I bought 4 key lockers, there are no key lockers anymore in the store

Hello.
Long time ago I received key locker as a gift from Niantic. For that moment I had only 2 that I bought before, so it was the third one. Recently I bought another one and today another one. So I bought in total 4 and 1 was gifted.
the question: why I cannot buy the fifth? It is not fair that some agents have 5 key lockers + 1 gifted, and some agents are stucked with 5 key lockers.
For the moment I have 2 red key lockers (1 of them was a gift), 1 green and 1 yellow and 1 white. I want to buy 1 blue key locker to complete my collection.
Please take my money, I need the blue key locker for my collection.

This is intentional, apparently. You could only get a 6th keylocker if you have bought all 5 normal ones before and then redeemed the free one during the 5th anniversary. Should you have claimed the free one before buying all normal ones, you still can't buy more then 5. Sorry to say, but you are not able to buy another one.
The reason for that only Niantic knows, I don't personally know why they don't offer the 6th keylocker for sale for those who don't got it during the anniversary. No one should have a problem with that, the agents that got it during the anniversary got it for free and had +100 keys over others for 3 years, and the one who buy it will finally get to that same level.
It is frustrating. +100 slots more for keys is such a privilege.
You're not the only one in that situation.
The store is designed to allow you to buy up to five (it checks your inventory) and the gift was designed out of this rule, but I think that at the time a lot of misstranslations happened arround the world, making some of us think that is was a free 6th to everyone (5 bought plus one gift, since it has a unique design).
Maybe someday they release another free locker, but this time tagged to only be redeemable if you have 5/5, to even things up to who have 6/5.
Releasing another free locker will not solve the problem: some agents will have 7 key lockers in this case, some 6 and newcomers only 5.
I report this as a bug and I suggest other agents in similar situation to vote up. We bought only 4 key lockers, please let us buy the fifth. It’s logical.
I didn't said to give other for free for everyone, I said do that with an "if" the player only have 5, excluding agents with 6 or more lockers.
It was a reward for those playing at the 5 year celebration. Giving it out to everyone now, would devalue that event.
I played at 5 year celebration and I am not asking to gift a key locker to everyone, I am asking about a possibility to buy 6th key locker to be in the same conditions as others. It’s not honest that some agents have 6 key lockers while others only 5.
Some people have medals that others don't have too. Some players have more money to travel. Some players have far more time. Some players who had bought 5 lockers at the 5 year anniversary got a free one.
Normal people don’t care a lot about virtual medals. Please do not flood on this topic, I’ve reported the bug: it is not possible to buy 5th key locker because of one gifted. I would suggest to add in the store a possibility to buy a key locker if there are less than 6. So people who received 6th key locker as a gift will be still happy, and people who didn’t can buy it. Let’s go for the parity ;)

That time has passed, keep looking ahead to the future, not the past.

I don't remember the event or celebration or whatever it was that led to my sixth key locker; it evidently lacked the significance of, say, an anomaly and its medal. So, if folks want six key lockers, let 'em have them, I say. This doesn't feel like the sort of thing that should set me apart.
From my understanding this is a bug that I cannot buy the blue key locker. There are 5 unique colors , and the last unique color that I need is not available because of gifted key locker. I would like to highlight again that I bought only 4 key lockers. So obviously I should have a possibility to buy the fifth key locker regardless the gifted one that I got.

This was a message sent at the time confirming that once you got the free locker, you could no longer buy 5 lockers after the event had ended.
As a customer I would like to hear official comment on this issue. Could you please advice why I cannot buy the fifth capsule? @NianticBrian Is it official position that some agents are privileged to have 6 key lockers and some of them can buy only 5 (or only 4 in my case) ?

But it isn't a bug. The store is working as designed, if you have one keylocker, you can't buy the pack and of you have 5 or more, you can buy anymore.
The gift keylocker worked aside from this, since it was part of a free package.
It's not a bug and also not a special prize for special agents. It just a misunderstanding.

Sadly, according to Niantic during the anniversary and repeated until now, it is in fact not a bug, but intentional, so it would actually be a feature request for the 6th locker. You're not the only one wanting the 6th one though, a lot of other agents are poking Niantic again and again with it, so at the very least, they know about the desire. I personally would like to see the 6th locker as well.

We're posting their official position because they've already stated it multiple times. What you want, is a personal response, not an official response. They've given the official response already.
The clearest statement on this from Brian was in December 2019:
I and others argued the case, but in the end it came down to the fact that they are not prepared to put engineer time into this as it's such a niche case. In retrospect this conversation was also notable for the mention of "a monthly subscription program that will include additional inventory space as well as other benefits in 2020".

It's just like the medialocker that so many ask, it's not rocket science, the the main part of the code is already done and use somewhere else, but they have other priorities and plans or just don't want to. Now that subscription is released, I doubt that any other forms of extra inventory are long gone.

During the actual event, they had to disable the purchase of normal lockers, because people were buying the other colors in an attempt to get 7 lockers, then complaining that they had two reds, and no black.
The system is not written for indepth determination of "what" lockers someone has, and while it could be done, it's an extremely niche request for a small development team with far wider reaching issues to work on like fixing COMM scroll, and improving the UI, while also adding new features.

But there is no black keylocker. Just gold, silver, red, green, blue and the pinky.
I don't know when the "It's Pink!" pity party started, but when it was released it was described as Black, because the vast majority of the Locker was black.
The "sixth" keylocker was only available to agents who already had five at the time the free one was gifted.
At the moment, the Store is currently set to a max limit of 5 Key Lockers per Agent, regardless of whether you purchased 4 Key Lockers and received a free one, or purchased 5 Key Lockers. We'll look into what would need to happen in order to increase the max limit, so I've updated the bug report status to
