#MenOfIngress 2021 - where it is???
Why is there no such topic for them yet? Why don't we know anything about outstanding Ingress men? And why is a topic similar to that of women not pinned at the top? Do we have gender equality or Sexism? Nia congratulated the blacklivesmetter activists by introducing a special beacon, congratulated the LGBT community with rainbow exotic matter, even created a separate topic about women. And no one even thought to congratulate the men on the international men's day! This is disgusting towards both male developers and male agents!

Women of Ingress was a celebration of female members of the Ingress team during Women's History Month in the US. There were no negatives to this celebration.
I would welcome seeing more profiles of the Ingress team of any gender, as the ones we saw were very informative, but the posts were part of a nationwide celebration of outstanding women, not an intentional attempt to exclude anyone else.
And the men from the development team are not worthy of respect and attention? Why did some holiday make them unworthy of respect and separate mention?
You're working real hard to make a negative spin on a positive celebration. Just because someone is celebrated, doesn't make anyone else less.
Enjoyment is not a zero sum game.
Topic title probably could have been better because I get what op is trying to address. It's great that they're showcasing NIA staff and women of the community which were originally for Women's History Month. It would be awesome to have it expanded to knowing about everyone else at Niantic and the community.
What happened to the rest of the community shoutouts?
As I mentioned, I think it would be great to have more profiles of the Ingress team, regardless of gender. However, phrasing it as somehow an attack on men is just going to make people less inclined.
@GreenVam, don't be that negative. You can celebrate WomenOfIngress in March, and plan something for Movember. It would be nice if Niantic shared more profiles or celebrated Movember, but even if they don't do it yet - you can start it. Talk to your friends, make it IFS theme in your community, reach out to agents in other cities and countries. Not impossible.
Is this satire?
All for this, maybe next time do it for International Womens Day? Celebrated globally.
I’m sure they started it around International Women’s Day. I’m sure they can do a similar thing starting in November for International Men’s Day? I don’t see why it has to be now? Maybe they missed it last November but I’m sure they could start planning for this year.
I was wondering the same thing.... Much facepalming going on.
Classic male tears.
This just shows there is still a huge work to do for women.
Whether or not they intended it to be so, OP is basically a troll... I don't know many guys who give a hoot about having equal representation when it comes to spotlighting and celebrating gendered profiles. I would be embarrassed to be celebrated as a starting point because of my gender. Marginalized groups will certainly feel different I imagine or maybe I can't imagine because I'm not a part of those groups... But as a man I really can't be bothered if a marginalized group gets recognition. How could that even possibly threaten men enough to get whiny about this like the op? *Big shrug*
I wonder if it's worth getting so reactionary to one post as to claim that there is huge work to do for women. There are always goofballs out there and to use the outliers to justify the mean is careless. The pay Gap doesn't exist when you qualify hours worked and profession employed... Women are graduating college at far higher rates... More and more women are now primary bread earners in relationships... I would say that it's great and getting better all the time.
if we have equal rights with women, why not the same topic about men? do you personally consider men unworthy of attention and respect?
You're losing sight of the ball.
True respect is not measured in hollow puff pieces.
You're clamouring for a farce.
Better ask it again in November, so that this suggestion could be embraced with more strong reasons and could show the true reasons some people disagree with it.
I see some players with valid reasons to disagree because it's just at the beginning of 2021 while some players simply debating the issue. In general if someone asks you to debate an issue, rather than discuss an issue, they have no interest in the truth, the truth that whether it's constructive and resonable to do this kind of celebration or not.
Oh gosh, the "not all men" topic. Classical.
I feel like you'd be a good writer for Tucker Carlson show.
