[BUG] Still unable to use Kinetic Capsule
in Report a Bug
Description of the issue:
My fellow agent has an issue when trying to load a kinetic capsule, a error message pops up indicating that there is a kinetic capsule already in progress. We tried removing cache, on different phones, nothing.
Android 8.0 Galaxy S7 Ingress prime 2.58.1 to 2.60.1(still not working after update)

What's your fellow agents in-game name? This sounds like a server side issue, probably something that needs to be fixed on the affected account itself. I had the same problem after I have recycled my Kinetic Capsule and was granted another one, but as the program in the first Capsule never finished, the server thought I still had one running. After telling the team my agent name, it was fixed.
@InvestigateXM Never knew we could recycle the Kinetic, and real thanks for the info.
For the devs, agent name is 'kyoungsang'. Or can also be found by the capsule number, possibly.
It was a bug that you could recycle it, and it was fixed pretty much instantly.
@NianticBrian I think we got the cause, can we request a fix?

Still can't use Kinetic Capsule!
About a month, status changed from ‘new report’ to ‘investigating’. Better now than never.
I've had this bug since the beginning of using the Kinetic Capsule when they first came out, after I claimed my first reward.
At first thought it was a one time use, but then found that it's a bug.
I've already tried reinstalling Ingress and clearing my Cache.
I have yet to try to see if this bug appears on another phone. (I would like to know if it does if anyone with this bug has tried it yet.)
Hopefully this get's fixed before the 8th of Feb.

@Joshtiger Please upvote this report if you're facing the same problem with us. We think it is a server-side problem, so changing phones won't work (If clearing cache doesn't work it'll most not work on other phones as well).

It reproduces on both Android and iOS despite I re-installed the app.
I guess it’s a database inconsistency.

@SierraEcho Thanks for your report, and please upvote this if you haven't yet. We are assuming it is a problem on the server side, and nothing'll work on the player side.
@NianticBrian Most of these players couldn't benefit the last reduction of distances required to forge the items. Can we be assured that this is being investigated?
Yes, this is a different error than something we saw earlier with recycled Kinetic Capsules. We've checked and the Kinetic Capsules exist in inventory for each of the following Agents. Is this an accurate list of who's seeing this error message?
I've tried to reset the Kinetic Capsule. Can you let me know if you're still seeing this error message now?
I have asked to check, and will follow up ASAP.
@NianticBrian , @kyoungsang told me her Kinetic is now working fine. For the other agents they need to check here and see.

I noticed my icon got reset to just a res key with no background like how it originally came before I tampered with it.
