This is getting ridiculous
So yesterday we (RES) cleared a path and made a bunch of fields in our area (marked as the purple line in the att image). Great teamwork and a bit of MU for the team.
Late last night an ENL player took the anchor and later threw two blocking links (1 and 2 on image). This morning Machina decided that it wanted to helt block the reuse of the anchors and threw SIX blocking links.
This means that we are not only playing against ENL, but both of the factions and we need to use quite a bit of gas to throw the links again.
This is ridiculous, as Machina is favouring the defenders who don't create anything and it really take the fun out of...you know...ingressing :-)

Indeed, but Niantic apparently thinks that AP is the only important thing in the game now.
Nah, they are anti-triangle currently. AP is just a by-product of playing the game. Majority of agents gain AP by just capping grey portals as they pass by. That extra AP bonus when they removed the actual good Covid bonuses is what is helping the lazy to gain AP these days.
And I always said that resistance is useless! They can't even draw one triangle.

Machina is great. It's easy ap that regenerates every day. The fact that players are just now complaining about using fuel is crazy. The game is primarily played by car by the majority of players. Very few get out of the car. I've seen people play eight hours a day every single day so the fuel argument now is weak. People have been driving hundreds of miles every week for years just to play a game on their cell phone. The real reason is that it's more active than the current player base and they can't keep up with it. Ingress needs players

Machina is unstoppable spoofer, that plays 24/7, can derp longer than 500 meters under fields, and is unbannable.
What do most agents hate with a fury? Effing spoofers.
You can do a lot to slow down Machina just by making gradually bigger and bigger fields,
They don't seem to spawn much under blue or green fields

It has been announced that after the Anomaly at Kobe earlier today (possibly starting tomorrow) the growth of Machina will pause for one month. Now is the time if you want to clear out Machina portals!

Maybe they will change the intensity or in some areas the lack of machina. Spreading to unclaimed portals is one thing. But linking from inaccessible portals is another. It's been a flaw in the game since the beginning. Portals inaccessible to the public shouldn't exist. Or at least they should be limited in function. Just like in Pokemon, military areas don't spawn any pokemon. It's too bad they can't do the same thing for Ingress. That's one way to make the game more playable.
But what’s publicly accessible? Is a portal at the top of a mountain accessible to someone in a wheelchair? What about the ones inside Disneyland? Technically those are not publicly accessible, right? What about parks that close for the winter?
