Used at location will start a counter of x minutes/hours, visible at comm. When "hatched" another counter starts, at the end the portal dies. Start at player faction and if destroyed, dies. One of the resonator slot is used by the seed, to prevent lv8 and links.
Usage: farms in remote regions and help to prevent the loss of sojourner.
I'd like to see feature Storage Portal. You choose one portal, which will be able to store defined number of items. You will lock this portal with glyph of your choosing. To store/retreive the items you would have to be within the action range, unlock the "storage" by performing a glypg defined earlier. Each action would cost 1 hypercube worth of XMs. Storage capacity could be increased by 50 items per recursion. Base capacity 1000 items. Available to both free to play and core players. Could help to better utilize your inventory and might discourage some of the multi account players to have just one account. Change of the portal would be possible once per month for free or by switch key (premium item in the store).
Dunno what to call it but I wouldn't be against a very rare item that you can use to knock a mod of your choice off of your own teams controlled portal (maybe a rare ine that does random mod), I'd put the vr version at the same rarity as a flip card as its usefulness could be about the same
I want mines to appear in the game. Mines that can be placed anywhere, and which, when triggered, would partially empty the charge scale in the scanner. I would also like to have more advanced drone functionality. For example, protecting a certain portal or enhancing its counterattacking properties. Let the drone act as the 5th modifier slot. We need customization of the drones, otherwise they will remain useless for many players.
Have a nice day developers! I’ve come up with a new feature for portals that can help you store and use unnecessary keys. This mod would have a purple, very rare rating, and if we incorporate this feature into the portal, we can add keys that can be removed by someone else or replaced with additional keys. a mod can store a total of 50 keys. If players set up to 4 such modes, 4 * 50 or 200 seats would be the maximum. if the portal suffers critical damage and becomes neutral, or if the mode is knocked out, the keys in it are destroyed. When a portal containing such a mod is compiled by a player, all keys are written in the game's own name. Only green players can withdraw or deposit on the green portal and only blue players on the blue portal. opponents do not see what keys are in the mod.
Advantages: Unlike Capsula, the mod does not migrate but stays in one place. The mode can be used by multiple players at once, while the Capsula can only be held by one player. You can more easily parse the mode to see if it has a key that works for it. The mod at traffic nodes can be perfect where there are plenty of players to turn to if you want to get rid of unnecessary keys or look for keys in it.
What about something like XMP Shields? When knocked off a Portal, they’ll trigger an XMP burst of whatever colour the Portal was when destroyed. In case of a flip, it’s not activated. Would mean you may have to wait before deploying again. I like the idea of “mines” but not placed by Drone, and would have to be placed a certain distance from Portals, or you’ll get P8’s surrounded with mines from all directions.
unique items from the kinetics only would be fun, i want VR turrets and force amps.. come on the rare are way too easy today with overflow of lawsons for most.
VR L8 resonator doesn't count toward your L8 maximum on a portal. (Normally we can play 1 Common L8 Resonator, but some events let us play 2.) You can play any number of VR L8s, but they're as rare as viruses. If portal is flipped, VR L8s become Common.
If Niantic wants to go back to limiting L7s to one per portal, VR L7s would also be nice.
Rechargeable Hypercube
Throw anything in your RH - the item vaporizes (reducing your inventory) and its XM worth is added to the RH. As you use your RH, it drains its deposited XM until it's empty, but the RH does not go away. Limit 1 per agent.
Pop-up Portals
A pop-up portal lasts an hour - maximum 1 active per agent at any given time. Everyone on both factions can see it and act on it. For example, when you meet fellow agents at a restaurant with no portals, you could each play a pop-up.
Backyard Safe
A 100-item capsule you can drop once - then it never moves, and never vaporizes. Only you can see it. You can put things in and pull things out 24+ hours later. For example, when you're going away on vacation, put 100 home-location keys in it. Then you have room for keys when you get to your destination. Limit 2 per agent.
LTJ Virus (Link-Transmitted JARVIS Virus) / Hyper ADA Refractor: A version of the JARVIS Virus / ADA Refractor than can spread the change of faction through the affected portal's links. After a certain amount of guaranteed successful afflictions, the chance of it successfully afflicting a linked portal begins to rapidly decrease.
Anti-Virus / Fraction Stabilizer: A portal mod that severs links to portals afflicted with the LTJ Virus / Hyper ADA Refractor.
I think no suggestions should be made because Niantic hasn't really added anything since before Prime. Kinetic capsule just made it possible to transmute items. I think the last new items were the ITO+/-.
Comments
I just played an entire First Saturday with over 250,000 AP gain without a single crash or freeze. It was amazing.
Portal Seed

Rarity: no dropping rate, only buyable.

Badger Link Smasher because this weapon can neutralize/vaporize links created by agents of one's faction.
How about a boost beacon that displayed how much AP a portal is worth if you stripped it to neutral?
Or do it as a scanner boost where it is displayed in scanner?

drones should never change or upgrade portals.

As i said multiple times,Matryoshka Linkamp(maybe modification to linkamps),and Firewall against flipcards.
Link Slicer: Cuts one link within your action radius, no matter how far you are from the anchor portals.
