still disillusioned w/Prime

[Nubia Red Magic 5S, Android 10, Ingress 2.65]
I'll admit nesting in a COVID coma for the last several months, keeping my hacking streak on life support with drone hacks. The recent addition of unique Cap/Visit decorations in the scanner got me excited, and had the opportunity for a friend to drive me around in a new town, so i took it, as my Explorer is close to platinum.
There are still problems with prime, which have existed for more than a year now. Love the new features, but seriously guys, show us some usability love.
(1) taps are still hit or miss. it may take me five tries or more to open a capsule, or select a key.
(2) i turned the audio on so my friend could hear. imagine my (lack of) surprise when Ada's voice says "resonator deployed" as soon as you hit the round "deploy" button, BEFORE you actually deploy any resonators.
(3) text on screen is STILL dim and unreadable, with lack of contrast/colors in violation of web accessibility guidelines.
Admittedly, i've been hiding under a rock for a while, but my memory is "there was a bug list, but it got thrown away when it got too big, and got restarted." (reiterate, repeat...) Where is the current bug list? Do we know that Niantic is paying attention to any of our usability feedback?

@NianticBrian told in an interview that we now since a few weeks ago have some sort of an art director to tackle these visibility problems, someone correct me if I'm wrong. So hopefully things will get better pretty soon.
The visibility/contrasts are still VERY bad. I just got used to it. Remembered where the buttons are, learned to recognise smallest shades changes which mean unique marks or xm under fields. But my adaptation doesn't mean the app is in good shape, I mean there are online tools to check contrast ratio and visibility and Prime doesn't pass them at all.
I don't understand these mythical visibility bugs. Everything looks fine. I do think giving each layer a unique shape would be cool though.
c'mon man, you're kidding me, right? in the image i posted, the "Unknown" for portal owner is INCREDIBLY MORE READABLE than the actual name of the portal. after more than a year under prime, this is just comical.

This one has been reported so hopefully it's on the list.
so... almost 3 months now and no love... sigh
i posted about the visibility issue in october 2019. https://community.ingress.com/en/discussion/5306/bug-parityrequest-scanner-prime-contrast-fails-web-content-accessibility-guidelines-wcag-2-0#latest
and still no joy.
I have a weird glitch constantly.too that bugs the life out of me, when I take stuff from capsules it randomly flings me to a random place in my inventory
Looking at portals in my scanner, the portal title seems a lot more clear than the screen pic at the beginning of this thread. In that case the writing was still greyish, and now it seems to be more white (image below). However, it could definitely still be more clear, and the writing below it is still awful to read. This "lilac on black" scheme is awful to read and is used in many places, such as the stats list. I think it has been lightened somewhat, which does make it a bit better, but it is still a problem for many of us.
I know at least one visually impaired player who quit the game thanks to Prime and I'm sure there are many others.
Nothing beats the COMM being unusalbe imo. But yes visuals could be improved.
In your screenshot it looks like the phone's status bar is interfering with the display here (look at the portal level number "1" - it's darker at the top). That's probably a bug - on my phone the top of the portal info is a full centimetre below the top of the screen and the portal title is perfectly readable.
As to where the list of bugs is... an approximation to this can be found here:
(sorting by "top") but who knows how much attention Niantic is paying to it?
Finally:
(1) taps are still hit or miss. it may take me five tries or more to open a capsule, or select a key.
Dunno if anyone else agrees, but I certainly do. Sometimes, watching me try to select a resonator to recycle is comical. Also, while trying to recharge a lot of keys, it seriously interrupts the flow when I tap on a key and it doesn't select it. (What else seriously interrupts the flow: trying to tap on the '+' to use a cube and slightly missing, thus getting thrown back to the key view instead of the portal view. Seriously, who thought that was a good idea?)
Different devices display the game in different ways. I might make a post for reference on how just Pixel 3 and 4a appear different to me. It's not anything to do with purely specs but more on how Unity defines some of items through build.prop on Android. iOS is the easier one because you have x number of devices.
So you're saying this dude just needs a better device.
@starwort yes the status bar is greying out stuff underneath it, and i should have mentioned it. in addition to that, there is also a general problem with text contrast throughout the app.
This is partly on the newer versions of Android that extend the "visible screen" up under the notification bar, but the Ingress team should be avoiding putting anything of readable form in that area. It's simply to give a bit more view of the playing field.
I REALLY HATE the fake chromatic aberration around the edges of the map making it blurry. It looks like I'm wearing a bad pair of glasses, and gives me a headache, because I actually have to deal with this in REAL LIFE due to my vision issues. Making a fake version of my vision problems on top of it is stupid.
Absolutely not.
For reference, it's using the Snapdragon 865 that came out at the end of 2019. The specs for the phone are 128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 12GB RAM, or 256GB 16GB RAM.
Where is this still visible? It was removed from the main screen years ago, and they removed it from the Remote View, midway through last year? I can't find any instance of this still existing in 2.65.
The fake chromatic aberration is still there in the portal details view, "local" and "remote" (Pixel 4, Prime 2.65, Android 11). It's visible when there's a nearby neutral portal that ends up being positioned near the edge of the view (under "Owner" in the first screenshot, between "Deploy" and "Link" in the second).
Update: It's also still there in the link view (top left and top right corners in the screenshot below):
I know there is a specific forum area for reporting and tracking bugs, and you are more likely to get an answer to your questions over there. https://community.ingress.com/en/categories/report-a-bug gives a status for each bug reported. Maybe try searching for your bug there, or reporting it if it doesn't seem to be on the list... I know that's a pain if you feel you already reported it elsewhere but it's probably the best way to get your issues looked into.
Hmm, it definitely should be removed from the Link View. It's super 'background' for the Portal view, but either way doesn't need to be there. We lobbied to get it removed from the main view and the remote view some time ago, and I thought we'd succeeded. More to complain at then.
