We saw recently some fields take down requests pop up on Pokemon communities. Do you think it's OK to have some confusion like that between 2 different games with a huge gap in term of people acceptance regarding what defines as cheating (i.e.: fly/spoof , multiple accounts... are to some extent accepted within PoGo communities). I don't. Some Pokemon players become true Ingress players. But many of them are spoofing to level up in Ingress and submit new portals / pokestops. Why only a handful of countries can submit pokestops direclty on the proper game ? You can't let them submit new Pokestop directly from PoGo ? Is there some technical restrictions ?
are Little Free Libraries located inside businesses or public facilities or museums legitimate candidates?
About OPR, Playgrounds and possible OPR abusal.
You were already asked about playgrounds in some other AMA and they are supposed to be rated 5 starts (as it says in OPR /guide). But it seems like:
1) Many agents still count playgrounds as a bad candidate and rate it 1 start or something else but low
2) It seems like some agents are grouping up to prevent other agents from creating playground portals (so that only they can have control over couch portals)
So the point is - if NIA can't handle the community, can't provide appeals for good candidates and can't fight back organised OPR misusal, shouldn't at least guidelines be changed? I'm not sure if you can get banned for resubmitting candidate that's being rejected but still it seems frustrating to get rejects over "5 starts recommended".
Any chance you could post older AMAs that have been lost with the retirement of Google+, please?
In previous AMAs there has been additional guidance that was not posted in the OPR Guide. Any chance these updates could also be added to the guide?
"By now you should know the way the process works."
...so...not many new subscribers,then?
In Redacted, missions are sorted based on distance from the agent, which makes it easier to find missions that are close by. However, in Prime, missions are random sorted. Will this be fixed?
Hi Andrew, would you by chance care to describe as acurately as possible how exactly the sojourner badge works (or under which conditions it stops counting forward) for the record.
I use to be the PoC of IFS in Paris and I should record players stats. Since we do it by hand, it is error prone and take a long time (medal are in random order, the agent name can be hard to spell, etc.)
Can Niantic work on an api that help us for this ?
We have agent-stats, but some players don't want to use and since Prime cannot share profile, it will be shortly unusable.
All standalone european Mission Day applications for the second half of 2019 have been declined. In the last AMA, this was confirmed. What happened? Can we expect standalone european Mission Days in the first half of 2020?
Is there a timeline for the shop and biocard store to reopen? In the meantime, could Niantic maybe host a site with an official template that agents could upload their image to, with the ability to download for printing? I know many agents make and use their own templates, but not everyone has the software or the know-how for this.
What is the policy and vote expected regarding "Insect hotel / Bug hotel / Insect house" in OPR? (assuming location is accessible in public area)
We have reached the critical threshold of questions I can parse. So I'm closing things.
