The fact recharge rooms exists show how much people value the medal.

Sure it contributes but I guarantee you people are in the recharge room mostly for the medal.

Well, I'm glad I got a medal, but I participated in the recharge room to tactically support my faction from an organised location with 10-15 other agents. The targets we recharged were portals used to create longest link or starbursts, they were under attack constantly and we were recharging like crazy to keep them up.

Recharge rooms exist because of tactics and teamplay, they would still exist if the medal was not awarded.

Ha, no. Nobody would bother to transfer keys to far enough locations. So recharge rooms in some small radius where it's easy to transfer, maybe. Other countries, no.

The motive for attending the event should be to experience it. The medal is just a digital souvenir and should be mostly irrelevant to your decision on attending.

The real issue is that it looks like the onsite experience is likely to be lame.

  • if you are a collector it matters a lot, gameplay on the last events was lame at least, so the event experience was not really worth the money you spent on the ticket to get there (though it should be worth it), but of course visiting friends always is a motive. Participating to an event, from the moment that even the scanner doesn't work properly is not worth the money when you can get the badge easily and free from home...

You guys never thought to still go and then complain to Niantic directly in person? I think that's a unique experience of its own - especially if the servers go down

remember exo5? no badges for recharge rooms, but the rooms existed.

also have seen keys travel to locations in the middle of nowhere in other countries for recharging of anomalies.

the problem is Munich was suppose to be an anomaly. i do not consider the battle beacons as an anomaly. I consider them an event at the most and I have actually spent more time completing the event badges than the battle beacons. The solstice recharge is going to take me longer.

  • Niantic ****!

Flight and hotel already booked, GoRuck events exeptionally expensive.

And now everyone starting BBs will get the anomaly medal.

Having recharge rooms are bad enough.

Yeah no recharge room so I flew from Australia to Osaka for 48 hours to take part.

  • Given that during the series where recharge rooms weren't awarded medals, there wasn't a lessening of those recharge rooms, at least on the ENL side, I'd dispute that your claim is in any way based in reality. We do it for the team. 😉

Probably why Res lose :) Getting keys to Perth and actually having anything in recharge range for most of the players was tricky.

I think Brisbane anomalies only Level 15+ players could charge.

  • Yeah but Perth can be recharged from most of Indonesia at that level too.

  • SSSputnikSSSputnik ✭✭✭✭✭

True. But if it was in Perth I prob not be in a recharge room :)

  • I was more thinking when we got a ton of people recharging for Perthepolis because they couldn't afford to fly there. You'd be able to recharge for Jakarta.

Surprise, surprise the conversation doesn't even go with the Superposition anomaly. Keep checking your dislikes through altering the URL 👍

  • 1valdis1valdis ✭✭✭✭✭

I got used to such unreasonable disagrees from him under many of my posts. Haters gonna hate :)

  • Jo0LzJo0Lz ✭✭✭✭✭

The most useless addition to any discussion board. (Maybe farming the likes for privileges on this site is worse...)

I've reported issues, only to have people disagree with them; like how are you disagreeing with the fact that I've got problems with the game. The fact that you can see who liked/disagreed/insight your post is stupid as well.

You're not supposed to see it, Niantic disabled the "official" way to view it. However, due to how Vanilla Forums, the platform Niantic uses for the forums, is build, you can still find out who reacted with editing a URL. This is happening across all Vanilla Forums though, so for one, it's not on Niantic, but on Vanilla to fix it.

  • Niantic disabled the "official" way to view it.

    *badly.

  • Jo0LzJo0Lz ✭✭✭✭✭

Yeah but since they use vanilla, it's not really on them I guess. I mean we can blame them for a lot of things, and ultimately for choosing Vanilla :D haha.

You think Niantic will state anything this week? We can get a community pool going...

  • SSSputnikSSSputnik ✭✭✭✭✭

Betting on just over a week from Thias post. Players aren't maximumly unhappy yet about the delayed reply. We need the "Its been over a week now" posts to kick in.
