
give us hide AP also, i would like that.
Agreed. Show it in a multiple of 6, please.
I'm actually going to disagree here. If I saw 12 missions in an agent's profile, I may be misled into thinking that was the agent's entire mission history. In contrast, showing something that is not a multiple of 6 is a visual cue that I am not looking at the agent's entire mission history. I'd prefer a more explicit visual indicator that the list is incomplete - for example a jagged line symbolizing a torn page. But in the absence of that, I think showing 10 is a decent compromise.
Only if the Agent uses banners.
If you see that the Agent's stats are hidden, and you think their missions aren't, that's your mistake, not a mistake of appearance. Hidden Stats = Hidden missions.
I've always thought it was a loading bug. If it is meant to hide, show just the last 6, or none, and deactivate the <> option to scroll for more.
SpecOps medal? Silver is only 25 missions
Sure, we know that now. But when Prime was new, it was confusing since that's not how Redacted worked. Human brains are inherently lazy and we try to apply the least amount of effort to analyze a situation and fill in the gaps from our experience. It's only when we sense something off that our brains take the time to dig a little deeper. The 10 mission limit was a clue that something was off. You can argue that now that we are all on Prime you don't have that built-in expectation of all of the missions showing when you look at a profile, but I still think the fact that it's not a multiple of 6 is just jarring enough to make you question what you are looking at and realize it's not everything - even if you've never seen a profile on redacted.
Would I be upset if they started showing 6 or 12 or 18 missions instead of 10? No. But I think 10 serves a useful function.
Yes, this is also a tell, but at least for me, that would be a secondary thing I'd look at after noticing the incomplete line, rather than something that I'd immediate check upon seeing some small number of full rows of missions.
@vidicon
But when Prime was new, it was confusing since that's not how Redacted worked.
Prime is no longer new, and everyone either knows about this, or is new, and therefore didn't use Redacted. "What Redacted did" is not relevant here, because Redacted died a number of months ago, and everyone has had time to adjust. We don't need a "clue" that people's stats are hidden.
The stats not being visible is a far bigger clue.
What "big list of bugs"?
Are you referring to the spreadsheet from reddit ingressprimefeedback that Niantic hasn't updated in ages?
Or is there some other public big list we can look at?
#14 on the old spread sheet is my bug that they should use 6 or 12 missions.
I hope Niantic fix it soon. Works very bad in Prime. @NianticBrian
Yes they fixed it. I like the way the missions are loaded...
Yeah! Thanks for changing it back😊 Looks good, works great!
Not looks good now. I hope Niantic remove the X button to close or back for android. Make more hard to see medals with X button we dont need on android when we have back button. Medals on bottom not clean and good now. If we scroll down to bottom it jump up 1 step. I hope Niantic fix it to next update 2.41
But new medal page or what is called are Nice and welcome. But need lots of update to look good and clean.
@NianticBrian
Niantic doesn't write the software for Android alone...
