Lately, there has been a rash of "appeals" in Portal Appeals that are in fact first time reports, either because the person reporting the portal(s) found them on the Intel Map or through Wayfarer. Sometimes, these "appeals" get accepted or rejected, other times, they are declared invalid with no seeming consistency. Is it appropriate to make a first time report through Portal Appeals or must it be submitted through the scanner first? What about cases where the one trying to report the portal cannot get within range for the portal to show up on their scanner?
Good evening from the UK, we appreciate you rotating the times so we get a chance to ask this month! I have an Wayfarer question - should we be mindful to avoid approving nominations which may affect vulnerable people? For example a community centre for adults with learning difficulties, or a historic plaque on an elderly nursing/care home.
As there is officially a problem with seeing portals in the max zoom, to submit new Missions / Banners, do you have any update on when this could be solved ?
you stated once Prime would run on 2G networks once it is already running... In fact it doesn’t. It doesn’t start and it doesn’t run. Therefore my question is, has this issue been really addressed and can we expect a fix soon?
Can you please confirm whether you are looking into the problem with the mission authoring tool?
On the closest zoom level now no portals appear to be selected. Then, on the level further out from that, the clusters do not offer all the portals that are known to be in the immediate vicinity. This is making it impossible to properly plan out mission routes.
Hi Andrew, when will Niantic re-open the application form for mission days in 2020? I'm asking because in our city is a special festival in early 2020 and our community would like to apply for a themed MD in cooperation with the festival organizers.
With the launch of the Wayfarer website, will there also be a separate app for Wayfinders to use along with a comprehensive map of all accepted Wayspots?
Hi! I’ve been bitten by a dog during my holliday, could we make a medal for those who needs to go to hospital because of ingress? (I was walking 5 km with my foots to find the only portal near me, just to not lost the sojourner)
indeed it must be justificate by a medical certificat or anything that could probe that it is really appened.
When will the next anomaly dates released, booking needs to be done and arrangements with work.
As longer we wait as higher the flight and hotel bookings become.
Is doubling the number of available portal submissions in Prime being considered? We had been allowed to submit 28 total, on a 14 day rotation, between Redacted and Prime until Redacted was taken down. We're back to 14 now.
Any timeline to implement the 'navigate to' feature ?
Really mises it.
I'm curious about how your role has evolved over time. You've added VG and TR programs to your daily workload. As you noted somewhere recently, you travel 100+ days per year for Ingress.
So, what else is on your plate that we might not see?
What are the things you wish you could spend more of your time focused on (with regard to Ingress GCM)?
Is there anything you can share on Catan World Explorers?
Would it be possible when receiving a portal rejection email, to include a link to the criterias in the email? A lot of Pokemon Go players are probably unaware of those and might not do any reviewing on Wayfarer. It might help reduce portal nominations that don't meet the criterias in the future.
Has there been a change in the way OPR upgrades are moved up the priority queue? Many agents have noticed a increase in the processing time for upgrades compared to when upgrades first came out.
I have really missed Mission days this year in Europe, will they be making a return in 2020? And any news on more Anomaly dates, It’s only 3 months until the first leaked date anomaly would be, for those that need to budget how they are getting there we need as much notice as possible (and I’m sure the host cities need the time to plan it too)
I'll ask again, for a +1 on the amount of times it's been asked: Will we have another event similar to Schloss Kaltenberg/Camp Navarro next year?
And could I request a home portal such that I can **** my Tecthulhu (Raspberry Pi) from Schloss Kaltenberg to it and have LED strips in the color of the resonators/faction in my room?
When will Niantic release names of inactive accounts? So active players get the chance to get a name they like but is on a lvl 1 or 2 account for years.
And could I request a home portal such that I can **** my Tecthulhu (Raspberry Pi) from Schloss Kaltenberg to it and have LED strips colour in the color of the resonators/faction in my room?
Can you hint at, or outright announce, any upcoming Prime developments you are really excited about as we move into 2020?
Have you considered increasing the number of missions that can be created by a single agent from 150 to more?
I have many ideas for missions but I don't want to have to delete existing creations just to make room for new ones. Is it possible you might consider one or more of the following criteria for consideration in extending the mission limit for agents:
Recursion, paid for benefit, popularity of existing missions
I. OPR Guidelines:
1. For a populated country like India, if unrecognizable Faces are found in the submitted candidate can we accept such Submissions?
e.g: Large Famous Temples where there is always a large gathering.
2. For a populated country like India, if undistinguishable license plates are visible in the submitted candidate accidentally can we accept such Submissions?
e.g: many two wheeler often get parked outside parks or temples and it sometimes becomes impossible to take a photo of the sign board and the surrounding without having a few vehicles come into the field of view.
3. Many well known smart phone Companies have an automatic Water Marks on their photos. Few Submissions which have only the phone model of brand name as watermarks, where the submitter is non identifiable. Can we accept these? Do we have leniency in such rural Submissions?
For e.g: Watermarks like "Shot on OnePlus", "Shot on PoCo".
4. How are we defining a rural setup, how much portal density would we consider it to be rural, thus showing liniency in OPR in such areas.
e.g: Do 10 portals in a 5km radius count as rural?
5. Submissions made while in a vehicle, if the photo is clear and is a valid portal. Can we accept such Submissions? (This can help in rural submissions)
e.g: The Submission seems perfect but the car dashboard is slightly visible in the bottom right. As long as the Submission and the details are correct and the portal is valid, can we not accept these portals?
II. Game Related:
1. If a feature where unique portals can have a distinct glow be introduced in Prime. Would help and motivate people on Working towards their unique badge.
2. Any AP incentive for Reviewers or InGame currency for every set number of agreements?
All other InGame activity awards AP and the medal, can this one too?
I'll ask again, for a +1 on the amount of times it's been asked: Will we have another event similar to Schloss Kaltenberg or Camp Navarro next year?
And could I request a home portal such that I can connect my Tecthulhu (Raspberry Pi) from Schloss Kaltenberg to it and have LEDs colour in the color of the resonators and or faction in my room?
Do you intend to give a chance to agents who have failed the opr test twice?
Hello, Andrew! Tell me, is it possible to send video for the artwork FS media contest like this https://community.ingress.com/en/discussion/1980/ingress-first-saturday-artwork-competition? We at IngressUnite (t.me/IngressUnite) would love to do this, but we don't know if we can do it. Thank you in advance!
Are there any plans to minimize the impact on one faction being greatly outnumbered by the other at Anomalies?
There's a LOT of questions about OPR/Wayspots that come up in the AMAs every time they happen. Do you think it would be worth it to have a separate AMA for those questions and/or more of an ongoing feedback in the forum that is dedicated to that topic?
I know lots of people are highly engaged in that, but for the rest of us, it feels like clutter in this specific spot, especially since you're mainly relaying feedback from a different team.
(No offense @GearGlider! You've got good questions that deserve answers. I'm just suggesting that maybe Niantic should respond to those in the spot that's dedicated to that topic!)
I suppose this question has been asked at one point but it might be good time to ask again. :D
Concerning Very Rare Link Amps, they have become quite a rare item (probably the rarest one that has been available to the public). Especially after the quantum capsules rework.
Are there any plans on adding them back to "the portal network"?
