Feature Request: Boosts shouldn't count against inventory
I know it's been talked about in several posts, I'm just bumping it again because now subscription gives us some boosts as rewards. My points:
- As premium items, they can be bought anytime in the store, having different prizes because of packs and sales.
- Making them not count against inventory would encourage buying bigger packs to save money, but also bigger incomes for NIA in general.
- If not counting all boosts against inventory is too much for game balance, at least the first X of Y boost wouldn't be counted, or only not counting beacons and fireworks. This second approach wouldn't fix accumulating BB's and Apex's rewarded with subscription, but it's better than current situation.
Personally, I would have bought the big BOGO Fracker pack and maybe the Apex one even not using them in my daily play if they didn't count against inventory.

There needs to be a cap to manage server storage, but I completely agree that it should be an independent set of slots like "You can have up to 200 boosts, but they don't count against Inventory".
What's the feasible upper limit on how many boosts an agent would choose to own at once, I wonder? I've hoarded nearly every free boost that's been offered in the last three years or so, including APEXes from a recursion, frackers, fireworks, and beacons, and I'm still hovering at around 100 total boosts. And since just about every boost can be purchased on-demand from the store, is there an incentive to keep that many on hand at once outside of limited sales? And, if someone did amass a few hundred boosts at once, would the revenue from the purchase outweigh the additional storage costs?
I'm not well-versed in typical spending on boosts, so I'm interested to hear the thoughts of other agents.
At one point I had around 200 boosts due to me hoarding fireworks and beacons. Before CORE, that was 10% of my inventory. I'm down to 40 now after I deployed a ton of them, but a small buffer of 50 or 100 before they count against inventory would still be very much appreciated.
I agree this new time, as all previous posts with this idea. 👍
200 slots would prevent me buying two BOGO packs, for example. I'm at 85 now having wasted many beacons and fireworks that I would have saved for IFS and other events. Raising it to 500 would make the deal.
Beacons and fireworks, i saved 2 of each... in 2019-2020 i kept them all for FS events but that's going to take a long time and I don't want them to take up way to much space, now i only hold on to apex' to save them for future 2x ap events.
I agree: as already told before, one might not buy a digital kit because of inventory management, which will cause a lose-lose scenario.

Caveat: Buying things like Resonators should not be "free inventory". Only the stuff under the Boosts category.
