Thus I don't understand why that fact/additional medal would be used to compare with current rule.
Back to that series of XMA, the rules were definitely not:
if RES wins, RES players will get an additional medal
if ENL wins, ENL players will get nothing
The rule actually, as we all know, is the winner takes all. That rule was fair. Thus I don't know what could be complained by ENL players for that. We are not living in the kindergartens where someone has to do something additional as comfort for the baby who receive the least reward to place last in a game. Our world is not encouraging competing under unfair rules so that a faction would get some comfort and reward because in previous matches they did't win and thus were not rewarded, bla bla.
If a contestant would get nothing no matter how he performed, for whatever reasons, then it's not a competition or match. I don't know what it is and what's the idea of participating in it if has been looking for a competition or match.
And if not has been looking for a competition or match but just a regular hike...If I were in Los Angeles I would avoid playing Ingress around Chinatown even though I'm a Chinese. It's too close to Skid Row.
It is an easy win for the Enlightened anyway, just the wording of the Anomaly is such that Niantic is pleading to players to let the Enlightened to win this series.
But not forgetting that players like myself who are attending a connected cell will NOT get the badge.
Unless they are interact with NIA Battle Beacons in Los Angeles in Phase 1
Interact with player Battle Beacons in Phase 2
Interact with NIA Battle Beacons in Yokohama in phase 3
You can get a badge by submitting scans for 10 portals to trigger BBs to deploy at the end of septicycle 44 on Nov 19, which is during phase 2, and then interacting with those.
ENL won more anomalies in that series overall. Putting the winner takes all on a single one where RES has the advantage of being able to bus John around and get a win Via the media seems pretty bs to me IMO. If you wanted to make only the last one count ya shoulda said that at the beginning of the series so ENL could have saved their reward for that final round; wouldn't have had to be rightfully been called out for Calvin Ball then.
RES got the additional Osiris Victory Badge not because RES won the last Anomaly. It's because RES won the total. And this has been clearly defined in the rule. What are you saying??
Why are you trying to alter the history to speak for ENL and make ENL look like more victims?
@TheKingEngine The Enlightened got the use of Carrie Carmpbell once during the series, and Resistance got the use of Hank Johnson once during the series. ENL could have chosen to save Carrie for the last anomaly but they didn't. Resistance chose to save Hank for the last anomaly and used him extremely impressively IMO.
As for @Nysyr's comment about making only the last one count that was based on the score going into the Chicago anomaly, not on a decision by Niantic. They are complaining about the strategic decisions that their faction made but are blaming Niantic for those decisions.
Thanks for your information. I'm really surprised that so many years passed and ENL players are still complaining about "unfair rules during Osiris Series". Where were they...
Will say as a Res player that loves lore, I realllllyyyyy would love to see a scenario where if the res win we don't lose lore aspects. Not all the res is against learning things about shapers
iirc, the Enlightened won Carrie's journal in the lead up to Abbadon. it held the power of revealing foreknowledge of certain shard target portals, and that advantage was used at Abbadon Chicago. It was the Darsna lens that probably turned the tide. Each team had one, and in the closing minutes of Abbadon Amsterdam, when the the probability of an ENL win was already zero, a decision was made to deploy the ENL Darsana lens. A decision that could only be made of out of pure ignorance (doubtful), or sabotage. If ENL had their lens for Chicago, who knows what would have happened, but it certainly would have helped the cause.

I like that option and you may add some addons like the tech needed for augmentation technology (based on EOS protocol)
It's still just insulting players who ha e already forked out a lot of money.
I have personally spent over $1,000 to attend a connected cell.
Only to have a few days later be told.
Ha ha, I scammed you!
At least I'll catch with local players and do Second Sunday with them.
Ok, you can complain to Niantic about that but not to ask for an easy win.
Again, what insulting? What easy win? OP is RES player and this post is a sarcasm.
Oh you thought that OP was an ENL player writing to ask for an easy win? Really? 🤣

@Nysyr ENL could have saved their reward for the last anomaly as well but they chose not to.
What? "make only the last one count"????

On the east coast the warcry became "No Sleep til Brooklyn."
A lot of ticked off ENL folks showed up for Brooklyn and Sacramento 2019,
Will say as a Res player that loves lore, I realllllyyyyy would love to see a scenario where if the res win we don't lose lore aspects. Not all the res is against learning things about shapers
Feel free to recount the wins between ENL and RES in the series.
Don't worry about ENL winning I'm sure we'll get punished again if we do instead of getting a badge and glyph sequence.
Anyone remember what ENL got for winning Obsidian?
How soon after we win in December do we get the lore revelation? What’s the usual time after on these?
A big unknown.
Nothing was revealed with LA.
Dang. Thanks 😊
It would either be immediately after the final score is counted.
Or the following week in some cryptic manner
shortly after 🤪⚡
Come on Niantic. Fork it over.
Ask the ENL POC as they have it
Ingress staff should be flying back home today, and back into the office tomorrow.
That aswell, it could also be possible we wont hear anything before next year.
Guess they didn’t say how long it would take to open the cube.
It’s “The Longing” all over again!

Well the Enlightened won.
Congrats to all Enlightened players on the victory.
Now just waiting for the story @NianticBrian please?
Up.
"If the Enlightened capture the Epiphany Dawn Anomaly Series, then together we will open K’s Power Cube and learn who or what the Shapers really are."
And RESTORE CAMP NAVARO!
