Unable to update resonator on a portal

New bug found, resonators cannot be updated: the following error message is displayed: Fill the resonator slots before updating
I have restarted and cleared cache, when opening again an empty space actually came out, I completed it, but when wanting to update a resonator the following came out: Invalid Resonator

I'm not able to reproduce what you're seeing on Portals near me, but it's possible there's a Portal-specific issue. Can you share an Intel Map link to this Portal? Does this happen for all Portals, or only this specific one?
Apparently only in this portal, or perhaps it has been something of the moment, the other portals that I am visiting have not presented this "problem"

The top image is a failed request to the server of some sort. The client places the resonator, but doesn't fill in the center until the server returns a success. Sometimes that times out or fails, and the client doesn't clear the pre-deploy, so it just sits there. That's how you were able to "deploy" 8 R8s.
