We are getting in to the final stretch of the year now when you tend to get “2022 in Review” kind of posts from businesses/games and such.
I assume the official folks here will do their own, but wanted to know from the community, what’s;
- One thing that you want Ingress to do more of? (Anomalies, new types of KCaps etc.)
- One thing you want to see banished and never done again? (Linking under fields, cosmetic badges etc.)

More ... Events ... Make 500 fields etc.
Less ... I have got nothing.
More widespread events.
Less remote play or non-play options.
More players. Less lag.
some things to rethink:
More events that can be done from my local area. I'm not in a position to travel for events and don't have a strong interest in them.
More communication. It's silly this team can't find 15 minutes a week to type out a few notes. I get they can't talk about new features and some other things. But I'm sure there is plenty to talk about. Something like, we've hired an artist for a new medal for an upcoming event. Get that hype train moving. Pump up the conversation. Get people talking about the game. If you're not talking, then we're talking about the lag, the bugs, the issues....
More fun. Why so serious?
Less lag, less features we don't care about.
I've commented about this so much that the coward vowel chat mods banned me (if not this then why??), but banish all manner of under-field linking.

Totally agree with the communication part. It feels like the Ingress team has ghosted the community of their own game for months now.
Ghosting is a good communication strategy. Said no one, ever...
I want see more hexathlons, maybe cell vs cell or something ? but current lag i can understand why its not an option at the moment.

I'd like to see Niantic promote Ingress and try to recruit more players. And I'd like to never see the lag again. It's miserable.

Want: Ingress report, representation at the Community Days, social media posts etc. Responses from Niantic on forum posts. Actions to reduce multi accounting.
Don't want: Linking under fields.
Oh and no more Twitter from Niantic now Elon owns it.

I no longer want to see "XM Ambassador" as a tag being appended to posts on the forum index page, after receiving replies from any user of that role. Some of XMAs are very helpful, honest and is really listening, while some of them are just making replies to show "listen, I'm a pro". Nevertheless, none of them can make decisions on behalf or faciliate the communication between players and Niantic. So who cares whether a XMA comes to the post or not? This design is not even comforting forum users but annoying them.

Yes, that's what freedom of speech is. I'm sure there will still be content moderation, albeit not as strict.
Two things I want to go away from Ingress prime are the lag and Weekly Sitrep Info.
Twitter is currently the 2nd most laissez faire moderation only behind Facebook. Being less strict is literally allowing hate-mongering and violent propaganda.
Unlike the Ingress forums where Peppa **** and George the Curious **** are banned and a comic **** is naughty.
One thing I'd like to see is a common sense review of the banned words list on the forum.
Americans have a weird idea of Freedom of Speech. Seems to be OK to say whatever, even untruths or things that are said to deliberately hurt others. I doubt this is what the founders of the constitution meant. (And US law has since imposed a lot of restrictions on what can and cannot be said).
