Ingress 2.35.2 Release Notes

You should soon receive an update to version 2.35.2 of the Ingress Prime app, which includes the following changes:
- UI: Added updated safety messages to app loading, ex. “Remember to be alert at all times. Stay aware of your surroundings.”
- UI: Increased XM brightness on high-end devices.
- UI: Added portal names to long-press menu on map screen.
- UI: Added help text to indicate why a portal link cannot be created, ex. “Outbound portal link limit reached” and “Linking not possible while under field.”
- UX: Updated default vibration settings and added Vibration slider to Settings menu.
- UX: Moved glyph hack dialog above the hexagon pips.
- UX: Added Store category to inventory carousel, and added Nano Packs to attack and deploy carousels for agents Level 1-6.
- Bugfix: Speculative fix to address soft lock when returning from background.
- Bugfix: Quickly create links, even when skipping link animations.
- Bugfix: Nearby portal panels on the right-hand side of map screen are fully visible.
- Bugfix: Giant portal mods no longer appear on the linking screen.
- Bugfix: Attack percentages no longer appear on top of Comm.
- Bugfix: After viewing portal mods, agents can tap the background to dismiss and return to the map screen.
- Bugfix: Portals and map tiles reload after aborting missions quickly on Android.
- Bugfix: Tapping Android back button from mission details screen returns agents to the previous screen.
- Bugfix: Tapping Android back button from portal mods returns agents to portal details.
- Bugfix: Agents can interact with portals after viewing Field Trip cards during a mission.
- Bugfix: Fixed link to view agent profiles from portal details.
- Bugfix: After closing Power Cube carousel, players can access agent profile.
- Bugfix: Updated portal hack cooldown sounds.
Bugfix: Speculative fix to address soft lock when returning from background.
I take it that you really don't know what is causing the lock. But here goes for cross fingers.

Buying items isn't a thing that should ever belong in any game.
EDIT: Although on a positive note, the other bug fixes and such are very welcome. especially adding why links can't be made.
@TheFarix 2.35 fixes some specific causes of the soft lock, but not everything and we're still investigating.

@R10brionexz I want to find ways to make Ingress a sustainable game for the long-term. New Store items are one option, and we'll continue to iterate and experiment with others, like skins and subscriptions. If you want to give these features a try before giving feedback on them, that's also helpful. Thank you for sharing.
@NianticBrian 5 Weeks? the fixes are so welcome.
The other day, I was reminded of the Classic/Redaced bug which has been around since the very beginning, where Ada says "Link Possible" when it is clearly, impossible, due to being under a field, or the portal is at max outgoing links.
So looking forward to this, but wondering if the audio clip has been adjusted for this scenario?

Finger cross the "link already exists" bug in quick linking is gone. By the way I will definitely buy a 1.0 skin for Ingress Prime. Just bring the item model and icon back and make a new skin :)
When's s fix coming for the reso deployment?
Currently you cannot keep deploying R8s on neutral portals coz the carousel keeps going down to the next lowest reso instead of staying on the last level selected.
Please take a look at contrast issues
Slots selection bugs
UI of resonator slot buttons
And taking out chromatic aberration effect.
And reconsider adding this "tap on background to leave to the map" feature. Usually it's triggered by missing a button, not on purpose (especially when recharging); and there is X or back button for that.
Thanks for the linking bugfix, hopefully the amount of bad words I say during playing will go down a little. For me that's a single thing from the presumably long list up there that is useful. And it took a month. Gosh, I won't have enough bad words for all the time it will take for all the issues to be resolved, especially when it took a month for just one of them.
Yeah the tap on the background, is more of an issue than a feature, and has caused many issues where the screen in use is abruptly closed, due to button hit boxes being too small

Any fix coming for the myriad of other situations when Prime is painfully slow to refresh? Or a return of the "Force Sync" button that was rejected from the list of Parity requests for inexplicable reasons?
Also, speaking of map tiles... any word on when the map tiles will reach parity with Redacted? We've been missing railway tracks for over a year now, making orientation in Prime much slower and painful. @NianticBrian
Me too. It'll take half a year for Prime to be usable in daily playing and another half a year to be usable during anomalies with this pace.

I agree with @Grogyan that the hit boxes are slightly too small, even though I really like the outside of the hitboxes for returning to the map it can result in unwanted returns to the map.
Is it possible to remove some German expressions from the Game when the Phone is in German?
E.G. Force Amp are KRAFTVERSTÄRKER and there is not even in high end devices enough space to show the whole word (as soon as modded).
There are a few other things where only like maybe 50% of the text can be seen. Or Denglisch. We "manage" the inventory and we use keys.
Nothing really Important, but the Game is in different languages. 😉

It's great to see our comments on things like vibration being taken on board (and really nice for me personally to see a bug I reported getting a fix here). The turn round time from forum users asking for a vibration slider to it in going into the game is actually really impressive.

If this is fixed/worked on, why isn't it added to the patch notes? How did you determine this is not an issue on his device when he does get the upgrade? Because you no longer have issues, doesn't mean it's fixed for all devices and all OS'es.
What? Of course not, you can only place one R8 per portal
Have you played on the old scanner? Where you could keep deploying single R8s on different neutral portals without the reso carousel shifting to the next lowest reso. That. Very helpful in putting up R8s across a town or defending a portal or getting uniques.

That was not so much a 'bug' as a simplistic check. If all resonators were deployed, the Link button enabled, and the sound went off with that button being enabled. It never tested that you "could" make a link, just that it was possible to try.

No, it worked as it was intended. It was not intended to be a link check, but rather an audible signal that you could check if you can link. Feature, working as intended.

I'm really trying hard to understand this addition and what are you trying to accomplish with this. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about experimenting and I understand game needs to be sustainable but this UI change is plain stupid.
Im constantly getting errors about store out of sync and as soon as I move close to this addition in carousel UI, game slows down drasticly (fps loss) and becomes choppy.
Please before you go about ruining people's experience by screwing up UI with store atleast think about all other options that people proposed for years already....
I thought the store being added to the Inventory carousel was for agents Levels 1-6. That is how I understood the previous statements. Saw the store in my items carousel tonight and said, oh nice, and closed the app. An attack bundle, a builder bundle, and a pack of 25 frackers. sheesh.
