It's hard to read this story and gratifying to see the outpouring of support, I know ReplicantDrake and his travel stories, inside and outside of Ingress. Some cheating players already wish that their flying accounts had visited so many sites.
Obviously this is the tantrum of an old man who, hiding behind an illegal portal, believed that his link was safe.
The incomprehensible thing is that Niantic has banned without investigating a little more... Presumption of guilt? It should be the other way around, don't you think?
In this case it is clear that there is a serious problem. There are two options:
- Niantic has banned a player without evidence.
- Someone has falsified evidence.
I don't know which of the two options horrifies me more, but what is certain is that with Niantic's policy of not explaining anything about their own decisions, in situations like this there is no possible defense.
good afternoon, this attitude taken by the character who pressed the ban button seems unfair to me, what was it based on? Do you want more evidence that they were there? bullying? Where has there been harassment if they have not come across him either in person or in the comm, how does Niantic justify this? They should do things right and not **** up so much with a player as excellent and international as ReplicantDrake, a big hug Ximo
I do not understand how explanations are not requested from both sides of a conflict before taking measures such as a month of sanction. And that you have to resort to the forums because there is no other way to prove your innocence.
I'm sure that if Niantic asks for more evidences that the player was at the location, there'll be no problem in providing it.
@ReplicantDrake is a player who travels a lot around the world and enjoys playing ingress, creating BAFs and making it harder for enemies to work with, but that's no reason to throw him out for pulling a strategic portal (Portal that is located in a militaty base, which according to Spanish laws, should not exist)
There are no words to support our friend and partner @ReplicantDrake. A person very involved in the game, participative, a motivated and excited person with each new event. Dedicated and trustworthy he has been to many countries to help the faction.
With this unjustified ban, the limit has been reached of giving more value to false accusations from anonymity without assessing the presumption of innocence. I believe that these cases should be analyzed by the staff, study the case and not let players with the desire to destroy the player carry out actions of foul play.
We aren't just a name in a game, we are people who dedicate time and money for this experience that has made us know more of the world, more people... And a clear example is @ReplicantDrake and @SeveruShei.
I would like this fact to create precedents... That they restore the account of the falsely accused player by verifying the evidence offered, reprimand the player or players who have denounced it and eliminate the portals that are located in military installations. It's obvious that access isn't public and that its location is prohibited by Spanish Law due to disclosure of state secrets.
Yes it does. It's a trap widely used by some private groups of abu.sive players, though faction irrelevant, mostly consisting of ENL accounts. Players almost would not be banned for "hara.ssment on the field" if without police reports so some players are intentionally making fake documents to crack down accounts of famous players.
If there were actually no "hara.ssment on the field", the player who got banned as mentioned in this post, together with his/her friends, should focus on this suspicious ban and ask (via a lawsuit?) Niantic to investigate.
According to Niantic for harassment on the field!!!
Just a few hours of break a strategic enlightened link, and we didn't meet with any agent.
It's possible that OP did not disclose the full story and the ban is related to some actions before that. But I would suppose that, more likely, OP encountered an intentional "harassment on the field" attack with fake police reports created by players who previously controlled the portals or some links in that area.
If OP really did not meet any agent there and thus there technically does not exist any "harassment on the field", and believe that he/she never hara.ssed others, I would recommend OP contacting Niantic Legal department via lawsuit, to counterclaim the malicious ban attack and make the real abu.sive player banned for providing fake materials.
Our support to the agents @ReplicantDrake & @SeveruShei.
The agent @Iknition and I we're couple too.
We paid CORE like them and at the end of the year 2 players paid:
131'76€ = $140'47 = 2.738'88 MXN
#NowCOREoff
This is a premium cost without a service support because if you have any problem like this unfair ban, the only option is to talk with a crazy bot but not a human and you don't have the option to defend against this injustice.
When we start playing CORE we thought that Niantic change their support to agents, but finally is the same shameful support as always.
The most incomprehensible thing is why @ReplicantDrake, a legal agent, received a FAKE 30 days ban without possibility to defend to restore faster his account, here they share the documentation because the support don't work.
But if agents report bad attitudes in the game (fly and teleport, mockery, harassment, insult, sexist, homophobics, wintrading...) nothing succeeds.
@NianticOfficial @NianticThia @NianticBrian
An easy example is capture the same portal 4.000 times (more than 4.000 resonators) and destroy it in a few time, you report and nothing succed. @NianticThia you're surprised about this, but this accounts that make this wintrading several times continue alive and didn't received a punishment.
The sensation that @NianticOfficial give to the agents is: if you play legally and expend money to play for your faction, you may received an unfair ban and you haven't support to solve it BUT if you're a cheater all is ok and nothing succeed.
An important (I think) piece of information: despite the fact that it is a portal with restricted access, less than 4 hours after being neutralized by the two agents it was recovered (with BB included) and linked with defensive international links.
ReplicantDrake was in Bergen together with SeveruShei earlier this year. They played fair and square. I asked them for an upgrade at a pub portal when they were in the area, both responded and was nice talking to. These reports are probably false.
Niantic support does not have a team preference. However, there is a secret **** cheating alliance that is spreading information and technique about:
sending fake "I am the owner of this building and I would like Niantic to remove the portal" letters to Wayfarer to remove valid portals
sending fake "Player XXX has hara, ssed me on the field with vio.lence involved" police reports to Niantic Support to ban innocent players
Spoofing and multi-accounting. Mass reporting is generally used to make Niantic Support think that some innocent players have offended many players
Influencing the community forum and some other channels. Saying "Niantic Support is always right" all the time and keeping reporting posts to administrators to close any topic relevant to the discussion of ban and relevant topics even if not violating community guidelines
Unfortunately I am no longer surprised by any type of ban, and the reason is that Niantic has an unfair system and above all that protects the accuser.
It is very difficult to know the real accusation and where it came from, to be able to provide evidence to deny it if it is really false. Just as there should be a method of verification and defense of accusations. As well as punishment for lying accusers.
@ReplicantDrake is the type agent we all want to be. He is a Top Agent and he contributes to Ingress and his community, more than Ingress will contribute to him.
All of us who know him in person know his commitment to the game. He is the only agent I know that if there is a portal on top of Everest, he will go up to make it blue if necessary. And he will do it legally. Since he is a top player, it is very easy to accuse him, especially to many people whose soul weighs heavily and is unable to think of leaving home, neighborhood or city to capture a portal, make 1,000,000 AP, etc...
In summary, considering the evidence provided by @SeveruShei on behalf of @ReplicantDrake, the accusation is false and misplaced. Being a personal attack.
Thanks for the lively discussion on this thread. Based on the content of the discussion, I will be closing it for future comments. I appreciate your understanding.

I really hope those false mass reports wasnt the reason a legit innocent player was banned..... 😐️

Otherwise, something smells and "getting rid of a problem" player is going to become SOP.

Didnt know a policereport did anything in niantics eyes. But maybe I should attache that to in next report 🤔 (a real one)

Wathever Niantic is doing to erradicate cheating, it is clearly not working.
ReplicantDrake was in Bergen together with SeveruShei earlier this year. They played fair and square. I asked them for an upgrade at a pub portal when they were in the area, both responded and was nice talking to. These reports are probably false.
I have second hand knowledge that a police report WILL get attention from Niantic.
My Euro/dollar/yen is on a tech problem.
