Feature Request: Highlight Mission Day Missions

I did the Sacramento Mission Day on the weekend, and I've done many mission days before and they all suffer from the same issues.
- Missions start with a 0% rating, so existing missions supersede the Mission Day missions because they have been completed and the Mission Day missions have not.
- We're starting to have many Mission Days in the same area. Sacramento was a perfect example of this, having had a 2019 Mission Day earlier in the year, so the new set of overlapping missions had to be labelled "Mission Day October 2019" in order to find the right missions. People still made mistakes.
- In a number of times, I had to scroll up to 4 pages to find a nearby Mission Day mission because I was at the opposite end, a few hundred meters away.
Feature Request
Promote the current Mission Day's missions. Add a scrollable, 3 mission visible, list at the top of the Missions interface, that appears when a player is within 100kms of a Mission Day during the event (from when the missions are added, until the close of Checkout Registration). This mini list should be sorted purely by distance, not popularity, and contain the 18 or 24 missions for the Mission Day.
This would provide an easy way for people to know which are the appropriate missions for the Mission Day and avoid struggles finding nearby missions because they're "unpopular" due to newness.

I think this would be an unnecessary addition.
The whole point of mission days is to explore a particular city. Having to explore to find the mission day missions in the first place adds to this.
Another option, without having to make changes to the scanner, would be for organisers to publish the starting portals for each mission. When you're near a starting portal, you can click this button to see missions which start there:
That way, you still have to explore to find the starting portals.
Several Cities have had more than one MD by now. Some MD Orgas publish The starting portals for their MD Missions via gmaps, some do not. And even if tzey all did, one portal can be the start of more than one historically/cultural relevant mission in a MD city. Or the same important place can be a mission at different Mission Days.
Even without past Mission Days, the sorting if MD missions has caused issues in the past, due to the mission rating system. A highlighter for MD missions would be helpful. Now that more and more cities are hosting MDs for a second time, sometimes in less than 12 months, even more so.
One possibility would be to sort current MD missions to the top of the mission list by default during the event. Another one would be Ornaments for MD mission start portals for the time of the event.
Yeah I have no problem with the POCs only accepting the right mission days, but at the same time it should be easy to know which they are.
Having to explore to find the mission day missions in the first place adds to this.
Actually, that's in reverse. The missions are meant to lead you to places to explore. If you can't find the missions in the first place... you're literally not going to the places they want you to explore.
I've found there's usually a list of MD missions is published somewhere. The names usually have something to do with the location of the mission in there, like these from MD Glasgow:
You can at least get to the right area if you know the names of the missions.
It would be great if they took popularity out of the equation altogether. Just list all the missions. Having to 'add more missions' numerous times to find a mission starting 10 yards away is annoying.

"Yeah I have no problem with the POCs only accepting the right mission days, but at the same time it should be easy to know which they are."
Either would be an acceptable solution; In the end, MD should be enjoyable. it's not enjoyable to have a hard time figuring out which missions to do, and it's not enjoyable to find out you've done the wrong missions and won't receive credit until you do more.
Yes. We had that list, and it gave us the name of the missions. That's the way we managed mostly to get it right. That should not be needed.
Yup, if they implemented my suggestion, doing the wrong missions unintentionally would be far harder.
An overall haul to the system would be nice. Be able to make groups for a list of missions for events and mosaics. It removes clutter and also allows single missions to show.
True support for banners would be nice, but I was thinking incremental change until they can put the time in later.
There is always a map published with the locations of all the missions (and often all the portals in those missions) so that people can plan their routes. Especially the day after an anomaly it's often more about getting missions done efficiently than about a leisurely exploration of the area, as many people have flights to catch or a long drive home.
In this particular case the email reminder that Niantic sent did not include either a link to the map or a link to the event page that had the map linked from it, which added to the confusion.
Given that anomalies and mission days tend to reuse the same cities repeatedly it would be nice to find a better way to direct people to the current MD missions.
