I’m on IOS and just got the dreaded black screen! I’ve checked my wifi connection, turned off/on my phone, waited for the app, and redownloaded the app.
Really unfortunate timing too. I’m on vacation but now I won’t be able to use ingress.
What version of Ingress do you have?
Same on 2.72.1 iOS
Same on 2.72 iOS 14.5.1 iPhone SE 2 Wi-Fi
Same on 2.72.1, Android 11, Pixel 4…
However, clearing the app's storage via Android's Settings app seems to have resolved the issue.
Not possible on iOS
