I understand you guys' frustration, but this thread to those who wants to share with the community of their plan post-redacted. I would love to know what you guys are planning to do, should you are planning as same as me and partner.
Cheers and much love from humid and hot country where FS at 10am is a killer...(LOL)
Personally, my playing has been on the decline since the end of redacted was announced, I'll likely just help with fields in the future, much less of the day to day stuff.
I'm adapting to Prime and after I upgraded to Android 10, I'm forced to use Prime only. It was nice before to have Redacted at a back up for when Prime freezes. I'll continue to play but there will be a noticeable drop off in this area.
I I haven't had a lockup yet. I am currently using a Samsung 10 (I've had many different phones over the last 7 years.
I used to play at least 60 minutes straight or more a few years ago. Now that I am L16, I play 20 - 45 minutes , depending on the day (and how bad traffic is downtown).
I encounter a lockup every couple of hours on my Galaxy S9+ when I'm out micro-fielding, so there is no encumbrance to my gaming routine. However, there is no consistency when the app locks up so I don't know what the trigger could be.
my gameplay has turned to casual but still constant because,...life, but it slowed down tremendously right after they announced about the scanner redacted. Uninstalled prime because I believe my time for being true Techthulhu and hibernate until it's time to rise again.
I would still love to help the whole Ingress community without the scanner, perhaps I can go and focus more on OPR apart from other things. Get more quality portals approved rather than easy home portals submissions. LOL :P
I don't know why some people hate Prime so much. If you give it the same dedicated time as Ingress V1+ it will grow on you. Also the bugs will be sorted out soon enough. Keep the faith.... listen to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqhqGnQcKJY
Quitting is hard when somethings been part of your life for years, routines are built around the game.
I've known many to quit over the years, and leave the social aspect, all the hangouts, slack groups, telegram channels and more, is part of the process.
There has always been methods for some people to still contact those agents, but not everyone.
I was a part of the community. Organizing FS and meeting with people at least twice a week. The reason I quit was 20% Prime and 80% how Niantic treats the community. But still, I started in 2013 and Prime does not feel like the game I loved to play everyday.
i did answer this in lengthy manner, but it's currently stuck in "need to manually approve" bin in the forum. lets wait for NIA mods to settle their other issues. :)
But I'm not going out to fiddle with the nonsense of prime. I'm a player, not a beta tester. I just can't play ingress anymore. I can *work* my scanner, but it is work, not play.
Some of that may be muscle memory, but most of it is just plain bad design.
My plans are to constantly harping here, and on the game help about my issues, especially with the appearance of the game, and their compass.

That may be the case.
Still their decision though, which is my point.
Everyone stating the platform no longer exists, or worse, the major app stores no longer allow, is just lies.

You don't get lockups in game? What device are you using? Do you play for more than 30 of continuous actions at a time?

""Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Techthulhu ENL wgah'nagl fhtagn" 🤣
Thanks for the fun three years! Was thinking of hibernating until next year, but I'll sleep on it.
^_^
Y'all can't take a joke. 🤪

Dude Please delete this post
To those who quit just because of Prime: Were you really part of the community, or was it just the game?
To that, I gotta wonder.
Players who have left the game I tried wishing farewell, but to no response.
It makes me think that the only important aspect of the game was just the app itself.
Ingress brought me out of isolation, but it looks like it did the opposite for some.
I’m not sure what to think.

This is your prime - 1000 and 1 glitch.
