2nd agent worldwide to achieve platinum explorer badge.
Considering how late I joined Ingress (during the XM drought), I doubt I have any world firsts to speak of.
There are two record holders I am aware of, both a result of bugs. One has over a trillion recharged, but his stats are closed (@enemysoldier) The other did the famous field in a straight line, which resulted in a field that covered the world. (@hosette) I think other agents did the same thing, before they fixed the bug.
First to get Onyx Mission Day.
Wich are the record for the fastest drawn p8 glyph?
-20 seconds which gave a speed bonus of 214748%. Look it up.
3 prime freezes in two blocks. 😖
Most glorious beard and also this one time I hacked all the things.
First to achieve the onyx Illuminator badge.
Badge achieved 0,001s after created, the rest of agents achieved at 0,001000000001s 😂
🍻
I think I have the most missions done..... Just 43.000
I mean whithout bug.. fastest Drawn p8 glyph..
I was a decoder for Gothenburg yesterday, and didn't do anything (even recharging) that got me AP during the double-AP window. Therefore, I'm awarding myself the World Record For Least AP Earned In An Anomaly.
10M AP (APx1) - 18 hours
We had the WR for the number of links to a starburst portal in Antwerp, Belgium. 8.403 simultaneous links.:)

Damn, impressive
Very nice!
Near 2000 days of guardian.
I've finally found the hall of fame!
I managed to level up from L1 to L16 in less than 31 hours, during Ingress Birthday Double AP, on 16/17 November 2019.
@jim831001 I did not know about your previous record: you were just great! You did not spend all the SoftBank Ultra Links, Ada and Jarvis as I did instead. Moreover, I farmed, quantum-capsuled and stored all the necessary keys before I started to level up, while you farmed all the necessary keys during the 5 days period. My project was studied previously and took 5 months of preparation, while you were more spontaneous and creative.

My bug field has given me four world records I believe-- largest control field (1,629,317,627,904), most total MU (1,629,392,921,997), highest badge multiplier (407348), highest MU-days (461,965,033,472).
It may also contribute to a fifth : most lines on my profile where the stats wrap to a second line (four). That may be device-specific though.
What's the story behind the 1.6 trillion MU field?
As I understand it, it was three portals that were precisely in a straight line. The MU calculation choked on a zero-area field and came up with that number. They fixed the bug, so I don't think anyone's topping that record any time soon. 😄
Regarding @Amaterasu00's question about a P8 glyph, I've hit 85% on a P8. No idea if it's a record or not, but I'd be surprised if you can do a lot better (without the bug). That was on Redacted; on Prime I've only gotten to 83%, but I think I'm just not as fast now because there are more sequences.
I'm curious to know what the record is for highest number of fields in the "Now" tab.
@oscarc1 There was a bug in a math library that Ingress used. If you managed to hit just the right set of conditions, including three portals in a straight line and throwing the links in the right direction, Ingress would draw a very tiny sliver field but calculate the MU for the "outside" triangle. I unknowingly did this one morning and Ingress calculated the MU as though I'd covered the entire earth and it used the population density of Oakland California to do it. I wasn't the first to stumble across the bug, but I was (almost) the last.
Niantic "fixed" the bug by moving one of the portals a few feet. A couple of my friends searched the map and found another set of portals that would work. They each threw the field then immediately Jarvised it so that it wouldn't count for the global MU, then went to Niantic and said, "Hey guys, you need to fix this properly." I've chatted with the developer who patched the server that evening. The library was later fixed properly.
There are a few threads about it on Reddit. Searching for hosette ingress site:reddit.com will get you more info.
It's not a record if it's illegitimate. It's like taking credit for a field even though spoofers helped in clearing for it. It's invalid.
The Enlightened Agents of AF11-SIERRA13 built 42 portals and 43 fields capturing between 1.46M MUs and 1.87M MUs with a total of almost 66M MUs (and still up). Thanks to the operation, the global delta became over one billion MU and 2.16% of the global score. Agents managed to field twice as Resistance Agents took the fields down mid-cycle wanting to prevent the record 1 billion MU delta. ENL did a great job taking the record home. A victory for all the Enlightened Agents of the community united as one!

and I said it all.
On April 24, a new record was set for AF11-Sierra-13 and the whole of Italy. 10 ENL Agents made 101 fields on a single base link in the course of operation One Hundred and One Dalmatians, acquiring over 4.5M MUs.

I remember this story, it once become the most popular ingress news at that time, everyone is looking at straight portals and try to reproduce it 🤣
does someone know the record of xf linkstar?
Resistance Sweden hit the 8192 cap in 2015 I guess (?) - I think they were first.
Can't find a source... Google+ 🙈🙈🙈
Enlightened made 8163 in January 2017 (https://web.archive.org/web/20190321055034/https://plus.google.com/101279081652126587103/posts/CNJxr7khxEW)
Enl Belgium hit the 8192 cap in 2019 (https://www.reddit.com/r/Ingress/comments/bi38jn/comment/elxnrmc?)
8195 links (a few outgoing links or ghost links) - I guess this is the one you think had 8400+ links? @hydrotherion
Or did you have a second linkstar? A small one? Well, that's not how it works 😉
Or did Niantic change something?
It seems Czech Res hit the 8192 cap this night as well - servers had the same issues as some years ago 😅🤣 @NianticBrian
Before the Czech one yesterday, the record was 8403 by ENL in Belgium, April 2019. The one yesterday hit 8421 (but maybe more, Intel broke so that's the highest screenshot we got).
So far there does not appear to be a link cap, just how long you want to fight the servers.
