In general, is anyone listening to us? Who needs us?
I see how people write to the forum about their problems related to the game. and I don't see any responses or positive gameplay changes. I have repeatedly written about problems with the machine and the algorithm for the appearance of red portals, and in response to silence. Many of us wrote about the problems of the overclock function, and still the same silence. Agents asked to tick the language selection of the game client, since it is impossible to play in regional languages due to the quality of the translation, and in response, silence again. Many of us offered to help Brian translate the scanner correctly into different languages, and there was silence here too.
Why does the company treat its customers like this?
How much longer do we have to wait for the shaper cube to be opened and a bunch of other problems to be solved for which there is not even an answer?

Perhaps our community manager would answer these concerns.
I'm curious when someone like yourself draws the line and says, ya know what, I'm going to dedicate my time, energy, and money to something that has a better return on that investment? It's clear there is little interest in communicating any other way than personal accounts and even then, little to no perceived value for them in that communication. They either realize the ship is sinking and there is no saving it, so ride the paycheck out until they get shifted over to PoGo. Or keep the ship afloat to continue using free labor while it's available to them (scans, wayfarer, etc). No amount of begging, pleading, being nice, being passive-aggressive or any other tactic has motivated @NianticBrian into doing anything besides the bare minimum, in regard to communication.
Hard to walk away from something you've put so much time and energy into, but it makes me think of that line some associate with Einstein... “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”
Community specialist but I know I'm wasting energy here
General section feels abandoned by niantic long ago sadly and nothing as of today seems have changed
But we don't have one of those. Used to be @RedSoloCup but he left us out in the cold with no one to hear our cries about broken stuff in the game. 😁 We thought @NianticThia would be "the one" but her role morphed into something else that no one seems sure what it is exactly.
Seeing how no one from Niantic really replies to almost any of the posts here (other than VK to close stuff), we can assume that what @NianticBrian says about folks reading stuff is true, but the lack of replies, the lack of fixing issues, the lack of any sort of communication means we are basically on our own. But I do hear that someone reads every single review for the game. But based on what is fixed in the game (HA-HA) those reviews are read but not acted on.
We get new features frequently, they are often buggy (ie Overclock's where the damn cube with the glyphs go & W-T-F is that damn glyph?) but prior features, are never really "finished", and old bugs, issues ect are often just seemingly ignored. Take a look at the bugs section and see what actually gets fixed and what issues have remained open for years. There's that pesky laggg issue that has been ongoing for how many years now? Either they know the fix and can't do it, or it's too expensive to fix, or they have no effing clue (god I hope not).
Maybe their team is just too small to give up one person from their normal job or jobs to check the forums and actually reply to forum posts.
Dang I really miss Joe now. 😥
The XMAs are listening.
The administration of the forum is silent, the administration of the gaming community is silent, the game producer is silent, maybe we need to do something so that they enter into a dialogue with us?
Who?
I believe the mythical cube has in fact been opened and ENL POCs received that information.
We can at least lay that one to rest.
I'll believe it when one of those ENL POCs says so...
All I hear now is other people (not the POCs) claiming the POCs have the info.
I'd rather wait for an official answer.
Suit yourself.
They read the forums regularly. Complaints and demands can be had any day by them, it's morally acceptable to ignore people using those sorts of aggressive means.
I had suggested under-field linking via forums and E-mail surveys with lots of debate and detail, with complete and thoughtful ideas on how it might affect the playscape. Plus I included thoughts on limiting it enough that it wouldn't be too overpowered. They ran with it and pushed it through... After maybe a year of me asking, suggesting, discussing, and debating with players here. I don't think I ever got a single actual response, but they're CLEARLY watching. I don't think anyone else had fully articulated the concern and impact over the years, except for maybe some exit data apparent when examining player retention.
Just because they don't give you positive affirmative response, doesn't mean they're not looking. I think it would be entertaining for forums to get a "read by" tag placed on messages as Niantic employees scroll through the forum and spend enough time sitting on a post. They already put a tag on the thread if there's a response.
Hail corporate
A lively community forum with feedback from the Ingress team would be a nice thing but, nope.
Your definition of lively is perhaps not common
I didn't make a false claim though.
How many karens have you seen get their way when they demand to see the manager?
Hey, there is no Niantic staff reading these forums, it's basically a place to vent and share frustration at the lack of any input. Don't expect any genuine reply because there is no one to answer.
Do the Ingress team listen to what the XMAs feed back though?
We'll let you know when we hear anything 😉
