Mod Suggestion
Team,
This is WeirdOddWodder from the Resistance faction and I would like to propose a new mod for Ingress. At the present time, however, I am unable to come up with a good name for it. Its role, however, would be similar to that of the ITO EN transmuter. The only differences are that: 1) It would convert both resonators and XMP bursters to cubes. This would be useful to me since the main thing that I do in the game is recharging. 2) As with the instant cooldown timer reset benefit of heat sinks, it would apply to only the player who owns the mod unless the portal is owned by either __ADA__ or __JARVIS__, in which case, it would affect all players. What do you think of the mod proposal? Do you have suggestions of how it might be improved?

I'd prefer a mod to convert them all to mods. ITO EN× maybe. Chasing engineer is hard work with the mod drop rate, even with an ITO EN+
ITO EN÷ for cubes.
Some medals, including engineer, are supposed to be insanely hard.
It's a suggestion that has come up many times. The name I prefer most is ITO³
Get it? ITO Cubed and it gives cubes! It's also the third ITO mod! It's perfect lol
I think your Point 2 is redundant, just keep it working the same way as the other ITO's, ie. any portal with the mod will have its items transmuted to that ITO's specification (in this case, cubes).
Of the original badges, I've really only got engineer and connector to grind over. Everything else is close or already gained.
Make this guy Niantic CEO
ITO³ is both clever and logical, given both the behavior and Oscar’s astute observation of such a mod being the third ITO mod. 👍 It does sound like a “super genius” name. Wow, Oscar might be able to teach Wile E. Coyote a thing or 2. According to Wile E., he has an intelligence quotient of “207—‘super genius.’” Although some of his moves might be clever and his determination impressive, I question the “genius” part. Oscar might even know the best methods of Road Runner capture that don’t involve painful explosions. 🤣 Thank you all for your replies and thank you, Oscar, for causing me to have 1 of those “Oh, why did I not think of that‽” or “Wow, do I feel dumb!” moments. 🤣 Being a math nerd, it is, perhaps, surprising, that I did not think of that. But, that is what teamwork is about. That is video game development is done in teams. Each person brings different thoughts to the table and what someone did not think of, someone else probably did. 😉
