Problems with Sponsor Portal and Missions
We are experiencing a problem with some Portals of Softbank and Y mobile.
This problem is caused by two sponsor Portals being at the same point.
The symptoms are as follows.
(1) You try to access one of the Portals. Then, one of the portals does not appear in the selection screen. This makes it impossible to perform the required action (e.g. hack).

↑(Image B) Portals displayed in green/blue due to this phenomenon.
(2) By not being able to hack, I was unable to complete the mission.
Particularly serious is (2), and there are people around me who have given up clearing missions.

As you can see in the attached image, only two of the three portals are showing up.
Ahh, gotcha. So the problem seems to be with portals that are at the exact same coordinate not being shown for selection. I can't test that myself as I don't have such portals near me, sadly.

many "Y-Mobile" portals have become double portal (same latitude and same longitude) in Japan.
"Y-Mobile" is an affiliate store of Softbank, the sponsor of Ingress.
There is a problem where the mission cannot be completed because the portal cannot be selected on the scanner.
As @yogx2 has pointed out, the issue is that one sponsor shop is doubled and make 2 portals.
NIA should check and correct the list of Softbank-sponsored portals.

When I changed the "Faction", you can see that there are duplicate portals.
The problem is that I can only access one of the duplicate portals, and I can't select it myself.
I'm not sure whether this applies to all "Y mobile" portals, at least there are multiple instances of that happening.

There's a lot of other "New report" topics, can they be looked at too? The more it stockpiles, the harder it'll be in future to go through all of them - especially since many are still relevant.

4.We can’t hack Y-mobile Portal while mission playing and can’t complete that mission.
3 and 4 are very serious bugs.

My friend wants to choose a Y mobile portal (L7) to use for the mission. However, he repeatedly selects another Y mobile portal (L6) with the same name.
It took my friend 30 minutes to hack the portal for the mission.
There are many such dangerous Y mobile portals all over Japan.
Not the solution, but a workaround is to open the list of portals and choose the portal to hack from there.
Unfortunately, that's not possible.
If you tap on it, you'll jump to the list of portals. And even if you select the target portal from there, another portal with the same coordinates will be selected.

@NianticVK I did an Ingress mission with the Ymobile portal. This mission contains two duplicate Ymobile portals.
This mission has Ymobile's ENL Level 7 Portal and Neutral Portal in the course of the mission. Ymobile's ENL L7 portal is a new portal added last month, and the neutral portal is a portal that has been around for years.
In this case, we can hack only ENL L7 portal. Even if I select a portal from the mission screen, L7 ENL portal will be selected.
We CAN NOT hack the long-existing Ymobile portal.
Due to this bug, we are unable to clear ingress missions including many Ymobile portals.
This is a very serious bug. Please confirm this bug quickly!

It seems to be a problem with two sponsor portals being at the exact same location. Niantic will need to remove or move one of them.
@NianticBrian A mission event will be held next Sunday. This issue has not yet been resolved. Since the addition of the Ymobile portal in May, the problem of unsuccessful missions has continued because the existing Ymobile portal cannot be hacked.
Please remove the new Ymobile portal added in May of this year! It's a very very serious bug! Please fix it as soon as possible.
