Yeah, but at the time of posting, I noticed an increase in response from the game.
I have a feeling that there was some kind of reset, since then everything returned to normal, unfortunately meaning issues with latency.
we’re going to have events in the very near future, which is going to be disappointing if this is not resolved. I have taken some time of from work to play, but I might revert this.
Action performed: entering Dronenet screen. The spinner after pressing Dronenet button from main menu, and the text "initializing dronenet connection".
Perceived amount of latency: 20 seconds
Network: 4G+ full bars. Actions performed just before this: fire a dozen bursters.
I really appreciate everyone giving information and details.
I spoke to the devs and at this point, I don't really need to have this thread open. We can see it and we're working to find the cause to solve it. (See update on 12 Nov, also updated on the main post.)
I've passed along to the team additional/extra insights that have been shared here (and in the other thread - thank you again for sharing it).
If you have other info you'd like to share, let me know by LIKING this post and I will send you a DM so you can copy/paste it to me there and I will pass it along. EDITED TO ADD: For clarity, I mean liking this comment, this one right here, right now that you're reading. (Not that one, this one.)

At least someone is still gathering information. How about an update on how useful this is?
So, what did you guys do @Niantic ? Deploying resonators is lightning fast. What gives?
no, still experience deploy lag etc... so annoying :/

Anniversary event, 2x AP and the lag makes play ingress a totally pain and a bad experience... ☹️
Unfortunately, I have to agree on this with you. When will we see any improvement @NianticBrian @NianticThia
Not even 24 hours in the event. Yet countless errors:
'Invalid Resonator'
'Portal key Missing'
'NoRetries'
'Scanner Communication Error'
And the plain old, nothing happens for 30-120 seconds.
Unacceptable. You knew it was coming, still dropped the ball.
FYI Niantic, all your games and the intel map are down.
I am experiencing the same issue.
GAME OVER
working now, this was not niantics fault, blame google cloud for the errors.
it’s not helping ;)
Problem is actually in the Niantic ARDK comm layer when it tried to parse a corrupted data packet.
@NianticThia
How do I know this?
Just reading the endless threads of angry players across pogo and Ingress, for years. Other games are less reliant on real-time communication.
Incidentally, Ingress classic, didn't have nearly as much lag.
@NianticThia what is the best way for us players to send in the debug log?
This thread isn't helping much to isolate the issue, where as the debug logs will help the devs find the route cause of the problems.

And if it means I need to install a debug build to help collect the relevant information, so be it!
