a rare moment I agree with PG. Though, I don't think we'll see recruitment increase.

NIA needs to add features not take them away. Create small adjustmemts like any online multiplayer game but not totally remove key features. The player base is still dwindling down and I believe its due to how stagnant the games been. Glad they added the machina portals but the links kinda cause too much chaos. Recursion needs a better benefit then just scanner flare, give us another set of levels to accomplish... Stuff like that. Next they'll nerf the flip cards to being a 12 hour cool down.....

Another reason we don't play PoGo as often is that people sometimes take it seriously. Went to a PoGo gym in a baseball stadium, wherein we took the gym down; the player rushed back and attacked the gym we recently took for 30+ minutes. Don't find any meaning in taking gyms anymore because 50 Poke Coins is NOT worth it. Would rather sell stuff online or do something productive that will give me money, not give Niantic money :)

I don't know how recursion is perceived by other agents, but to me, it's like self-flagellation.

3 more weeks until they go bye bye.

Here I am wondering why it is taking that long to deprecate the QCs

  • Selfishness is one of the best motivators for apathy. And QCs have definitely been part of causing that apathy towards teamwork, which is why so many people are crying out in protest. Suddenly their ability to not care about others has been jeopardized.

  • Using the Daily Mail as evidence of anything is hilarious. The article also points out that Americans ignore the speed limit and don't understand coffee. 🤣

Ironically, it should make farming gear much easier. As players return to organizing gear farming together, which should enable, even those very poor mobility, to get the gear they need.

I know it isn't any consolation.

Just that, Players have been stuck in a place of complacency for too many years, thinking that a way of doing something, is the only way.

Long ago, in my region, we had someone who joined our farming sessions, he had extremely poor mobility, ie he couldn't walk more than 20m, so we organized farming locations which he, and others could drive to, or take public transport. His health was very poor, and has since passed

  • And for the Quantum capsule, which we still called as red capsule, AFAIK some people like my friends also use it to duplicate Medias. You might say it is very boring and unnecessary feature, but you can't refuse that's somehow their fun too. WHATEVER, NIA never hear people sing, just like the government.

You are entitled to your opinion, while others have their own take and choices about how they play. The nice thing about playing solo is that it is free and does have to deal with any micromanagement because playing a game is supposed to be fun and devoid of drama. Btw, I wonder how Ingress players in Australia deal with xenophobia there?

Farming together? Sounds like a tyrannical and micromanagement style of telling its players how to play. A game-developing company dictating to its customers how to play. Can we kindly remind them who pays for their services here?

Oh man, can’t wait for the whole schedule to be unveiled!

…What’s that you say? The paltry two events a month, both on a weekend day is it?

  • Intresting, i only met people in ingress that "take it seriously". Who cares about capture a pkmn arena. There are plenty. Never had issues getting the 50 coins because, just use another one.

In Ingress there are people travling +50km if they see a imaginary line on a map they dont like. The hostility is here way worse. So you dont play ingress either?

  • Otrera35Otrera35 ✭✭✭✭

Just a casual player for Ingress until this game dies, of course. Besides, there are other interesting games that came out, especially the one made by HAL Laboratory.

  • I dont think removal of the qc will lead to farmmeetups, the vr battlebeacon has already made it so you dont need gathering. But even if we for some time had both quantums, kinetics and vrbb, our local team has had more meetup this year then ever before (as long as I have played)

And we have had agents traveling from other citys, to our meetups. These meetups has been battlebeacon events and one restockevent.

Maybe its only in our little town?

My own thought about gatherings are, that old agents misses the meetups, but arent prepared to houst one. The new generations of agents, have not attended any meetups of the old kind.

Maybe the elder agents needs to houst meetups, so the younger once can learn and also gain the network needed to houst their own?

Something should be pointed out, with the removal of q caps, double r7, double r8 and the increase between hack times, the game is very much against actually gaining high level items in a quick fashion. Given that the player base isn't so much dwindling as dropping dramatically, getti g rid of things to get high gear semi regularly and slowing the gane down is just going to turn more and more players away. Kinetic capsules are not the answer either, other than cubes to hypercube, they are a net loss item. It leads to the worrying idea rhat niantic want people spending money to play the game, rather than encouraging people to play.

I know quite a few will disagree with me, but that is how I see it and I think if people stepped back and looked, they would start to see the same

  • I think its good qc are going away, even tho I use them myself. Backpacks accounts will become useless finally. As for the key duplication program in kc - let it be implemented, but with one condition. You can duplicate keys in kc only if you are owner of the portal. You dont duplicate keys from houses other than your own, do you? 😀

I hope it's not bad habits such as ego and toxicity, that new agents (if there are ones) will learn from older agents. Older agents seem to be caught up with their ego and hierarchy in their "community" ending up with micromanagement and cult-like order among their ranks.

  • I was just thinking how players are going to just open more mule account To Accumulate the gear they once gain from QC. And store as much as possible for the rainy days or up coming events. All and all, i think it will just create more accounts. Getting rid of them wont be stopping a thing. People will always find a way.

  • VenomousToadVenomousToad ✭✭✭✭✭

If Niantic stops the ability of inactive accounts from being able to drop anything then mule/backpack accounts become worthless. Stopping quantums will slow the cheaters down but it won't stop them. Stop the ability to drop gear.

  • KhatreKhatre ✭✭✭✭✭

    What is inactive ?

maybe at least 1 link or field in week stat would do that. easy for retired agent who want to frop.

    and no more shadow mules

  • Maybe the limit on rkc could be applied to normal capsules also? So when picking up a capsule dropped 3 times it will vanish? Only once I know I have gotten the same capsule back, since I rename them before dropping. (Ofc the name musy dissapear after som time)

But since we always gain new capsules by normal hacking, I dont think anyone will be sad if the capsule broke after some uses. It will also lower the risk of picking up tainted capsules unknowing. Inactive muleaccs, I dont know but I asume they dont gain so many capsules by hack, but rather switches capsules with the owner?
