Ingress Sleep mode when phone upright.

I just downloaded the latest update and a soon as the game loads it goes to sleep, as if the phone is upside-down. Then when I put the phone upside-down the game comes to life.

    Does this still happen after you restart the Ingress app?

    I have the same issue with my galaxy note 20 and normally when I restart the game it resolves it.

    Is your battery saver mode enabled in the app settings? Can you toggle it a few times and check the behaviour?

    I also noticed this behavior on my Galaxy S21. Not always, but mostly reproducible when I move Ingress to the background. Never happened on my iPhone XS Max.

    Added: turning off battery saver seems to work.

    @M42 have you tried battery saving mode setting to be turned off?
