You can still attack and capture and recharge scout controll portals under a field for AP. If you want to link and field then **** the field.
If I see one of my opponents microfielding the local college campus to get back to 16 for another recursion, I can field over him to slow him down and force him to engage one of my anchors if he wants to continue. That's part of the battlefield strategy of Ingress. This is a team vs team strategy game. Creating fields is part of the strategy
If someone decides to trepass then no killing the field is not an option. I prefer not to get arrested to play a game. And yes there are fields that have been created specifically to troll people out of the game even if they are on the same team.
The only person with any common sense in this thread is Grendelwulf. A bunch of you are just cry babies boohoo-ing that you can't make tiny 5MU fields due to the other factions better play and strategy. Instead you should gathering your team and formulating plans to stop it. If you think throwing green fields under a blue field makes any sense at all you are playing the wrong game. Or we should also remove the crossing link issue and just make the world a pile of crappy links everywhere. But having ENL from east coast reaching out to our UT ENL for positive comments about linking under our blue BAF is just the best compliment we could ever receive. However before this event started we took Echo-09 to zero ENL MU with lots of work and coordination. This event has thrown that hard work out the window leaving us with 100,000 ENL MU to now go back and **** again. What a joke and such a terrible idea. You **** all the competitive & scoring aspects of Ingress at the peril of the game.
My experience with Matryoshka is different. The old ways of multi-fielding are still the most efficient. Throwing a big field first and then filling it inside-out requires a lot of running around in the field and/or thorough planning ahead to farm the right number of keys. I find that multi-fielding gets more interesting because of the added flexibility. Before Matryoshka I mostly followed the established patterns, now there are more possibilities to build the same field, and of course you still need to make the links in the correct order to reach the maximal number of fields.
Maybe niantic wants casual players to be able to field once they finished tutorial but they cant because a big field covers the area? and they cant understand why its not working.
Don't you have bursters? Can't you go out and take down their work?
Oh right, you don't have teamwork and coordination, you just lob a large field with a couple keys and call it a day. Looks like the ENL in your area got to play the game for once, god forbid.
lol I don't think the maintainers of the Salt lake city fields have any ground to stand on to complain here. In fact they may be the poster children for why this may end up being how gameplay is in the future.

It should stay and permanent. You can challenge the other team with your bursters if the under fields.
There are same team fielders that don't care whether other people can play.

Clearly, complainers prefer the game as it is just to be able to prevent others from playing.
Challenge? Guess you only like it if you are not the one challenged ;)
Also, love how that other guy posted some cry baby stuff with a total lack of respect and made that their very first comment in the forum 🤣

UtahOSB: Calls everybody a crybaby.
Also UtahOSB: Proceeds to crybaby all over the forum.
That should probably be part of the tutorial then.

The type of play that shouldn't be encouraged and should be removed from the game. Thanks for showing us the worst of the worst! <3
