has AMA stopped? can it be brought back?
in General
the "Ask Me Anything" threads were, i think, the best part of the community coordinator's job.
it seems they stopped in November 2019? (or 2020, i can't tell)
i've been hoping that @NianticThia would pick this up again, but either it's not happening or i've missed it somehow.
this seems like a key component for engaging and retaining players.
are there any plans to bring this back?

The last info about when AMAs come back is this:
So... soon™?
where's the "sad" reaction? the forums need a "sad" reaction
The Disagree button literally has a sad face next to it.
i can be sad without disagreeing.
There really needs more options to convey reactions to posts. I hate how centralized the disagree reaction is versus the like and insightful.
I can still see a post as insightful while disagreeing to it because information from a different perspective was provided.
Other forums have love and laugh as reactions and I feel those would help reduce retention on some posts. I understand it's just a number that can't even be viewed when logged off but interpreting communication with text is only so much and sarcasm you might as well forget about typing to get that across. There's other different the ascept of different cultures at hand too.
TLDR the current post reactions are not sufficient for this community
I really miss AMA those were fun. It sure is missed after Krugs departure 2019 ☹️⚡
In my experience, AMA's were a big pain in the neck when it came to OPR (the predecessor of wayfarer). As a reviewer, you had to consider not only the portal criteria, but also all previous AMAs. Agents set up search engines, google sheets and support groups to make sense of it all, and to keep track of the latest rules and interpretation of the portal criteria. I am very relieved that this has stopped, and we now have a clear set of portal criteria.
That's more of an issue with the criteria not being properly updated. At one point the Wayfarer log had a criteria 'change log', but as with everything, that's been removed now.
No. Portal criteria change over time, often overriding past AMA responses.
The ONLY criteria in play should be whatever is in Wayfarer's currently published criteria at https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/criteria/eligibility
AMA posts should NEVER override what is in the official criteria.
The only people bringing up old AMAs were those trying to be gatekeepers and enforce and promote their own outdated ideas on what the criteria are.
