New feature: Storage crates
Okay, so Niantic has given us key lockers: max 6 per agent and they're great for harbouring keys without taking away your inventory space. But I personally think it'd be really cool to have some sort of location-locked "mega capsule" with a capicy big enough for 20 agents to store their inventory Items (with the exception of capsules, of course, and keys, because we already have key lockers).
This object would need to be "placed" in a real world location, with the owner able to provide "permissions" for agents who would have access to the items inside (self, faction,all) but be visible to all agents in the scanner, and can only be picked up by the owner of the Storage Crate provided that it is empty.
This would help agents better prepare for different types of gameplay (attack vs rebuild) as well as allow for more secure stock transfers between agents, when it's logistically impossible to meet up with other agents away from prying eyes.

I'd like a key locker I could drop at home - invisible to others of course - when I'm going out of town. Niantic could even make it be un-openable for a week. When yo go on vacation, you want room for keys there. Or if you're not going on vacation, but visit a park that you know you won't revisit in the next week.
Why don't you want to take the key locker with you when you travel? Or are you proposing an additional key locker on top of the 5/6 existing ones?
Ask a teammate to hold some stuff for you. Simple as that. Ingress is not a game of strangers and people playing alone.
@saarstahl Yes, a different locker.
If going on vacation for 10 days, you'll need space, to collect keys and field while on vacation. Which means, you have to delete a lot of keys where you live, to make room. It would be nice to be able to drop them at home, to pick up when you come back. So, the capsule would have to be invisible to other agents, and not disappear in 24 hours like other dropped items do.
Only kind of locker/storage i could see being useful is a storage locker you can purchase with an anomaly ticket, where you can put gear in and then for a short time after the anomaly, pull the gear back out.
I still really want an expandable souvenir key locker, which you can add keys to but not remove. I just broke 600 accepted Portals, so my lockers are entirely filled with souvenir keys from my accepted submissions. I'm proud of the keys I've collected, but they have no strategic value and take up a pretty sizeable portion of my inventory.
that's would be a terrible idea. Items are already easy to get and you want each player to have a huge items box at disposal ?
And that would be the perfect feature for item spoofers/sellers 🤣
