Maybe Niantic is just in holiday mode since they haven't been active in the Waypoint parts around here in general. Which is perfectly understandable.
I got a rejection today, still no approvals, but still get agreements. So stuff seems indeed on hold but working in the background.
Free speech bro.
Only people I'm bringing down are Niantic, and they deserve it.
I usually make 1 nomination per day, which ends up being approved at most within the next 4 days.
My last nomination approved was December 28. In my circle of friends there is also no news of those accepted. Although they do receive nominations rejected.
I currently have 9 "in voting" nominations, and 4 "in queue". They are stuck.
If the only number changing in a reviewer's profile is the reject count, when do they start rejecting everything for stat progress purposes?
Accept counts are changing in profiles I am pretty sure, it’s just not going live after being ‘accepted’.
Yep, nothing has gone through except for edits since 7:30am AEST December 30. Based in Melbourne, Australia
Still have two upgraded nominations stuck since May 2019. Have 30+ more in queue/in voting.
My last one was 4:52 am AWST December 30 (7:52am AEDT).
AEDT, Yes Lol Sorry for the mix up
7:38:36 for an exact time
@NianticBrian could the Intel update be related to the Wayfarer disfunction? Tons of valid submissions are stuck in the "in voting" process without receiving a response. Looking at the number of views in my photoshperes it seems that reviewers actually reviewed my submissions, so the hypothesis of a "christmas slowdown" is inconsistent.
Refused submissions are getting their rejection mail, instead. It seems that approved POIs are not making their way to the "online" status.
What is your region? Do you have an approbation email for a new portal appeared on 2020? No new portals in EU. Rejected and edits received. No answer mail received for portal reports.
I'm starting to doubt that the stuff I've seen wasn't already online because of the ones I've checked that haven't had activity, their last action date is the 28th. I just didn't see it online until later.
4 days? Man you're gonna get people hating you. I have had 1 finish without upgrade in my area. Been using every nomination the moment I get it since May.
@NianticBrian any comments? Where is an approved wayposts? What happened to wayfarer?
There has been nothing approved in the entirety of Oklahoma City since 12/27, and supposedly "upgraded" portals nominations have sat in voting for over two months which indicates Niantic is trying to redefine prioritization to mean something closer to disregard. Why can't support at least acknowledge that there is a problem? Why is Niantic such a stubborn organization top to bottom that they are so incapable of admitting any sort of fault or error until it can't be avoided?
You'd think after 7 Years of being a company, they'd have some sort of communication with their player base when something is clearly very wrong. Not even aknowledging it and having support bots just treat concerned agents condescendingly is so dang frustrating.
Silence from the clowns at Niantic as usual.
@NianticCasey Can you please look into this, some sort of official statement would do wonders with these types of situations. Most people wouldn't be upset if we knew what was actually going on and why all approvals suddenly ceased 6 days ago.
Someone elsewhere brought up the point that since so many portals are still being voted on and presumably making to the 'approved' stage but not porting to ingress (or other games), there could be a LOT of dupes when the wayspots finally do port since a lot of nominations are being approved without seeing a previous nom has already been approved since they aren't on the map.
without Krug there is no bridge between the community and back to niantic when issues like this are still present...
No. Portals submitted close together are reviewed sequentially, so there will be no duplicates
It was holiday season, people had better things to do than review on Wayfarer. Wait a week and things will get to normal.
Plenty of people are reviewing, The number of approvals hasn't just gone down a bit, it's gone from a normal number on 31/12/19 to absolutely ZERO from then onwards. This is obviously not just a seasonal fluctuation.
This would make so much sense. All of my submissions have been hanging in the voting stage for quite some time now. Slam-dunk things like a few baseball fields have been in voting since late November / early December.
Note that Niantic doesn't approve portals, reviewer player do that. Nominations are rejected, but no ones are accepted (for a sort of bug?). Niantic is working on Intel map. But, anyway, a minimum of official communication would be highly appreciated.
Hey, @RedSoloCup, look what you left behind! How's "retirement?" Glad you don't have to answer to this? Got any insight, now that you're a civilian?
People are reporting that they're getting eligible emails again. I've seen people on reddit and discord share approval/eligilbe emails form today.
Looks like it's finally fixed
