Hi everyone! I have a question that nobody has been able to answer with certainty. If I send a request to Change faction, I'll lost my vital AP? Or my current AP?
I say it because I Recurse in may and I'm just in l13 but i want to change now and it's scares me not to get the onyx medal of anniversary

If you do the old style Faction Change, and not Recursion, you will lose your AP, your Inventory, your Status as a former level 16 player (so no long distance recharge, no portal submission, and no OPR), and finally your lifetime AP.
You keep your medals, and your progress toward medals, and your agent name. You can even Faction Change into the same faction, which some people used to do before Recursion was a thing.
I do not recommend doing a Faction Change at this point. Work on getting your AP, and then do a Recursion, and select a new faction.

I want very badly to faction change again, but I'm planning on waiting for my 2nd recursion. If I'm still interested in this game after another 15 to 16 push....such a grind
they should just sell some item for let you change faction with a cd of a yeah like the pogo thing, there could be money from that
NO, you can change faction already for a price....and that price is Time get to 16 and recurse OR sacrifice all your gear AP etc and do it now.
why? it doesnt affect you that somebody wants to change his faction at all...at all...and the price that he would have to pay is 4165841568452148654120842514847 better for the company than time...and that is even better than the guy creating another account thus breaking the TOS

Not sure what that number represents? Anyway those are the 2 options, hopeful it always stays just those 2. Don't need a pay to change option OR a name change option
As long as you've recursed you still get the Onyx anniversary medal
Why faction change, out of curiosity?
actually.... why lose all AP and benefict for a CF,,,, better pay... (so people more happy, and niantic make money.) is still better than put anomaly or other event to pay. Events Free.... purchase boost or something not significative
Because changing factions has far-reaching consequences and should not be taken lightly.
It would effect the game dynamics. Trust is a very big thing in this game. If we could change faction at any time, we would never know which agents are truly on our side. As it stands now, when an agent recurses and switches factions, most chat groups require the player makes it to lvl8 before they are allowed into the secure chats, so as to see them display some commitment to their new faction. A lot of chat groups required this for the original way of faction changing as well. If we could flip back and forth for a monetary price, agents new to the faction wouldn’t be accepted into their new community. Too often they would be suspected as spies.
I heard they can reverse your recursion. You should ask in the support about it.
They make a big deal when recursing that it can't be reversed and even put you on a 4hr cool down so you can't accidentally pocket recursed. So not sure what case you could make for it to be undone
what about purchases like Agent avatars , Key Lockers ?
if you asking about recursion - you lose nothing.
It just resets AP counter of "current" and keeps everything else.
