The Complete Lack Of Communication From Niantic
Is very disappointing. Radio silence since the announcements. Forums are basically devoid of activity from them unless it's in the bug report section.

I don’t disagree, but I think they’ve mentioned they intended the forums for communication between Ingress players, not for communication between Ingress and players.
So - zero communication outside of NIAOps ticket robots.
The fact Niantic staff have communicated in the past led to expectations of some sort of response to big issues.
Not even putting up a statement stating that there will be no feedback anymore after promising improved communication - I can't even grock this level of mismanagement.
Which is ****ed up in itself.
Well - the only forum area with "player to player" in the title is the General section.
But the other sections - are completely dead due to the same reason.
Even the Niantic Social areas dead dead dead.
This forum will now function as our official communication channel for all things Ingress. Connect with Niantic and your fellow Agents to share SITREPS, organize meetups, get support, and more.
There's more that we want to build and and much to improve with our new community and it's going to rely on your feedback.
You really never have anything good to say even when it's pointed out. Do you have any critical thinking skills beyond the basics - something that warrants a legit conversation?
Ironic here, as I often seeing you defending Niantic actions without any argument backing your point of view. Or you just click the disagree button with no comment. Or the old - "Niantic owe you nothing". You come across as totally blinkered.
The image I posted above is in response to Perringaiden's quote "Connect with Niantic and your fellow Agents to share SITREPS, organize meetups, get support, and more". Apologies if that was not as obvious as it could be.
I have and continue to post reasoning, arguments and criticism. For self evident reasons. I post factual replies to people asking questions who need help.
Maybe enough negative feedback will prompt Niantic to do something about this woeful situation. I actually have customer support as a large part of my real world job, where I have been working for almost 30 years so I think I have some experience. I have played Ingress for many years. I have managed many events, been on ground at many anomalies including team command roles.
The key issues here are:
1) Niantics haphazard comms - announce things in a consistent fashion in consistent places. If you announce something via Scanner/Ingress Web Site or forum, duplicate the message on all platforms if you have to, just make it consistent. This is really easy to do, no excuses. (Oh and the official forum has sub sections, try putting event info in the events section - Niantic are not even using existing tools correctly).
2) Silence - Do not let big issues run away from you - respond quickly to forum threads, even if it's just a placeholder with "I'm talking to the team now and will report back shortly" or - "After consultation, we have decided this is how things will be" (Don't be afraid to take a stand). Nothing generates ill will worse than a festering thread with no attention. People get angry or give up.
3) Broken promises - Many times we are told we will have an update shortly, PROVIDE IT, even if it's a "I don't have anything meaningful yet, I will provide a update tomorrow". Repeat that until you do have something, add snippits of what is happening, (this does not have to be substantive but at least people SEE you are making an effort). Too many times we see "I'll update you soon" and then never a follow up. It takes only a few minutes to do this!
(Like the Community Day issue. Have Niantic spoken to ground crew people? What can we expect next time etc!?
4) Ingress has Vanguards and XMAs - listen to them and ignore their advice at your peril.
If those 4 points are addressed, most things will solve themselves.
Yes I come across as really negative, I'm f;ing fed up with this mess and I care about it.
PS: If Niantic are NOT going to provide Niantic -> User feedback on the forums, clearly state this, or clearly define the rules of engagement.
I forgot speaking any sense of logic is considered defending Niantic. Looking for answers on this forum is not going to happen and you're screaming at the will of other disgruntled people.
You're not going to get instant answers especially if they planned out some time for this event. If they acknowledge it, you'll want some update. It's a lose-lose because even if they provided an estimate, you guys will hawk them down to the final second on that expected estimate. Once that estimate is not met, you will not be pleased and the cycle repeats.
[REDACTED] for trying to state anything neutral. If you want to patrol these forums every day for the mystery of Niantic's response, go for it. I'm going to tell you it's not going to be productive.
It's not logic the way they are operating.
"You're not going to get instant answers" - we're not getting any answers typically.
"you'll want some update" - yes that's called communicating.
How did you manage to write **** c k?
Relax friend, no one cares about people like you and me. Do not waste your nerves on empty talk.
Honestly, niantic is just atrocious for communication across the whole company, the only semi ok place is wayfarer (which will be their second biggest money maker, as it is free work to ge their poi map updated fhat they sell). Niantic as a company seriously needs to work on its communication. The help bots are useless at best and infuriating at worst (especially trying to navigate their stupid "what probpem do you have"). Anytime I've had issues with games, mobile or console, ice had relatively good interactions, such as getting money back within a couple of hours for clash Royal plus some in game currency as compensation, pokemo masters always giving compe station in fame currency for problems even wheb players don't notice it, even my worst interaction, being sending a switch back to get fixed going missing taking aboutb3 weeks to sort out, they eventually sent me a new swtich and controllers, and all the way through all of those, it's someone talking to you, but niantic does none of this, even when they do **** stuff up they won't comp, they won't acknowledge until its complained about by several people etc.
No idea how I bypassed it. Maybe using a capital letter is different from their filtered words?
I know how but not saying to stop others abusing it.
Open a ticket.
