    anyhow as i am usually too full that sth replication could take place (yes guys we ve a zillion more portals but not a single slot more inventory space) could we pls get differently colored capsules?

    People already spoof to get keys, or are you saying people who previously didn't cheat, will now cheat?

    Overall good plan to phase out the Quantum Capsules.

    And is good to see that programs for producing more portal keys is coming.


    Though, I still expect that the common Kinetic Capsule be filled with producing common items, such as Resonators and Xmps up to your player level (currently mac is L8 gear)


    But I also expect that Rare Kinetic Capsules are solely to produce Rare items from Common items.


    And an introduce VR Kc's to facilitate production of Very Rare items

    Personally, I want keys from VR Kinetic Capsules.

    The rare KCs are just too common

  • Good move to fight "warehouses" and community sellers of items. Walking should be compensate with AP. Each km should be 1000 AP and with retroactive action. I hope are not a lot of players leaving the game but are hard each improvement from NIA.

  • So it looks like there was an exploit I was unaware of that allowed you to duplicate keys in quantum capsules. I've not seen how to do it, but it seems to me like the solution is to...not allow that. I agree, that's a terrible feature. It should be removed. Don't let people have infinite keys.

    Meantime, I like many on this thread rely on quantum capsules to build up basic resources like resonators and mods. I have kinetic capsules, but have apparently hit the limit on the number I have running. Getting 15 more kinetic capsules isn't going to **** much good at all.

    This is a bad plan. Please don't do it.

  • The same as other comments, I have no farms nearby and very little activity, so I use my QC to make XMP8's. I really really hope that new recipes are added to make these common items!!

    How many agents are going to swap qcaps with other agents in order to get a cr4pton of kcaps? I know I am going to bug a bunch of agents in the next week. I'm **** for 100+ kcaps. I'm sure someone will figure out how to obtain thousands of them. 🤣

  • The only thing that concerns me is how will rare kinetic capsules have and handle key duplication programs. Qcaps best feature in my opinion is key duplication, makes remote portals usable after x months of key duplication. If there's a new key duplication program on kinetic capsules it is destined to be abused.

    There better be a way to kinetic keys otherwise for the nasty to get to keys people will move in their cars or spoof. Not want Niantic wants.

    1) QC are allowing casual players to get gear without having to farm.

    Which I don't like. There used to be farms and now there aren't any in my area. If QC removal makes them return or at least makes agents more dependent on each other, I'm ok with that. Ingress is a team game.

    2) Increasing accessibility to gear promotes activity and reduces the need of black market of items

    And makes obsolete the layer of tactic where you decide what to spend limited resources on. Not fun if everyone has unlimited resources and you can't make a drought for the opponent and force them to move and find ways to get gear.

    3) Mods will be insanely hard to find. Bursters can tear down mods easily, imagine if you can't hack the shields you need to maintain your area

    Then you rebuild and get even more AP and stats for that, not just some Recharger.

    4) Spoofing will be increased to collect keys from key anchors. If you punished spoofed keys, I expect 20-30% of the player base to be banned.

    6) They haven't fixed cheating at all

    This is for Niantic to figure out. Agree spoofing would be a pain if not managed properly (and currently it is not).

    5) Very rare gear for anomalies will be insanely hard or demanding. 

    I told about this above, resources aren't supposed to be unlimited. Efficient use of limited resources is what would matter more and I only appreciate that.

  • Getting rid of infinite item and key generators I understand, but how are we going to be able to get more copies of each Media without Quantums? It might not be a big part of the game, but trading copies of rare Media is an old tradition like sharing agent cards. From FS media to pieces of a large puzzle, unless we get a way to get more than one media from hacks I see this as the end of Media collection.

    I use mine to replicate busters as l8 busters. But I can see the need to change (not remove) them if they are mostly being used for key replication, just remove the option to replicate keys, make keys vr level and that would end the issue.


    But as niantic never listen to its player base and go ahead dumb ideas. Let's at least make some good recipes for the kinetic capsule. Like, 25 l4-7 busters for 10 level 8 (was going to say 10 for 5, like cubes for hyper cubes, but thats already a bit broken)


    3 common for 1 rare mods.
