Nine agents banned

At least seven agents from the same town and faction got banned this evening.
Without warning or email? Some of them not even playing much lately..
could someone please check this up?

Half of our team got annilated.
Have you alredy tried to file a ban appeal through Support?
Some of them have, and the permaban is still.
its very odd, that nine players from the same little city got permabans the same day..
Some misbehaviors may result in immediate account termination without prior warning.

There should be an email informing the player of the termination though.
As stated by @Perringaiden, they should have got an email. Are you sure they're banned? Can you see their in-game profile?
They have gotten their email now, and they are all permabanned..
then it means usually something very serious they have all done as certain things as stated in TOS leads to instant ban.
I cant speak for 6 of them, because they seldom play at all. But for three of them, they havent done anything wrong. They even use intel insted of iitc.
They havent blught gear, or spoofed, or been using weird software. The res in this town has already told us in com whats happend. They got banned for **** a sofa for two res agents.
This is the second banwave on our team for **** that sofa.
we could easily avoid **** that sofa, if they didnt throw links all over town from it. And it would also be nice if they didnt **** our sofas in return. 🤪
Sofa? You mean home portals?
Is it possible they got banned for sharing accounts, so that one person could build up those home portals using each other's accounts? That is quite commonly one of the reasons why a group of agents will get banned in a given location. Because sharing accounts is a bannable offense.
My husbond hasnt shared his acc with anyone, neither has the other agent. Even some of the persons who reported some of the other agents were suprised that my husbond and another got banned 🤔
could be comm harassment, irl threats etc... u dont get banned for taking downs someones portal if u play legit.
What did the email say?
my husbond never did any of that. Nor did any of the others. People could **** i com for years without getting banned. So its very odd.
@Perringaiden it said he had broken against tos and that the acc was terminated.

We have. But I think its remarkble that spoofers, multiaccers and those who fejkscans portals, move portals to wrong locations and **** people irl by cutting their tires, they could go on playing. While others cant..

I am sorry for saying it like this, it may or may not be a false ban. For that reason, forgive me that I cannot trust your vouching for others, as well as the players themselves speaking that they didn't do anything wrong.
There were incidents here in the forums that resulted in the lift of bans, take a look. If you and the players are sure that you've all been clean, file up appeals, and please keep the discussions up to date right here. It'll help if it really was a false ban.
I understand you, and I cant speak for all of them. But I hope I can speak for my husbond since I have been with him at least 90% of the time spent in game.
(and I dont suspect him of spoofing to our local grocerystore)
There seems to also be some error in the anticheat parameters niantic uses.
The only thing in common for the persons I can vote for, is that they have a familymember playing. My husbond and I are often playing together and he could put over tex a capsule of 100 itos to me, so he can go by night and farm for weapons to both of us. Than we switch the itos back to him and I will recieve wepons. (Because both of us cant leave home while the children is asleep)
I dont think that is cheating, as long as both of us are holding the phones when the switch is made, and that the acc used for farming is held by the real player of course.
Two of them got their accs back now! I hope for the rest to return soon, but I guess it will take a while. Quite heavy to review all things they’ve done 😅
Good news! Though these incidents really damage my enthusiasm and trust to the game, we can at least know that we can get our account back if there was a false ban.
Does your husband trade gear with the other players? Was under the impression that known purchased gear might disappear when it's discovered, but maybe there was some purchased gear distributed and the whole chain took the hit. Weak possibility, but maybe? something to consider. Especially if there's part of your team that's secretly being shady. To me it sounds like some automated trigger hit and flagged them. It's not exactly easy to get a single banned let alone 9.
I just wish they would be more upfront about the reason for a ban. It's a waste of everyone's time. You shouldn't be left questioning what you did wrong, and most of us expect, that if you get banned, your probably did something pretty bad. Glitches happen. But here we have X people trying to figure out what and why instead of being able to explain any real reasoning behind why it might actually be a mistake. Getting put in prison without knowing what you were charged for, what exactly are you trying to appeal? Sure, "Niantic knows all", but if that were the case, this thread wouldn't exist.
@3car I have full trust in niantic, they can make misstakes but I really hope they will correct them.
one more of our agents had their accs restored, so six left.
But I think something must have led up to this. Someone must have reported us, bigtime.
It could be, but not likely. Some of the agents hadnt played for long. We have made one exange, softbanks to itos with an wellknown agent. Also been given a lot of gifts from different agents to our ”farm”. But always from wellknown. We would never buy gear, the gear we want cant be bought in the store.
but we farm a lot, so my husbonds inventory could have been looking weird. Not awfully weird but he had a lot of modds.
I think a serie of actions has led up to this, caused by different persons.
its odd that nine agents got permabanned without warning. Nine highlevel agents, some recursed, and som lvl16 or 15... old accs, that also been active for years in pogo without incidents.

It appears to be a known issue.
In this case it appears to be something different. Because only local agents from one team were striked.
Usually you receive the strike email, but if it is a Falsification violation, most are direct (permanent ban) or strike (1, if you have already taken it, it is 2).
In that case, if it is a permanent ban, you will receive this e-mail saying that you have violated the terms ... and will no longer have access to the game if you want to appeal why you were unjustly bammed.
