Nothing like being frustrated with a game you’ve invested time, money and energy into, only to have to deal with a bot that is anything but helpful. Same with whoever reviews the missions. You get a vague answer and you get a vague answer!
No, you don't. I assisted that agent in creating a new report. So, sorry for you, but it went the support route and was actioned that way. The forum post only served to ultimately help the agent in creating a new report with only the relevant information.
Saw the comments, and highly appreciated. I do understand now that the forums doesn’t ban spoofers. I still see guilt in Lambert, it now gives a impression that a vanguard needs to step in to swiftly ban the spoofers, which shouldn’t be
Or it can also mean that I haven’t provided enough evidence to convince the spoofing. If this is the case, isn’t Niantic supposed to do their part?
Niantic can only do so much based on the information you provide.
I didn't step in to do anything other than assisting the other agent to create a new report. So there is no VG influence in that sense. I merely helped with the report creation.
For your reports, less is more. If you have a spoofer running rampant in your city, don't include each and every action in your report. Include only one (in case that action was on a portal that is not accessible), or two where the time traveled between the two actions is impossible.
Example, for the portal/timestamp prompt, only add one:
Then, follow up with a short description, example:
Or
What I often see is agents pasting pages or screenshots of comm logs. This is really not necessary and clutters up the report.
Be brief on your description and only include the absolute minimum relevant data.
It would be also great to see these examples directly on support pages, instead of having Vanguards to explain how we should or should not write reports, here in the forums.
Apparently he thinks that two accounts (Level 1 with just over 1000 AP and Level 4), both without a single open badge, putting (very) rare farm mods on a couch portal of another agent, is totally fine. Oh well...
From my personal perspective regarding previous endless reports, customer support doesn't read my descriptions whether they are long or short. Maybe they read yours. Or it could also be due to the fact that generally professional spoofers won't make mistakes by travelling in impossible times like you referred to, and reports would require complicated explanations that nobody reads if filed from my side.
What makes you think someone who doesn't travel impossibly fast, doesn't access portals that are inaccessible, and doesn't do things that would be impossible for a human, even is a spoofer?
Is it possible you're overreacting to other real players?
I've been told that the axiom "Everybody lies" is important in these things. Proof that isn't based on "I know" or "They said" holds a lot more weight, which is why high speed movements are often the easiest way to guarantee a ban.
Things like "I was in the carpark and there was no-one there" can't be confirmed by Niantic's data.
I do admit that I shifted visions before and after I made this thread. In between, there was a lot of discussions on various matters. That said, I now see it is near impossible to track down multi accounts, as it has proven difficult to prove. Spoofing and COMM harassment are the better options ATM.
By saying so I'm afraid you are obviously far from familiar with professional spoofers that are using cutting-edge spoofing techniques i.e. spoofing based on optimized .kmx .gpx route files. Do a simple searching and you will know what I mean.
IMO Sofonisba and Tura are handling COMM reports only. Not for other inappropriate gameplay reports. @3car has already mentioned that he is talking about reports of spoofing and multi accounts in the 4th reply of this thread.
plus someone would argue with you that "What makes you think someone stays in the same couch portal and do nothing else than upgrading the portal without generating any logs are multiple accounts? Is it possible you're overreacting to other real players who are merely family members of that specific player?"

I think that Ingress support changed post Lambert. And I think some agents here in the forum are with me.
I am not sure whether this thread is funny or sad, or both
Yeah I too think (and experienced) that this particular person isn't too helpful when talking about anti-cheating measures...
Isnt that the name of the bot that auto reply us everytime, and then nothing happens?
If you report spoofing and multi accounts, it is the human Lambert that responses. Harassment is handled by some other people.
I missed the joke. Yeah, I heard nothing that 'happened' post Lambert.
That’s an accurate assessment.

NIA wonders why people are bitter....lol
So we now have 2 cases where the spoofers was banned here right in the forums, while the support didn't ban. I really hope it is a coincidence.

I am sure I tried the ‘every detail’ and ‘one action per report’. I sure will try to make it brief on the next spoofer.

It is in the support pages 😅
The rules yes, the example with screenshots similar to yours nope.
I get far more responses from Sofonisba and Tura.
The support bot is Remy.
So 2018?

I'm curious about who reviews invalid portals because it seems some things are removed while other identical things aren't.

I think that @NianticCasey and @NianticAaron and @NianticEG are most active on this matter. No idea if any one of them is Lambert.

Assume everything's possible unless the impossible happens. Still, I do have a bit of thought in mind that the impossible may not lead to a ban.

meaningless
No, they are not limited to one type of report. I've had reports for spoofing closed by Tura, Sofonisba, Terence, Louise, Lucas, Johannes, Lambert.
