5k hacks 39k glyph point => no rKC
I got one last week off a random tap hack. Doesn't help me any, I still have 50 off from when qcaps converted and I got several agents to swap me for them.
It is frustrating that Niantic just can't be bothered to actually respond on their own forums.
Lack of communication. Same root issue years later.
but why not say atleast that they nerfed droprates on purpose to boost sales in teh shop because thats what it looks like🤔
The majority of my Kinetic capsules the last month has come from redeemed codes.
Would feel like a drought if not for those codes.
"We hear your concerns about lack of communication and strive to try harder". (Paraphrasing).
Instead it's just a player echo chamber and NianticVK closing threads.
but we have a community manager now SSSputnik or dont we 🤨
I wonder how many times that Niantic or Niantic employees have stated that they need to do a better job communicating? And how many times that they've stated that they are going to work on getting "better" at communicating.
We do not, Thia took on another role internally - (which was also not communicated well to the player base).
I received one of the kinetic capsules in about 3 weeks.
yuppers seems like new position changed internal
Thia never said she replaced the community manager position. In fact, Brian introduced her as a "Community Specialist"
It's amazing what people forget especially when this was mentioned before previously. The title "Community manager" that Krug had was never replaced.
I'd always assumed the drop rate would go down at some point, was very high to begin with.
Which programs do you run? I use each one to convert 33C4 into 15 hypercubes - saves standing out in the cold/rain loop-glyphing 4 portals to get XP.
Finally hacked my first kinetic capsule in three or four weeks. And that's with an average hack rate of a bit over 2k per week. Drop rate is way below virus or vr mods.
Indeed, even myself, found that I have only hacked maybe 1 Kinetic Capsule in the last few weeks, though my weekly hack count is lower than many others.
It has meant that I'm using up my backlog of KCs.
I do wonder if Agent Ops will come back shortly. From my perspective, and I could be totally wrong here, Kinetic Capsules would have been a reward for certain tasks.
It is however Easter Holidays, and I'm sure that @NianticBrian and Ingress devs are enjoying their short break from work. And spending time with their respective friends And families. 😊
It seems like kinetic capsules are hackable again albeit in very rare quantities. After not hacking a single one for more than a month with 1.5k+ hacks per week, I managed to get about 4-5 in the last few days.
They are hackable always just very low droprate now that they sell them in store
You’ll also remember the role was initially listed as community manager and then later changed to community specialist. I think that’s where a lot of the confusion continues to stem from.
Brian mentions it here and I do believe the job was first posted with one title and then edited later. I can’t recall if it was after Thia accepted the position or not.
Thia never signed on as a community manager. The specialist is a flex position where it's community management and also helping with account support. Also, Brian's post was never edited - that's how she was brought in. It might have been advertised as manager originally but I also remember it changing.
It could have been a decision from above Brian but we won't really know.
Key difference in roles, I believe, was that Andrew was under the Marketing team, and Thia is under the Operations team.
Regardless, the Ingress community hasn't had an active dedicated Niantic presence for a long time.
