Portal scan turns off Niantic Lightship AR

in Report a Bug
I own a Samsung note 10+ 5g running android 11 and connected to 4g
Ingress version is 2.87.1-df998edf
My problem is, that when entering portal scanning, it turns Niantic Lightship AR off in the settings without a single notice or anything, and I can't scan with meshing on.
My phone is also equipped with a 3D camera aka ToF sensor, so it should be working. I see the IR flashing and I can confirm that the app is using it, but it doesn't really like meshing.
Is this intended or it's a bug?

Here's a link to the recording. It's bigger than 50MB so I had to use drive.

Heads up, your link to the recording is broken.
It depends where you bought your phone. Is the model from anywhere outside the USA and China? In that case, you GPU and your phone as a whole is not compatible with Mesh Scanning and Niantic Lightship AR, as the phone needs an Adreno 640/650/660 GPU.
What seems like a bug is that the setting shows up for phones that are not actually compatible. This might be the actual issue here.
Can't edit the link yet, sorry.
Yes, unfortunately my phone has the Mali GPU. Didn't know that. I have a second phone with 640, about to try it with that one.
And you're right. It shows me the option even though I have the wrong gpu.
