If you didn't want the medal, you shouldn't have been active during the two weeks of the event.

I am not a Sojourner fan, but I love to sleep under blue fields, so I try to keep my home location blue. And I need some stuff for the upcoming anomaly. In these conditions not playing for two weeks is absolutely inappropriate. 🤷
I also didn’t participate and the recent medal designs are horrible! It would seem that they have ran out of ideas for good medals and are just designing random stuff at this point 😑.
the one for myriad is also awful although the new one kind of looks like a tholian from Star Trek to be honest.
It's a good time for new features. Let people at least hide medals they don't like to have!

@ZhyShy I believe you can request NIAOPS to remove your medal. I have tried that before.

Defeating Avenir led to scanner redacted termination as it turned out. So I ever didn't want to participate either this terrible xfac shard challenge or scanner redacted have been terminated.

I don't want to see this shameful badge in my profile as well. I have done nothing for scoring these shards. And if I could I would prefer to prevent xf-scoring. It's a shame not for people but for players in competitive game.

We had a nice time chatting about where the shards could go hoping that some shard would show up nearby us. Wich never happened. Next time I would love a huge amount of shards then this. It was only for a few to really attend.

I have never defeated Avenir and have done nothing to get this medal into my profile. But I couldn't refuse playing Redacted the last 2 weeks of its existance, so unfortunately I have done my hack. Anyway, I kindly ask you to remove this medal from my profile, because I didn't participate in this event in any possible way. Also, nearly a half of my life I'm fighting with mental disorder (panic attacs + OCD) and still have a light form of epilepsia. This medal is dangerous for my health, due to a possible panic attack, because it is really weird and scary. Please remove.

As a part of #teamtrickster I too would like a different medal, as my friends and I were fighting on the side of Nemesis to bring at least some measure of competitiveness to an otherwise PvE event and show our opinion about the current state of the game. We didn't do anything to defeat Avenir and should not have this medal; it makes no sense for us to receive it.
Actually it possible. So far I have been safe from the badge but they sent me an email about it being pushed. It was difficult to not give redacted a proper farewell but the effort was made in order to avoid a badge like looks like autoeroticasphyxiation pride.
Additionally... Read the rules.
You knew that this was coming if you played. You have no right to complain after the fact

Did you guys miss the wording on the badge? Nowhere does it state "contributed to the defeat of Avenir". It merely states "Active during the September 2019 Avenir Shard Challenge". Wear the badge. You were active during it, were you not? Whether for or against it doesn't matter.
I've contacted with support about possibility to opt-out and got the same "no", but we know badges are manageable manually. We saw it a lot of times...
And yes, I'm one of the team, who played on Nemesis side too as hard as I could according to situation around. I think we don't deserve this medal at all.
