Network bug makes taking down portals to easy

Hi there,
in our City we have an RES Agent who takes down any portal real easy.
We built lvl7 portals with two very rare shields and wait together until he comes.
We can be five agents just waiting to recharge and we have no chance, as it just makes boom and nearly all resornators fall out without loosing energy, they just disappear.
And we all have a good internet connection with low latency pings.
People say he is using some sort of EDGE-hotspot and so can stack commands.
I have no idea how he is doing this, but is not fun if he just passes a street with about 10 lvl7 portals all with very good shielding and we togerther waiting to recharge and nearly all is gone afer he passed by tram.
Call it cheating or call it a bug in the game, but this is really a problem which kills fun of the game for many agents!
Using the anti-cheat-bot does not help... :-(

shields arent as good as they were few years ago, thats why it looks weird when a single agent can tear down shielded portals so easy.. its the same in my town, rare or vr doesnt matter a single agent can tear down those easy.... u underestimate the bursters power today.. thats why it looks so easy.
but if he just destroys portals lvl 7 shielded in a second or two, then there is something wrong tho....
blaim niantic for nerfing shields vs hardwork of many agents built time.. they should re-balance the ap when u destroy fields etc u get 40% or something ap vs building should reward more because u need keys, time and a playfield that allows u to build etc.. to destroy u only need bursters....
You do not unterstand...we are 5 agents at home and all got the same portal open ready to recharge...and boom, it's gone....there is not even one second time to recharge...
Somehow he is stacking the bursters so many of them come down at the same moment...
Now you understeand? @RedSoloCup stop this type of cheating. Report to proggers. Aegis shields is useless and other types of shields too.
Well exactly, just that our "super Agent" is using a portable wifi-router and is doing that all the time all day long.
He even is passing 10 portals( all vr-shields, turrets, forceamp ) with the tram and smashed all down within half a minute...
So NIA, please ban people doing that( should be possible to check that out in the logs), or just fix that bug.

Are you sure he isn’t removing the shields first? If he does that he should be able to **** the portal almost before you get the alert.
Yes, he just passes by in the city-tram.
Worst case was that we knew he was coming and had an ADA ready to flip a portal( with got Agis shield)...and you couldn't use the virus, because the portal was gone in less than a second...
I play this game now for a while and know that this is not normal.
For me it is clearly cheating, but Nia wont do anything about it.
So could be better solution to just get this bug fixed?
No need for alert....I have the portal open in the scanner and only see how nearly all resornators just disapear....
I was clicking recharge like crazy and had no chance, they went from 100% charged to dissapeared in no time...
Well if he’s stacking bursters, I don’t think that’s a bug. That’s always been in the game. I, for some reason, thought it no longer worked. How is he doing it if he’s on a moving tram though? If he’s moving he can’t stack them in one place.
I have no idea how he does it, could be that he is using a complete other trick.
And sure it's a bug, because stacking should not be possible or should it?
okay that doesnt sound normal, that cant be legit play then... even if he stands on a portal and shots US it should take some time before the shields pop off one by one, if all that happens in a few seconds then he is using tricks that shouldnt be allowed to take down portals easy.. if 5 people cant defend a portal against 1 guy there is something wrong in this game.
report him with logs timestamps how fast it takes for him to **** portals and send all that to niantic support and let them investigate if thats possible take down portals so fast he is doing..
I hope Niantic listen and make all shields strong again.

I already tried severlal times trough that Anti-Cheat-Bot and NIA all the time takes "appropiate actions" and nothing changes....
Nearly everyday we build those portals new with strong shielding, we all wait in morning while our coffee and bam, 1-2minutes and all down.
We have multiple screen-recordings that show that those resornators just dissapear without any chance to recharge even when hitting recharge again and again on full portal...BAM gone - NOT FUNNY!

try make one big field over the playarea, so the player has to travel a bit to take down so less ap maybe he will get bored then ?
I still recommend u make a support ticket with this - something has to be done, atleast they should check this player up and see if its legit play but it sounds like its not really... not sure what else i can say...

But then we'll have thousands of threads complaining about how they keep getting "Too many pending attacks".
There is a max burster stack. I get hit with it often in areas with network lag. Setting it as low as 4 would make trying to smash a complete waste of time in those areas. It would make the area almost durable.
I know there's a max Burster stack. As far as I can tell it's around 20. But your response is exactly why they dont' reduce it to 4 to prevent people from stacking bursters...
The problem isn’t client queueing, its the ridiculous lack of server queueing to pace the bursters out when calcing dmg, instead applying it all at once when received from the client.

Do you think Niantik has blocked the ability to make such application modes? If the portal is destroyed in a second, I saw this myself, then it is quite possible that this and similar modifications of the application still continue to work. @NianticBrian @NianticPooja @NianticAkshay @NianticBC @NianticCasey @RedSoloCup do something!
Too many players leave the game due to cheaters!!!
I've occasionally had "Too many pending attacks" after firing as few as two bursters. I believe it also counts other queued actions such as hacking, deploying and adding mods (but it's hard to imagine how that could have added up to as many as 20).
No. I would agree with him. It seems to be around 20. Could be less. Could be more. Seems like a good rough estimate. This happens to me all the time in a certain part of town.
Also, notifications on attacks are massively delayed, sometimes up to five minutes. By the time the game trudges through the loading screen and your alerts tab finally populates, it's too late. We've got a portal in my area that 5+ agents are ready to recharge if it's hit and we run into the same issue.
You can have 2 ping in gigabit WiFi and it won't fix the lag that their notification servers/backend are plagued with. Until they do something on their end, nothing about this issue will change.
That's indicative of other issues such as misapplied speedlock, not that there are actually too many bursters.
Players in the field should always have the advantage over remote recharges, if it were up to me remote recharges would have a 60 second delay. You want to own that portal, go recap it. 5 recharges waiting to stuff someone actually getting out to move... lol of course the guy that's there at the portal should **** it. Head to head defense is possible, either shielding and whatnot. Remote defense is not in the spirit of the game.
The old scanner had an upper limit/queue feature for max bursters possible to stack.
I have been suspecting myself the new doesn have a limit or higher limit - since my ammo is gone very fast nowadays... 😂

Thanks for surfacing this, I've flagged it internally to our product team who will take a look at this behavior to see what's going on. From what I can see, this doesn't look like explicit cheating but more of an exploit of an unintended feature.

If 5 agents built portal, they should be able to defent it agains one single attacker.
In real life I have problems **** a portal if just one is recharging.
If he want to ***** it, than at some time nobody is watching or with a group of more agents...

This guy is using this method now for very long time and if you ask me it is absolute unfair gameplay!
Not sure if you can call it cheating but he is using a design-problem of the game in order to get advertages over all other players.
