AHAHAHA Not likely. Pogo is cash machine goes brrrrt! I've encountered sooooo many people playing with multiple devices in Pogo it's insane. You better bet I didn't invite them to Ingress. Why would I invite someone who already cheats in Pogo to join Ingress where multi accounting has a huge impact on the game?
Then you got that pogo grandpa guy wherever it is with a bike rack that holds like 25+ devices (has Niantic even responded to the many news articles or forums posts about it?) It can't get more obvious than that. But, it's just the way pogo is. Niantic doesn't really care. Just like they really don't care about these forums. Otherwise they'd do something about them (multi accounters or these forums)
I agree. When a local Pokémon GO player with six accounts started playing Ingress I had to tell them that multi-accounting is not tolerated in Ingress, the same way it is on Pokémon GO.
Multi accounters are rampant in Ingress just like Pogo. It's why nobody farms anymore. If Niantic ever figured it out and turned off quantums it would be a different game. When one player can keep a thousand portals fully charged all the time and never needs to farm then you know something isn't quite right.
Some of the original players have multiple accounts because of log in issues when the game first came out because of the ptc log in option bot working half the time
also he is or was sponsored by asus but still its a valid question is ok play if u are sponsor? to me it feels wrong as TOS doesnt mention anyting about that
Way more than 25. It allegedly started with 11 phones in 2018 but was 45 in 2019, 64 in 2020 and 72 in 2021 (although the photo I've found with 72 actually has 8 of the phone holders empty which means still 64). He surely can't see where he's actually going on the bike...

how did you discover there are two mission days this weekend? where was that posted?
One in Italy is mentioned here https://community.ingress.com/en/discussion/19754/why-are-mission-days-getting-announced-so-short-before-the-event#latest
It was announced in a Telegram channel run by players, nothing to do with Niantic
there is a telegram channel for mission days?
Not that I know of. The channel I referred to just broadcasts Ingress related news from all over.
how can I subscribe?
https://t.me/IUENG
There's player led chats that are faction neutral, then there are faction ones with non opsec news, sitreps etc.
There's swag chats, even Ingress Lego chats, etc.
Is why i laughed when Campfire came out.
"Sooo you want 9 years worth of chat ecosystem to be abandoned coz you want us to use this now"..
Nah, they just wanted to give the Pokémon GO players a gym map & chat they can monitor.
Ingress gets the scraps after beta testing it.
Uh I would want less people using our intel map for activities outside of Ingress...
Thing is, they could have made an environment that's useful for us, but instead they made a wildly inferior Google Hangouts attempt.
Just looking. Thia was last active here on 12th, 11 days ago, and Brian a few days ago.
Maybe they have time off, after Munich, but it’s not great for engaging with the community
Fun Fact: I have two accounts on PoGO (my main at lvl39 and a second one that I barely use). Only that last one got the campfire feature...
You'd think they would at least login once a day to 'read everything'.
Maybe they're using ghost accounts, in any case, communication has been sub par for as long as Niantic has been around.
Two accounts, I think that’s frowned upon. Not that I think Niantic would take any action. Pokémon GO gets them too much money.
Depending on the Forums software, its easy to set yourself to anonymous or show that you aren't logged in. With this silly forums software? Who knows.
It sure would be nice if we could even change the forums from dark mode to something else.

I am sure you can guess what happened…

If niantic reacted to that bike grandpa, it would be a pr nightmare, as he is a very feel good story for the game
They did though... After one of the first pictures of his setup they retweeted the image and praised Pogo for getting older people out and about.
also he is or was sponsored by asus but still its a valid question is ok play if u are sponsor? to me it feels wrong as TOS doesnt mention anyting about that
Sorry, I meant reacted in stopping his accounts
Yep. Blind eye. Really encourages others to stick to rules.

And of course Niantic doesn't care that he has 72 accounts? Just image if he started playing Ingress?
Prominent streamers spoofed to active event locations and everyone including niantic knows. That was a complete joke.
😉
