Seems the Redacted app is treating Android 10 as an unknown OS due to the app not having been updated recently, this in turn is probably triggering a false positive flag on Niantic's server end for a rooted or spoofed device triggering an automated suspension.
Thank you for sharing this information, looks I will be uninstalling Redacted sooner to be safe.
Not quite. Redacted uses a now unsupported method to read the device serial number. This is now a privileged permission in Android 10. As a result Redacted returns null which triggers the automatic banhammer. Nothing to do with rooting and not specifically spoofing.
The problem and warning though is unrelated to the fact the app runs "fine" on Android 10, it is the fact you are needlessly putting your account at risk of getting accidentally soft banned and putting additional stress on Niantic's support team for no reason when you ask for your account to be unlocked from using Redacted on Android 10 when you were explictly warned not to, especially when you consider the fact Redacted will be taken down for good in the coming weeks.
Same for me as well, though one can also postpone Android updates for a bit of time as well if they are dead set on still using Redacted till it is taken offline, the only reason I can think of why they would still now is for extra portal submissions.
Right, Samsung isn't exacly good with timely updates.
My Android devices are still stuck in 4.0, because we never got updates beyond that in my region. Which means no Ingress or PoGo on those. Even though the same devices got 8.0+ in other countries and are able to play both games just fine.
well yes but some things still are missing in prime, portal edits and overall stability.. but they promised updates before retire redacted im waiting for that.

Ah, that makes sense then. Thanks for the insight.
remember "unsupported" doesn't mean "not working". redacted runs just fine under android 10, it's smoother then ever before and prime ever will be.

Lucky for me Samsung is slow at rolling out new versions of Android OS. Probably won't get v10 until next spring, at the earliest.

I would like to recommend that all players start getting used to Prime, now, iOS or Android. Avoid technical mishaps like this.

At least they ironed out a lot of issues, and glyphing is a lot easier, now.
Hold your horses, you still have 24 days.
