I know you know this, but for others who may not, you can ignore users on the forum. I never actually see his inane posts, unless someone calls them out, and I choose to expand them. I regret it each time though, and am reminded why he is set to "ignore".
but, it seems soofing and multi-accounts is technically impossible to control.
as I think there is no definitive solution for that problem, at least they can try to prevent those actions from doing a lot of damage to the game and I think the best option is to allow creating fields within other fields, of course with conditions, such as not giving MUs and not allowing micro fields within another field.
We have been very excited about the intel upgrade and wish we could play more ingress.
Months would be better though.. 1, 3, 6, 12, 24? But on the other hand would scare away people who don't like bronze or silver tiers for too long in their profiles
a) People who don't like bronze should keep subscribing.
b) 6 months is a good point for an average player to approach level 12 and 13, where Gold badges are precious.
c) There should be incentives for continued subscription.
People will complain "But it's a paid badge", but then the vast majority of medals in the game are paid for, from face badges to the seasonal ones, to paying for travel to anomalies.
"But it's paying to level". So is an Apex, so is all that fuel money. Just paying for the subscription doesn't give you AP or the other six gold badges you need.
I can only assume the Ingress team will offer random bonuses to subscribers. During the anniversary event each year or maybe even during regular events once they return. Of course, half the people will be upset about those bonuses because they don’t contain exactly what those agents need, but I think it would be fun. Gimme some toast!!!
A player with an active subscription, can carry 500 more items into battle. That could be vital information. This is a game where lack of items can turn the outcome around. A huge reason why “backpack agents” or “ghoust agents” all of a sudden appers and drop capsules.
👍🏻. Very nice we can get little more inventory space when we get level up on C.O.R.E medal. Say we get 600 on silver 700 on gold and 800 more inventory space on onyx. Same on CMU we can get more when we level up the C.O.R.E medal.
This. I always find it interesting seeing what people carry in their inventory. While I know agents with well over 1,000 xmps. I’m rarely over two hundred. So many different play styles.
If ever got to a point where I ran out of gear before someone else, it would have been a ridiculously long battle anyway. Do people actually do this? Run out of gear playing against other people? Outside of anomalies, it's never happened to me.
That would be an absurdly painful element of normal gameplay to offset something that has far less of an effect than people ****. Especially when you can drop gear without a capsule too.
Imagine you needed to give someone keys during an operation?
Happened for me a dozen or more in my career, when attacking couch portals or heavily modded and upgraded clusters of portals. Sometimes had to leave just because I had no more bursters.
Some folks are really overprotective, to the point to chase you down by car, or just massively recharging with all available accounts, coordinate among the team or just with all available phones... Whatever is the case, wins who have more gear and patience.
You usually don't enchange keys minutes before an operation. The waiting time could be less, like 1-2h, just to avoid cheating during the events or battles like said above. Plenty of time to share keys and others items with a friend and yet a spare time for a drink while discussing the plan.

Gold xD

I completely agree with you.

please think again @NianticBrian
thanks!
You guys are being harsh with him. Have patience, one day he might understand and come to his senses and became more productive.
Thanks for that tip.
Didn't know that, will try this on jontebula too right away. Does it hide topics created by him too, or just posts?
@pewpewski I suggested exactly that a few months ago, my posts were disagreed with and then deleted.. Interesting how time changes things.
What?
I like the idea of badge tiers based on years of continuous subscription.
Months would be better though.. 1, 3, 6, 12, 24? But on the other hand would scare away people who don't like bronze or silver tiers for too long in their profiles
yes, someone who supports niantic 6months should have a different color and tier on badge vs someone who just bought 1 month and not longer.
So...
1,2,3,12,36 ;)
We can get gold easily but platinum and onyx will be real reward.
Hiding flair in settings would be really nice. I kinda dont wanna inform people if im active subscriber right now or not.
I like the idea of a tiered badge it gives people goals and rewards them for their money spent.
Tier it like the First Saturday badge. 1, 6, 12, 24, 36 (months) and then wings in month 72.
I would say this one is the better model.

"Good to know", maybe. But ultimately, nothing you can do anything about. You won't even know what takes up those extra 500 slots.

@NianticBrian @NianticCasey
Nah, if you want more space, pay for a higher tier of Subscription.
$5/month = +500
$10/month = +1000
$20/month = +2000
Just subscribing shouldn't give you extra space. You're paying for the space you already get.
I'd rather not imagine how much imbalance and whine (from myself included) would +1000 or more inv cause.
This. I always find it interesting seeing what people carry in their inventory. While I know agents with well over 1,000 xmps. I’m rarely over two hundred. So many different play styles.
Make the balance between subscribers and free play agents bad. Now they work on model both good for free play agents and pay for subscription good.
Far less than people pretend, especially since I can already beat multi-backpackers with my single 2000 item inventory.
Inventory reduces travel time, it doesn't increase power.
Try beating a dude with 500 more bursters/shields/resos, who knows the game as well as you do. Good luck.
With 500 you still have some small chances. With 1000 more, there's no chance unless the person is bad at the game.
What if capsule had a waiting period, like 24h before I could be opened by other agent?
They would still be able to cheat, but at least this usage would be eliminated (anomalies, FS, etc).
What do you mean? Same for all agents pay for subscription.
